Package pickup at hotels

Im going to WDW in a few months and was looking forward to do package pickup at hotels, but I am reading this book and it says it takes till the next day. Is this trie? How fast is it usually? Staying at AoA

If you send purchases to AoA, they will usually arrive at the resort gift shop the next day or if it's close to the end of the day, it will be the following day. The specific wording on the Resort Delivery paperwork says:

Resort Delivery: All packages purchased 3 hours prior to Park close will be available at your Resort after noon tomorrow (with the exception of special events or Extra Magic Hours) (Their bolding and italics)


If you want your purchases the same day you can utilize package delivery to the front gate and pick them up as you leave the park. Again, there is a cut off time in the evening.
