PA Turnpike

I'm traveling down that way later this week, any construction going on?? Seems like everytime I travel thru PA they tear up one road or another. Just looking to see how the road are. we will be traveling from 78 to 81 to PA turnpike till exit 143. Any help will be greatly aprreciated!!

Arrghh, I live in PA and I feel your pain. It's amazing that the amount of constant road construction does not seem to equate decent road conditions. Go figure.

Be aware that there is construction on interstate 78 at rt PA 61. I was just through there last night and it took me about 1/2 to go a few miles. But it's hit or miss. Sometimes it's backed up just in one direction and not the other. Of cousrse it's always in the direction you want to travel.

If you're a hunter or other sportsman like fisherman, shooter,boater, etc, check out the Cabellas! It's really something to see. It's right there at the 78/61 junction. You really can't miss it! It's HUGE!

I was on the turnpike about two weeks ago from exit 242 to exit 110(?). There was some construction but I can't remember where. We didn't have any problems with backed up traffic in the area.

Thanks sooooo much for your replies. It looks like there is only one spot, not to bad!!
Charade-I went to Cabela's in Wheeling, WV last year, HUGE store lots of cool stuff. I will be riding with my older aunt so we will probably stop for shopping, crafts, etc. First time I have driven so long at once (7 Hrs + ). Usually, DH and I split driving but he's not going this trip. Just trying to prepare myself!!
