Hi! My daughter did the CP a year ago and is now a campus rep. She is going to WDW tomorrow and has signed up for a 2 hour PAC shift at AK. She believes that she will get her maingate pass 2 weeks after she works the shift even though it is only a 2 hour shift. Does anyone know if this is true? Thank you for you help!

What happened to the Blue Maingate she had during her CP - that's likely the one they have on file for her, so it's not probable they'll send another unless she reports it lost.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I did not explain it very well. She still has her Blue Maingate. She is wondering if she works the PAC shift she will be able to get people into the park.

As far as I know, being a campus rep entitles you to the 6 days regular CP's get on their maingates. If she hasn't used them all this year so far, she should be fine. I'd tell her to call and ask though.

Unfortunately, she was told you do not get the 6 days as a campus rep. She was told she had to work a shift at WDW.

A main gate pass is good for a calender year, so since your daughter was a CP a year ago her maingate is no longer valid. Disney (this past fall) implemented a new system that forces cast members who have continued work (such as in a campus rep role) to work at least one day (her 2 hour shift) in the NEW calender year for the main gate pass to be activated two weeks after that first day of work in the new calender year. So yes, it should activate 2 weeks after her 2 hour PAC shift!

Thank you, DisneyLonghorn21. That is what she thought, but Disney rules are sometimes confusing. If she works her 2 hour PAC shift her maingate will be valid through the end of 2012 (excluding blackout dates), and she would have to work another shift in 2013 to get one for that calendar year.

I really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to respond to this post. Thank you! :)

I was seasonal up until last year, since 2005! Rules have changed and you are now required to work 120 hours per calendar year to stay an active employee and the hours must be completed prior to receiving your maingate as well. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the hours is the reason I am no longer seasonal!!

I don't think the 120 hours is true for Campus Reps.

I think to get your maingate it's true for everyone! I could be wrong, when I was a campus rep it was still the one shift a year requirement. But, when you are a rep, your work status is still considered seasonal. So I believe the 120 hrs a year would still apply!

I think you're a different type of seasonal. You'll get your maingate and a reduced amount of uses, I think- but you don't have to work 120 hours to get the Campus Rep pass benefits, due to the fact that you're contributing in other ways.

EDIT: confirmed from my college's current campus rep. You only have to work one shift to get the Maingate, which has 6 uses per year.
