We have just booked the 7 days for the price of 4 package over Labor Day weekend, with meals on our own. There are 2 adults, and 2 kids -- a 13-year old boy and 9 year old girl (not big eaters.) We plan to eat TWO big meals per day at nice Disney restaurants or buffets, and snacks in between. Would it pay us to convert to the meal plan? Your thoughts, please.:D

Hi!
I have never done the meal plan, but I will bump this up for those that can help you out! :) Have a wonderful time! :)

With the Silver Plan you will be paying approx. $33.50 per wish for adults and Jr. (age 10 - 17) and $27.00 per wish per child (3-9). Most of the kids meal are around $6.00. Tax and gratuity are included. As you stated your kids are not big eaters. We just used the Silver Plan and it worked great for us. We have an 11 & 7yr old. The 11yr old eats very well, so it worked for him. The 7 yr old was required to choose from the kids menu so it's not a good deal for him. We did pay cash a few times for the 7yr olds kids meal and used the wishes for something of more value (boat rental, pin kit). Also I'm not sure that you will be able to eat 2 big meals each day. Included w/Silver Plan you get a choice of appitizer OR soup OR salad, entree, dessert, non-alcoholic beverage and dessert, coffee. I hope this helps.

We did the gold plan and loved it !!!!
If you plan on 2 nice sit down restaraunts a day and you enjoy good food...I would definitely recommend this plan.

Just a couple of tips...don't use the wishes for breakfast...you won't get your money's worth.

Some restaraunts that we got way more than our money's worth are
Cali Grill
Wolfgang Puck's upstairs
Le Cellier
Fulton's
Rainforest Cafe....if you tell them you are on the plan they will suggest adding a steak or crab or lobster to your entree.

Check out the restaraunt menu's and prices before you go to determine if where you are eating will be worth it.

Our average lunches and dinner for 2 w/o alcohol were between $100- 130 dollars.
