Does anyone know if it is possible to bring the caramel apples from the confectionery in Downtown Disney on board? We are having a meet and greet in my stateroom the first day and I thought the kids would enjoy the apples as take away gift for their room later that night. I just don't know if the packaging technically meets the requirements.

We have never had a problem with bringing anything ON to the ship. Yes, I'm aware of the written info that says no food.....but they don't enforce it or ask in any way. They used to have a snack bar in the terminal, and several times DD walked on with the "treat" she was eating when it was our turn to board! It was definitely not packaged.

There are strict requirements about bringing things OFF the ship.

Thank you so much for the informaiton. I hate spending that much on something I can make myself. But I'll be on vacation so I guess it's worth the money to make a little one smile:-)

I don't know if I would do it. That's a lot of money to spend on something you might not be able to bring onboard.

We're seriously considering carrying on a bottle of Ken's Honey Mustard! :thumbsup2

Even more than the packaging is the fact that it is fruit (and not technically prepackaged). I wouldn't risk it. Fruit is always a touchy thing to bring in/out of ports. If they find it, I would guess it wouldn't be allowed in. Yes the pp is right, they don't do great checks for food. But would hate to spend that much money just to see it thrown away.

The Ken's Honey Mustard is a whole different thing because it is pre-packaged. If it is an open bottle might be the only hang up there.

I'm gonna try not to open the bottle and do shots of it on the plane ride down to FL! :rotfl2:

Thanks everyone. My check-in begins in a few weeks. I'll just ask the concierge people if they can arrange to have something similar in the room. I haven't sailed in over 8 years so soooooo much has changed.
