We are looking into planning our first on site stay at Disney near the end of March. I have noticed that in the dream maker package you get the park hopper pass that is good from check in to check out. Does this mean that if I wanted to, I could go to 3 different park every day I am there?

Actually, you can go to four parks, plus all the water parks, Disney Quest and Pleasure Island. For many people, it's NOT a good deal, though, because you are paying for all of it, all day, both the day you arrive and the day your leave. You can still go to all four major parks with a regular Park Hopper Plus and an Annual Pass, too.

We have always done the packages with the ultimate parkhopper passes. We think they are great. We don't spend much time at the resorts so most of our time is going park to park.
We also enjoy the fact Pleasure Island is included. It doesn't seem like a waste if we want to head over to PI for just an hour or 2. I believe regular admission is around $20. If we were going to pay $20 to get in PI we'd feel obligated to only do it one or 2 nights and spend the whole night there.
If you normally spend 1 or 2 days just hanging out at the resort, I would say the ultimate hopper isn't worth it, but if you are commandos like us, I think you'll really save some money this way.

I believe we would go everyday but maybe one. Since we would be there for 9 days we may go check out Universal again. We are going for President's week and staying off site. We only intend to visit Disney for 2 days. We are currently making plans to come back for 9 days beginning March 20th. I know an ap would of been my best bet. I just can't afford it before the 2/03 trip.

If you plan on going to Universal for more than one day, check out the online site. I think the best deal is a 5 day pass for Universal and it is around $90. It includes Universal, IOA and Citywalk. I just wanted to let you know, because my bf and I did Universal last yr. We purchased the tickets at the gate and it was over $100 for each of us for both parks for one day.
