Hello!

Quick question.

If I have a $200 deposit down on a vacation package using Disney's site, would I be able to switch resorts or dates and still have the deposit count towards the new resort/date? And what if I've already made some payments towards the remaining amount, would that also carry over to the new resort/date?

TIA! :)

Yes, if you are only changing the resort or dates but keeping it a package, the deposit and any money paid toward the reservation will still apply. You will also keep the same confirmation number. The only time money has to be refunded and a new deposit paid is if you go from a package to a room only or room only to a package as money cannot be transferred between the two types of reservations. HTH :).

That is great news! Thanks so much!! :goodvibes

Yup, Mickeynut1 is right! It is pretty simple, good thing because a lot of people to switch. My reservation for Sept has been switched from POFQ to POR and back to POFQ and it immediately gets changed and the deposit is tacked on no matter what. :)

Absolutely! I have switched my most recent reservation more times than I care to admit,:rolleyes1 which has resulted in refunds, additional payments, splitting payments....you name it, it's been done...Disney makes it too easy. :lmao:

Didn't know you could do that! That is awesome! I believe I'll make my reservation today then and change the length/dates in case Free Dining isn't offered for that particular starting date. Would that work? :listen:

A very good thing! We usually book with Disney before flights become available for our dates. Once flights become available, I usually need to change dates to get better/cheaper flights.:)

Yes, that would work :). Just book the maximum number of nights you think you're going to need as it's easier to take nights away than to add nights later on ;).

Will do! Our max number of nights is 14 (the max allowed on a single disney package!) from Jan 22nd to Feb 5th! :thumbsup2
