We have always taken our own portacot away with us but it would be nice to save the luggage allowance. Does anyone know what sort they are? Is there a charge for them? Would you use them?

They are just a standard play yard, like the Graco Pack 'n' Play (I don't know if it's actually Graco brand, but it's exactly the same). There is no charge for it, but you should request it on your reservation, to help ensure they will have one available when you arrive. In our experience, it was clean and well-maintained.

We've used it once when my son was 6 months old, and we will request one again for when we travel in February with a 9 month old. Not Disney, but my son still sleeps in his when we travel to the cottage in the summer, as recently as this past summer when he was 2 years old.

We brought our own PnP sheet just in case, but housekeeping brought us a couple Mickey sheets with the PnP, so we didn't need to bring our own.

It was quite a few years ago, but we used one of their PnP's for DD #1. It was a standard size, Graco if I remember correctly. No charge. We did make sure to request it in advance just in case.

I was glad that I brought my own sheets. They didn't have PnP sheets, they just gave us a regular twin sheet to use and that's not safe since it can come untucked and wrap around your child.

Do these just have that hard surface they claim is a mattress or do they include one of the foam mattresses that you can buy to make the pack and play's more comfortable? We had to buy one of those mattresses for our son since we had him in the pack and play for the first couple months before we moved him into his own room in the crib.

It's the standard mattress that comes with Pack n plays. DS was 13 months when we went. He did fine with it for a 6 night stay. I am a little worried about what we are going to do with him when we go back in May and he will be 24 months old.

We used the pack and play at Art of Animation and Animal Kingdom Lodge about a month ago. I did not have it noted on my reservation either time. It was a Graco and there was no charge. DS was 4 months. I was okay with it for a short trip. We are doing a 15 night trip next and I rented a crib through A Baby's Best Friend. I will bring his sheets from home. I think this will make it feel more like home for him and encourage him to keep his normal sleep routine.
