So cute!!!!
You really should write to Disney. I had a nasty experience at POFQ in Aug 06. It was my family of 5 plus 2 other adult friends. I had requested connecting rooms as I didn't know how well my DS would do in a room with our friends. They had assigned us non connecting rooms so I asked if they could try to find us connecting rooms. I figured we would work it out somohow if they didn't have them but it was worth asking for them. The manager came over and made a call to the room assignor who I assume suggested water view rooms (we paid for standard) and she said "yah, I saw those but I don't want to give them those. I'll call maintenance on these other rooms." So she went in the back to call maintenance and came out and said we found you rooms but they aren't ready. So we went to Epcot and called about 3pm to get our room numbers. We got back to the resort around 9pm and went to find our rooms. We got to the rooms and one of the doors was ajar and the room had no carpet and no furniture-the adjoining room had about 20 matresses in it. We're all tired and getting cranky by this point. We go to the front desk and the girl on was very nice and quickly got us assigned to water view connecting rooms (who cares about water view at a moderate resort with exterior hallways????). We had to wait a while for our luggage to be delivered. NOT a fun way to start a trip.
So the next day I saw that manager and told her what happened and she laughed.

And then she told me it wasn't her fault.

I was furious with her response and total lack of empathy for me traveling with 3 small children and a DH who doesn't like to travel and is not a Disney fan. I was determined not to let it ruin my trip but when I got home I did write to Disney and someone from the excutive offices did give me a call. It was nice to talk to someone about it and they at least pretened to listen and care. I don't know if my letter made a difference-if they made any changes or anything but I'm really glad I sent it.
:
UN Be LEIVABLE!!! GEESH!! That is is just awful! And, for the manager to LAUGH about it!! That is just ridiculous!
Okay...am I the only adult who kinda wishes that they could wear customs? Frankly, sometimes I want to wear a twirl skirt
I SOOO want to wear a pettiskirt!!!!
but I wanted to share my son's graduation pictures with you all
My dress was a hit!!!Everybody loved it...
Linnette
You guys look great!!! What a handsome young man!! Does he go into middle school now?
I went to the doctor today and I am dilated to a 4, 50% effaced! Yeah!
Of course I'll still have to be induced like the first two, but at least I'm making some progress before I get to the hospital!
WOO HOO!!!
Nope youa re not alone at al! My mom bought a pettie skirt and shirt for my DD8 and is giving it to her over July 4th weekend when she is here from Atlanta visiting and we decided if she doesn't like it not only do we have to beat her just kidding being sarcastic! but if she doesn't like It I am wearing it even if it only fits over my right thigh! I say we all get one with our tiaras and wear them at WDW!
GREAT idea!!!!
Okay. I have been lurking for about three weeks now and I have just about made through all the prior posts. I love the outfits!!!! I even pulled out my sewing machine to get some customs ready for our upcoming Sept. (
free dining) trip. My goal is to complete an outfit (x 3 for my DD7, DD2, DD8m) each week. I have a three completed so far. Right now I am working on a 4th of July/Epcot outfit patchwork twirl with blue and minnie dot red. (inspired by an earlier post. I hope to get photos some time this weekend so I can post. I sometimes have to force myself to stop reading your posts and start sewing.
My inspiration file is rather thick at this point. Now I want to contribute some ideas.
You were "window shopping" not lurking!

An outfit a week as an admirable goal!!! And, it probably won't give you a horrible back ache like my outfit or two a day marathon did the week before we left!
She didn't have a stitch of sun before she went, and her legs, face, and arms are just fried!! Her face is the worst. On her arm, there is a wide white band where her wrist band was. She thinks its funny...I don't. I gave her a cool shower and put aloe on her..Now she's shivering under the covers on the couch..At least her cold is better. I know I shouldn't have let her go, but she felt better this morning...Now little Lexie is the one blowing her nose, and coughing...Oh welll....RIP Franklin.
Aww, that sounds horrible about poor Franklin!
And poor Ireland!!! OUCH!! I hope it heals up quickly.
and, I hope Lexie gets feeling better soon too! You poor guys are having a hard time of it lately.
Newbie questions again!
The rufflers that everyone loves; Do they look like a presser foot? I looked all over joann's and couldn't find anything...
What would you use to bind one of those pre quilted panels around the edges? Or do they just sell something called 'binding'?
They are a great big contraption! If you do a search for ruffler attachment, I'm sure you will find a picture of one. You need to know what kind of shank you have on your sewing machine to get the right one (low, high, or slant)
Here are my finished outfits for the girls. I tried to get some cute pics but Katie has way too much attitude today.
The outfits and your girls look adorable!!
Hi Everyone,
Well, I have the shirts and shorts finished for the Big Give family - I'll send them out this weekend!! JHAM made me a bow to go with the outfit for Isabelle - but I cant find the pic!!! It was really cute and colorful!!
Wendy
Great work Wendy!
So Katie decided to get out of her stink and she brought out the camera and was dressed like this.
So cute!!! What a sweetie!
I got DD's Wall-e dress done and i think the shirring came out pretty good:
I can't even TELL you how cute this is!!! I want some of that fabric SOOOO bad!!!!
This first one was a practice. I pieced together a commercial pattern and followed another from TJ's bookmarks to put the pocket and hood on.

TMNT shorts (no, they are not PJ's because the ones I made him last June are now too small. That was my official start to sewing (except for home ec class and the occasional Halloween costume butcher jobs I did)

I scored this fabric this week. My daughter wants to make hair scrunchies or pillowcases out of them for her Bday sleepover. Thanks to all who gave me great ideas. I might go back to get another yard and make the main part of the pillowcases with a cheaper matching fabric and the end of it with HM fabric. There won't be more than 8 girls, so that is feasible on our budget!

Great job on the outfits!!!! Your son is such a cutie!!! (and I see an Ariel in the background, although I always look for the Turtle!)
Arminda BEGGGGED me to buy some of that HM fabric for her and Casey! She just loved it. But, I was mean, and didn't buy any. Bad mommy, I know!
Hi all! I've been gone for a while dealing with real life. I decided to take a break from all of that to post one of the few things I've done over the last couple of months since I've posted.
Denise, it's so nice to see you posting again! It sounds like you've had a rough time of it! Poor Riley! I can't believe the doctor would suggest that it was all in your heads!!! What a complete idiot!!! I hope you find a doctor that can help her. The poor little girl!
I love your dance outfit!! That looks great!!! And, thanks for sharing your NYC pictures with us!!! We went to NYC once when I was in High School. It was when they were working on the Statue of Liberty, and it was covered in scafolding. So, we didn't get to go up to it. It wasn't the best trip. I hear New York has changed since then though, so who knows, maybe I'll go back someday! It looks like you guys had a great time!
