It came out so cute!!! I love the ruffles! Lydia looks so beautiful in it.
Thank you!!!
I LOVE that fabric! the dress has the perfect twirl factor! I also LOVe that everyone coordinated!
Teresa, I'm so sorry your Grandma has been ill. I don't always get to read all of the posts so I'm either behind or I somehow manage to miss a page or something. Anyway, I'm glad she's on the mend now.
I like a nice 90inches of twirl factor for Lyddy's skirts!
Thankfully, Grandma is doing much better now!
Any advice on which I should do I am really torn.
I would just do the placket in the front, and maybe the collar.
Teresa and Heather So glad to hear grandma is doing better and home. I have been praying for her all week.
Thank you!
I just noticed my ticker at the bottome! I only have 2 months and 2 weeks! I have a lot of sewing to do!!!!! I am still working on minnie dot dress! UGHHH!!
Hey, did you see mine!!!??!!! Less than 300 days!!!
LOL! My Ruffler and I had a disagreement yesterday

. . . I'm making DD some super-swishy pants (as she calls them), they're just easyfits with a ruffle cuff, but - the ruffle was a chore. I'm happy to report though, that I WON the arguement with the ruffler!!!

I re-did the ruffle 4 times (on each cuff!!!) But it all worked out. Not sure if I'll ruffle today, my house work is neglectged.
I was wondering if anyone has a favourite camping spot in Western PA, or Michigan (not too far north) or even OH? The kids are missing their Dad like crazy (OK, me too!) and they want to go camping in the USA (DS says he NEEDS Berrry, Berry Kix cereal - we can't buy it in Canada) I thought I would book a weekend somewhere - it's so hard to make a decision by looking at a website . . . We have a tent trailer and would prefer to have an electric site, and a great place to swim! Oh, and shopping nearby would be great!!!
I'm off to drop the kids off at Daycamp, will be back after going to buy some thread (at the lousy fabric shop in town

)
We love Ft. Custer in Augusta, MI!!! (Yeah, I know Heather already told you, but I'm seconding that!) Our family goes there every year for a big extended family camping trip. It is lots of fun. There is a nice beach, biking, hiking and horseback riding trails (although you'd have to bring your own bike and horse). And, it's quite beautiful and nicely maintained. The camping sites are wooded, so it's not like you are in a big parking lot, but they have electricity hooked up to them. There is a Hobby Lobby and a Joann's in Battle Creek, which is not very far, as well as in Portage, which is just a bit further away. There is also a Field's fabric in Portage. Plus, Battle Creek and Portage have nice malls as well as the usual Walmarts and Kmarts.
And, as an added incentive, there are several wonderful Disers that live nearby!
I love that dress, so twirly! I love how everyone was matching but not exactly the same.
.
Thanks Steph!
I love this dress! It turned out SO cute and Lydia did a fantastic job picking out the fabrics! That daisy fabric matches the border in Tessa's room!!
That's what that daisy fabric reminds me of! I think I got it for .50 a yard on clearance! Gotta love that
Walmart clearance!
1.)I just started a dress for Tessa last night. I am now going to call it her "polly pocket" dress!
2.)What is with those girls at the movie theater? I wouldn't be too offended, considering how most of the people in that town dress...
Let's just say there was a severe downturn in fashion after KMart closed.
3..)There's are my beautiful girls!! I told you already, but I LOOOOOVE Lydia's dress! I love the way the striped fabric goes with the "paradise" fabric. It's just beautiful! Arminda's skirt turned out VERY pretty! What a cute little friend she made, too! LOVE Corey's tied. VERY cool! He is such a good sport to match his sisters, and be happy doing it. Even David looks very dapper! Cool frog!
4.)We love going to Fort Custer Recreation Area in Augusta, MI! It's a beautiful campground! There is a nice lake for swimming, but no pool. Here's a link to a little bit more info.

1.)It sounds like it is going to be so cute Heather!
2.)This makes me laugh so hard!!! I read it to Corey and could barely get it out I was laughing so hard! He also started busting out laughing!
3.)Aww, thanks Heather!
4.)Yep, I agree! Brian is thinking of going there tomorrow.
Hi Everyone,
And the back
That is so cute!!!! I love it!
absolutely love the Wall-E dresses and the Paradise outfits.
Thanks Crystal!
Whew! I just introduced myself and already I am way behind. I'm back on page 169!
Anyway, here (hopefully) is a picture of the Snow White dress I made my daughter. It came out a little low cut. And this isn't the best pic for the viewing of the dress, but whatever!

I think it was a Simplicity pattern.

Here is one from a couple of years ago, Cinderella dress...
[/IMG]
Last one for now...Ariel dress. Of course, DD insisted on wearing a pink shirt underneath it.

These are fantastic!!! I love that Cinderella one!!!
Hey everyone!
It's a girl! We now have three princesses!
The new baby arrived on July 2nd, 2008!
It was a very easy delivery. Four pushes and baby arrived! She entered the world at 12:38pm, just in time for lunch! She was 7 lb. 1 oz., so for me pretty small!
Her name is Lillian Kate and we are calling her Lilly. Her sisters are screwing up her name though and calling her Ella

! I have no idea why. So at this rate, that will be her nickname!
She is an easy baby

and sleeping about 4-5 hours at a time. I am just hoping that continues! I promise I'll post pictures in a day or two after I download them!

Lilly!!!!
I hope she continues to be an easy baby for you!! I can't wait to see pictures!!!!
Those outfits are wonderful, even the tie!!I really like the colors. (They would even be good for AK!) Your kids are precious.
Thank you so much!!!!
So just wanted to have a shameless pity moment...I sprained my ankle!!! And it's pretty bad. Luckily this happened now and not in Sept or poor DH would have to try to figure out how to push DD in a stroller and me in a wheelchair cuz there is no way I can do all that walking
I fell walking out of my own house (apparently forgot there was a step

). Let me tell you, nothing slows you down like a sprained ankle OR and when you drive half of the day for work...nothing hurts worse than trying to drive with a sprained right ankle! I had to drive 3 hours straight yesterday. Then, because I'm a gigantic baby about icing it, my DH took my ankle and bandaged the ice packs to me when I got home!!!
OH and the worst part...I was on a really good kick going to the gym and now I didn't get to go yesterday. I had been going to the gym 3 nights a week and doing water aerobics 2 nights. Water aerobics is tomorrow so I think I'm going to skip the gym again tonight and start with water aerobics and see how that goes...but I was told that it might hurt for 6 weeks?!?!?! Has anyone else sprained an ankle? Did it hurt for 6 weeks????
OUCH! I feel for you!!! I sprained my ankle when I was in 3rd grade, and it doesn't hurt too much anymore... but, the one I sprained when Corey was a baby, 16 years ago still bothers me....
BIG GIVE ANNOUNCEMENT!
I NEED YOUR INPUT!
The MAW Big Give idea has gone over really big. I would love to continue this venture, but I need some input from those that plan to participate.
2. Many families have older children and adults travelling. AT WHAT AGE SHOULD WE CUT OFF CUSTOMS AND CONSIDER THE OLDER CHILDREN AS ADULTS? I know that many 10/11/12 year olds are not going to be interested in wearing customs. We can still make shirts for the older children for the group shirts, etc. What age should we set for this?
I'll post the next family soon!
I don't know about the older children. I don't like the idea of setting a cut off. I think that we should go by a family by family basis, especially if they are siblings to the MAW child. I think if they are not siblings, we could set a specific cut off but, I don't know what that would be! For the siblings, I would like to make them things as long as they would like to wear them or if we have enough people volunteering.
Now, that wasn't much help at all, was it!
I would like to thank you though Shannon for getting this all organized!!!
