Package delivery to resort hotels?

We are staying onsite at RPH for the first time in a couple of weeks. I am wondering if you make purchases in the park at shops or at City Walk...will they deliver them to your hotel? I know when you stay onsite at Disney they do and wondered about US/IOA. I tried to search the forums but obviously didn't type in the correct stuff to make this info appear.

So if I buy something on Wednesday it will be there on Thursday? Any idea what time? I don't like it as much anymore.
 
Can't remember but I know it was there when we got back from the parks at noon.
 
I really liked it. Package was on our bed the next day. Not having to carry the kids' chocolate frogs in late August heat all day after early entry to Potterland, or having to run back to our Portofino room to drop off the frogs after early morning purchase was actually appreciated.
 
if you want to pick up your purchases on the day you bought them in the park, use the service that sends the items to the front of the park.

tell the TM at the shop you want the packages held for you until you leave the park.
you can not use this free service if the park is closing within the hour.


you do have to wait an hour once you set this up before you can pick it up.
runners go to each store/shop to pick up the merch and deliver it up front.



hotel guests and day guests can use that service.


if you don't need the items right away, and a hotel guest, you will have them delivered to your room the next day.

Purchases are delivered to your room and not the hotel front desk? So the delivery staff have access to your room?

We have a little one that returns to the hotel for naps, I hope they knock before entering. What if we have the
"Do not disturb" up? Do they take purchases to the front desk?

i love that they deliver to my room!
it saves me time from having to stand in the lobby counter line to retrieve them.

when you are in your room, put the top lock on.
no one can enter without knocking.

i have been in my room when packages were being delivered and they did knock before entering.
(didn't have the top lock on that time)

if you shop on a monday and request hotel room delivery, they will be delivered to your room on tuesday.

you can always pick up your purchases at the end of the day in the front merch store if you don't want them delivered to your room, and you can have them that evening.

Guess we'll have to use the front merch store service on our last day since we leave very early in the morning on checkout day. Don't want to leave without our purchases! :sad:

Thanks everyone for this info. I wish I would have known you could do this when we went to IoA in 2010. No one offered to send the packages to the front. I bought...................ahem.................over $500 worth of stuff in about 30 minutes in the WWoHP and shlepped it all up through the park with me like a Sherpa climbing up Everest. Had I known you could do this, I would have saved myself a lot of hassle.

If you have that sign up, they won't do anything. They take it back and call your room to leave a message. We forgot, and left the sign up, and came back to no packages. Called the number they left, and they had the bags up to us in something like 5 minutes, handed them over and raced away (didn't even stick around for a tip!).
