I actually just bought what I needed. :scared1:

I wish I could do that. I spent $140 at the wal-mart in town that is actively clearancing their fabric. DH left on a business trip and was like ' A lot of this is going to be gone when I get back, right?" :)

Does anyone know where I could find a Minnie Mouse costume pattern for my 6yo GD? If I don't start sewing it soon it won't be ready for halloween.:)

I got a Question for you guys. I haven't made anything strip ork and I ahd a ? about it.

Do you just take a bunch of 'strips' of material the same length and width and sew them together until the panel is the size you want and then add a hem and elastic?

Thanks for the compliments everyone!!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

The stepsisters went CRAZY when they saw this outfit!!!!!!!

WDWJune20083523.jpg

OMG!! :rotfl2: They were the same stepsisters when we went. Anastasia is so funny!! She actually knows Irelands name now..because we see her so much. :lmao: They make all the time and money spent on the outfits worth it. The pictures are beautiful! It looks like you had a great time!

Congrats! Now you can have this baby! Delivery with my #3 was a piece of cake and she was the best baby ever (til she was about 16 months old).

I need to hear more of this! My second delivery was so easy and an easy baby (I swear she slept 22 hours a day for the first 3 months only waking up every four hours during the day to eat and every twelve hours at night!). She slept 5 hours straight at night from the day I brought her home and at 6 weeks started sleeping 12 hours straight. When I took her to the pediatrician for her 2 week check-up they scolded me for not waking her up every 2-3 hours to feed her but that all quieted down after they weighed her and she was a pound over her birth weight. I totally believe in never waking a sleeping baby (unless there is an extenuating circumstance where it would be necessary). I am so scared that if this baby is like my first born (Grace) who was up for 5 hours straight at night from 12-5 and wouldn't take a nap, etc. that we will have to cancel our WDW trip that we have scheduled for September. I am so worried that I haven't even put up a ticker yet since I don't want to get my hopes up. Or started sewing :scared1: ! I probably ought to get some things cut out so that if we do go I'm not too far behind. I'll get busy on that after I wash up all of the baby stuff I haven't been doing since I've been doing Fourth of July dresses. We haven't even told Grace and Claire yet either, although they are begging to go everytime they see a commercial or they show the castle at the start of a movie.

I hope it all goes smoothly! I want an easy baby and a trip to WDW! Boy I sound spoiled! :rotfl2:

I just read you tutorial on applique and it was great! I am certainly not skilled enough to try it yet ut i feel like I could actually work up to that one day! At least for now I feel like I know a little secret! :rotfl:

The dress is a teeny bit big, but that's a good thing. And her hair looks kinda stringy because it was still wet.

Cute! I really like all those patterns together. And I agree that a little bit big is a good thing at that age. They just grow too much!

I was looking at pics of dd2 from Christmas & it hit suddenly how much she has changed since then. I hadn't really noticed beforem but she's starting to lose that baby look. :(

I sewed snaps onto the ribbon for the flip-flop and then put the other side of the snap on the backside of the bow so that I could make them interchangeable. I wrapped the flip-flop in a creamy/white color so that it would be neutral with all the bows/outfits. I think these will look sooo cute with the pillowcase dresses that she has been wanting me to make since they have the ribbon ties but I just did not want to have to make all the colors she would want, so this idea popped into my head. The turqouise is the only color I have done so far but in the next few days I plan to do red, orange, black and pink.

This is a GREAT idea.

Morgan, JORD and I vote for this!!!!!:thumbsup2

I guess we don't have a "vote" smiley LOL

ME TOO!!!

Just wanted to pop in and tell everyone hi. Will be in pretty much lurk mode for the next 2 weeks. Things have changed a lot in our lives in the last week. Which is gonna put me in lurk for the next few. I love everything you guys have posted. There were so many pages I was behind lol. Hoping I am back before you guys move on me again but if you do hopefully someone will come find me lol.

Anyway I had a good ending to a not so great day though I won 3 yards of this fabric. :)

dd69_1.jpg

Yeah, ya outbid ME!!! :( I just saw your ID as the winning bid. I knew I shoulda upped my max bid before I left the office. I don't have a computer at home so once I leave the office I can't do anything about it. SO I lost BOTH of the fabrics I was bidding on for Lily. Eh, probably for the best, My car has been having a hard time shifting the last two days and this morning I had to have it towed to the shop. $440!! I need the master clutch and master cylinder replaced. And since it's in the shop we're getting the muffler that's been missing for a month replaced. :headache: So, Heather....I hope you're happy! DH has officially proposed canceling my Birthday trip to WDW. GRRR.
But things could be worse. I am thankful that I have the money to fix the car and family to help when these situations arise. We are still going to WDW in July for the kids birthdays ( I still have to find some fabric for Lily's b-day outfit- saw the same e-bayer on etsy w/ yardage of the present fabric so I will probably just do that)

Anyway, counting my blessings today.
...t.

Thanks! I actually made them with out a pattern. well kinda. I used a pair of pj shorts and traced them and made my own pattern adding room for seams. I am actually debating TRYING to to make my own pattern for a dress..... :scared1: What can i say i make 3 articles of clothes that are average and i think I can do it all!:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Question for all you CarlaC easyfit users!
I need to make a pair of shorts for a newborn. Should I size down the size 1, or size up the dolly pattern?

I thought about that same thing just last week. I think it would be easier to size up the dolly pattern. I haven't tried it yet though.
