Hi,
A question for anyone there or just back - What did you wear? Shorts or jeans, etc. ? We're going to SSR 2/19 - 2/24 and t ::MickeyMo he weather is predicting a high of mid 70's but in the 50 - 60's at night and morning. I don't know what to pack for my sons - 5 and 7 - without overpacking. Help!

We just returned on February 3rd. We brought capri pants and jeans for casual and we made sure we had sweatshirts and sweaters for evenings. My husband also wore shorts one day. We also brought windbreakers in case of rain (it did rain one day we were there...but it was still pretty warm out so it didn't bother us). I also think it depends on where you are from. We are from NJ so it felt pretty warm for us! Our technique is to layer!

Have a great trip!

Thanks for the info. I was planning on capris as well for myself. I'm from NY so it will feel warm to us too as well.

We were there Jan 19-25. Weather was in the 60's during the day and 30's-40's at night. Kids still went swimming, pools were heated. Too cold for DH and I though. :teeth:

I found jogging suits worked out really great for our family, especially the ones that are lined. If warm during the day, the jackets came off. Brought additional warm jackets for nighttime, though many nights just a polartec vest was enough. Used mittens one night. Our coldest night was at MGM watching Fantasmic but we'd brought warm clothes and bought a stadium blanket (which is also on me right now ;) ). I couldn't believe some people were still walking around in tank tops - but they looked pretty miserable. We did wear shorts on one particularly warm day, but glad I didn't pack too many.

Have a great trip!! :3dglasses

We were in Orlando 2/4 - 2/7 and we were too cool to go swimming. This was a disappointment to me! The pools ARE very nicely warmed, but the air just felt too cool to me. If it had been sunny, that would have made the difference. I'm not sure the temps went above 70 that whole weekend. It did go down into the 40's in the night.

I hope you have warmer weather, and sunshine! We're from Ohio, and yes, we're used to cold weather.

Hi! We just got back Sunday evening. We mostly wore jeans/long pants or jean capris and tennis shoes. Always needed sweatshirt/wind jacket in am and pm. Friday it was in the 30's and very windy. Needed gloves that day and at least 3-4 layers of tee shirts/sweat shirts. The lines were non-existent in the am for Splash Mountain the days we were in Magic Kingdom (Wed, Fri, Sat).
We went on Kali River Rapids Saturday pm and this was a big mistake.
I thought my husband was soaked the first go round, then an absolute wall of water hit my DD14 on our second ride. Out of the 6 people on the ride she was the only one that got wet, and a poncho would not have helped her out at all. I thought she was going to turn blue before we left the park. Had to forego our fastpasses on Dinosaur. Not too much of a tragedy since she rode it twice on Friday.

We did swim in one of the quiet pools at OKW near our room Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I did not think the water was warm enough but it was nice sitting out and going in the hottub. It was very restful, very few guests. My DD9 also swam in the feature pool at OKW on Tuesday and Wednesday. She really loved the new slide, went down it many times. It was warm on Tuesday (even my husband went in) but the heat wasn't working properly Tuesday pm so it was not warm enough Wednesday. It did not slow her down though. I went it but was not comfortable. It was very crowded in this pool. I much prefered the smaller pool.
