Question for all of you. I love those round neck tops and dresses but it looks like YCMT only has them up to a size 7 which my dd is now BUT I would like to have the pattern last since it isn't cheap. Am I missing it and there is a larger size? Or does any one know if another company sells one?
I am going to get my DD(9) McCall's 5616. At first I wasn't crazy about it because the top is pieced but now I have a great idea for making it. Of course I didn't get this idea while the McCall patterns were on sale at JoAnns.

Hi Boutique Ladies....

I have a question. DD5 has a dress from the Disney store and a corner of the princess decal has peeled off. It's all in one piece and I would love to repair it, but don't know if that's possible. It's one of those iron on transfer types.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
Do NOT iron it with fabric over it as it will stick to the fabric. Use parchment paper to iron it back on or try the fabric glue someone mentioned. Good luck!

I bought the pattern, printed out all the pieces..and said...forget it! LOL. I'm not brave enough for that one...
I went back and bought something simpler to do...this flu I have is really getting to me...I have no energy and just barely make it in to work...
Tessa is such a little doll...Ireland got to feed giraffes before and their tongues feel like sandpaper and are very dry...weird..:lmao:
:wizard: Hope you feel better soon! The bowling shirt pattern is a bit overwhelming at first but if you just plod through it the end result is fantastic and not really very hard.

Thanks for everyone's    about my DS. He was born and died 13 years ago last Monday so this is usually a hard week for me.

Cool Thanks! I now have to wait until the MCalls patterns go on sale again. I am also waiting to get a pattern for my niece's dress. I might start with making her one of those semi home made dresses 1st... If i do I am going to make her and Nikki matching Disney ones.

I'm hoping I can hold out til they go on sale again too. My trip isn't until 8/14 so there is a good chance but now that I've got this idea I want to do it now.

I'm making my DD(5) a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse storybook skirt and I want to make my DD(9) this pattern using some of the same fabrics. I've got enough projects to keep me busy but I'm anxious to work on this one. I may just break down and buy the pattern with a 50% off coupon.

Well I've been absent again - this time I have an excuse. A friend (who I originally met online ) had a baby boy on monday - born sleeping at 28weeks :( I'm so upset for her and not sure what I can do to help -she's a bit too far away for me to cook for (about an hour drive each way) - I'm hoping to get to the memorial on friday but I feel in two minds as I'd have to take my girls and I'm worried that would offend her. It makes me hug my girls just that little bit tighter. A few of us are contributing to get her something - sort of a wee memorial and to let her know we are thinking of her.
Sorry for my ramble - brain is still overprocessing things atm :(

Oh that's awful. I'm so sorry. But can I just say, what a beautiful way to put that: "born sleeping"

I'm so sorry about your friend. How long ago was it?
Thank you...this was actually over the winter so it was few months ago. Someday I'll remember not to pick up the phone to call her! When my niece was born Monday, I immediately picked up the phone to call her. Oh well. Like I told your sister...Disboards is my therapy :rotfl:

Wow, must have the weekend for the zoo! We went to the zoo Sat too (so I could try out my new camera!!!). But now I'm feeling a little guilty that I didn't make DD a custom for the occasion.:rolleyes1 Nice job!

My ds5 love Mickey's clubhouse! Is there a fabric out there with it? IU can't wait to see what you make!

While I'm waiting for my photos to upload into photo bucket, here is some fabric I won on :wizard: a few weeks ago. It is from Asia but doesn't smell weird :confused3 :rotfl2: (I'm almost disappointed) I'm going to use some of it to make Luke a bowling shirt for his birthday trip and hopefully will have enough left to use for some thing else.

8/14 is Jenna's b-day!!!

I went to Hancock today and I went a little overboard. They had lots of good stuff half off. I got the surfing mickey and a Nemo storybook. All novelty fabric is 40% off. i got wall-e and the new pink princess I have been seeing on ebay. I also picked up a yard of chiffon for a play princess veil for DD. I got 2 yards of each fabric except the chiffon and only spent $30 so I guess it wasn't too bad. Now if I can just convince DH that DD really NEEDED 4 new outfits!!:confused3

The dress is a teeny bit big, but that's a good thing. And her hair looks kinda stringy because it was still wet.

Linnette

I am glad you are feeling better. Hope dh heals quickly. The dress is beautiful!

The first time I shirred it was perfect, easy, great...every attempt since then has been less than stellar :confused3 now I'm a little askeered of it. Sorry Lauren is sick!

Thanks for everyone's    about my DS. He was born and died 13 years ago last Monday so this is usually a hard week for me.

More hugs to you    during what must be a difficult time for you.

I just started shirring and I am in love. I made a portrait peasant top for Lauren and rather than use the elastic on the sleeves, I shirred the sleeves (just 2 rows of shirring) and I really like the way it turned out. I made a pair of easy fit shorts for Lauren yesterday with the intention that they be more like bloomers for her to wear under dresses/skirts. I made the regular pattern and then shirred 3 rows around the hem line - voila - bloomers.

My ds5 love Mickey's clubhouse! Is there a fabric out there with it? IU can't wait to see what you make!
I bought a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse fabric storybook panel and will use that for the skirt. I got the idea here of course! There have been a couple of really cute one and other storybook skirts too.

I LOVE that fabric!!!! I want to make my DS a Mickey bowling shirt. I was thinking of solid fabrics and a purchased Mickey applique for the back but that fabric is so COOL!!!!

8/14 is Jenna's b-day!!!
She should celebrate at Disney!

I guess I could celebrate for her.;)

Glad your DH is home. Hope he has a speedy recovery!:wizard:

My girls are 8/16 and 8/18! :rotfl2:
They should celebrate at Disney too!

Guess I could celebrate for them too.

I need some advice!

I am making a little einstein dress using CarlaC stripwork pattern. I am using these 2 fabrics:
2008_0403Image0001.jpg

Which of these 2 should I use for the other strips?
2008_0718Image0001.jpg

I also went to Hancocks...I am in trouble! and got some different Wall-e fabric than I got last week, which will work for the bodice..
2008_0718Image0002.jpg

I also picked up the Nemo story book. I was wondering if anyone out there would trade the storybook for 1 of 2 things...either a mickey mouse storybook or a 101 dalmation pillowcase (new).
