P&PP May 9th? Check in! 30 So Far!

Goodness! How did the Dr's appt go? Any word? My DS3 woke up vomiting 2 hours ago. :( He's back to sleep now and I have to finish my Sr project for school. It's due in a few hours. DH & I drop the kiddos off at my mom's on Thursday!

How are your kids???

How are your kids???

Doing better. Turns out it was just the bag of sour gummy worms daddy let him eat before eating Mexican! lol.:rotfl: Poor thing...
DD had strep throat last week. EVERY kid in her class had it! (Kindergarten)

Hi everyone..we are leaving at 12:15 am Thursday morning from Northern California. We are so excited. This will be are first trip to WDW and to the P&PP. We have dinner res at Tony's at 4:45 pm. I see that there are a couple of others that are eating there too. Hope to see you guys. You will notice us because I have bright blue hair!! :yay:

TWO DAYS!!! :cool1: :cool1:
I won't be posting tomorrow! I don't think so anyway! We should be leaving for my mom's tonight! Dropping off the kiddos!:thumbsup2

We are heading down to the airport (hotel) in 4 hours!! Our flight is at 8am, but we are about 3 hours from the airport so we are staying down there tonight. I am trying like crazy to get the kids to nap, even for just a little bit, but they are jumping off the walls. Can't say that I blame them! :goodvibes For the most part they are feeling good. So by Friday we will be set! I feel like I am forgetting something though. I hate that feeling. I have checked and rechecked everything! ;) Oh well, I guess if I forget it, we don't really need it!

Just about 48 hours until we can check into the party!!! Maybe we will see some of you there!!:cool1:

Hope to see many of you at the party. Have fun, everyone!!! :dance3:

OKAY! I'm back! I saw Marshay! :cool1: I actually went back to talk to her! HEY!:thumbsup2 My DH & I were in commando mode, so I didn't stay long to chat! I recognized her DH's light up LGMH and I recognized him from her GF shoot pics. lol. More later... too tired!

We returned yesterday after 16 days although my luggage hasn't found it's way home yet!

What did everyone think of the PPP? We had a great time although it was so much busier than I expected. The ride lines were great but the character meet and greets took us forever. Captain Jack made our night. He spent so much time with us that I actually kept trying to move us on as there were so many people waiting behind us.

The parade was beautiful and the fireworks were the best I've ever seen! We would definitely do it again. Now, I have to upload 900 pictures so I can share some with you!

lol. I thought the crowd hung around longer than I had hoped. :( But, it was managable. We didn't do any character meets as we ate at LTT. We had the 5:30 ADR, but when we got there at 5, they went ahead and seated us. :thumbsup2
The longest we waited was 10 min for Space at 6:30.

We were first in line to see Jack so if you saw us, I hope you waved. He tried to steal DD's ruby ring. lol He was wonderful :goodvibes

The meet and greet lines were really really long! I wasn't all that enthralled with the parade. The pirate part was neat, but the princess part wasn't all that thrilling IMHO. I'd skip the parade if we go again but then I'm not that much of a parade person. The fireworks, on the other hand, were AMAZING! We'd definitely see those again.

The ride waits were awesome! The treasure was fun for the kids. Overall, we had a great time.

Here's my Princess Minnie and Pirate Princess from the party.

We got home last night- the trip was fun, and the P&PP was great!

We got into the MK right at 4pm- did a lot of Fantasyland and Frontierland/Liberty Square attractions with no wait before the party started. Ate dinner at Pinocchio Haus- DD loves the pepperoni pizza there.

We didn't do any character meet & greets, so didn't notice how long lines were. DD really had fun tracking down all the loot at the treasure spots. We also really enjoyed the Pirate play area in Tomorrowland.

Lines for rides were pretty short all night- we got to ride BTMRR right around 7pm 3 times in a row without getting off the train!! Longest line all night was for Space Mtn at about 11pm- I think we waited around 15 mins. We also had a wait for the Astro Orbiter (around 15 mins). Everything else was a walkon or 5 min wait at most.

The parade was great- the Princess part wasn't the most exciting (we're not big into the Princesses, though), but the Pirates were cool! Loved seeing Tink- she has lots of personality!! Also loved the Agraba palace guards with their sabers. Drizella Tremaine (one of the ugly stepsisters) came up to DD and I and told us we were weird!!:rotfl2: The fireworks were wonderful!!

We stayed to the end of the party- headed out the front gate around 12:30am. I was surprised at how late the crowds stayed around. Really didn't notice a big clearing-out until around 11:30pm.

Didn't see any other DISers out and about (I had my LGMHs on my backpack, and was looking for others), but I did have a Dole Whip for Bawb, and took DD's pic with it in front of "Bwana Bob's". As soon as I get them uploaded, will try to post a pic on the DIS Unplugged thread.

Hope everyone else had a great time!! :thumbsup2

Hello! We got back late saturday night. DD and I both loved the party! DD had a ressie for BBB at 6. They were booked solid and running behind so she actually did not get her hair done until around 6:40. While we were waiting there she was a little sad to be dressed up as Elizabeth Swan while looking at all those princess dresses. However once CMs got exctied over seeing her outfit she was happy to be a pirate (although she did get upset over all the Mulan references. I told her that only a true pirate fan would realize who she was dressed as!)

I did think that there were not as many adults dressed up like there were at the one we went to last August. I got a lot of werid looks walking around dressed up.

Since we had done the party before we skipped the parade (I agree with the pp about the princess part) and skipped the Jack meet and greet (luckily we can see him almost any day in DL).

We did wait in the line to see Pirate Mickey, Pluto, Donald and Goofy. The line was long when we got in it. About five minutes after we got in a CM came by to say that the characters were going on break but wouldbe back in a couple of minutes. I guess most people stopped listening because half of the line left. Even with that our wait was about 25 minutes.

Our ride times were minimal. DD had a great time going around collecting the treasure.

DD did want to see the Capt. Jack tutorial. We waited for the last one of the night (11:25). DD was thrilled when he picked her from the crowd of kids to be a part of the show! She couldn't stop smiling.

On our way out we rode the Magic Carpet ride. My dd was thrilled when she saw the Genie and Abu get on too!

We had a very magical night. The fireworks were awesome!!

Yeah!! I'm sooooo glad you stopped by to say hello!!! I can't believe we had so many folks at the P&PP but I missed everyone. Thanks so much for stopping us -- my DH's light up LGMH was a great way to identify him. I relied on that many times at night!

we loved the P&PP too. I liked the parade -- TINK alone was great to see. She nailed Tink's personality. Fireworks were awesome!

I was disappointed in the lines for the characters...they were really long and I foolishly thought that after 11pm they would get shorter -- nope! The princess line was 75 minutes and the other one was 60 minutes. We just did the rides, which all were really short waits -- the longest was AstroOrbiters at 15 minutes.

DD really loved that we could do Goofy's Barnstormer and Mickey/Minnie's house multiple times. And she was all over the treasure spots!!:thumbsup2

Next time I know to do the characters first and just buy food to eat in line while waiting...it's just hard to keep a 33 m.o. entertained in line...:goodvibes

Marshay:
Did your 33 month old make it to midnight? Our 34 month old made it through the fireworks (which was amazing since her bedtime is normally 7) but crashed in her stroller after that. We tried to wake her to get a picture that we waited an hour in line for but she wouldn't open her eyes. She looked so cute asleep next to the characters. I was shocked at how many 2-3 year olds were still running around at midnight.

We hyped the princess aspect to our daughter before the party but in all honesty she saw/spent more time with the princesses at Epcot the day before and at the Cinderella Gala with no waiting. She woke up in the morning and asked if she was still going to the princess party. We explained that the princess party was seeing all the princesses in the beautiful parade and that was good enough for a two year old. We'll skip all meet and greets next time and only do the rides!

We didn't do any characters, and only one treasure spot. DS didn't even want to go see Captain Jack. We saw the parade and the fireworks which were really cool but spent the majority of the evening riding Buzz... over and over and over. Eventually we just stayed on in between :) We did everything in Tomorrowland that DS wanted to, and HM when we first got there. We didn't get on the bus till 1 am!! It was fun but we were worthless the next day.

oooohhhhh we saw you!! We were not far behind you in the line for Jack. We were the first of the second lot they let in. Hi *waves*. Jack was amazing...played with us for ages...stole my autograph book etc.

We loved every second of the party and thought it was the best bit of the trip. We'd go again in a heartbeat and are praying they keep doing them.

We didn't do too many character queues. Jack was easy cause we were near the front. Pocahontas and John didn't really have a line at all but we did go early. The only LOOOONGGG one we waited in was Mickey/Donald/Goofy/Pluto. That queue wasn't good cause it was so hot but we passed the time and probably ended up waiting about 35mins. After that we'd done the characters we wanted too and didn't notice any other huge lines.

The treasure spots were fun and we had lots of cast members interacting with us because we were in costume. The ride lines were easy for all the things we wanted - we did Philharmagic and Pirates but the lines were short for most things we saw. The parade was good fun and the fireworks were the most amazing thing ever. LOVED them!!!

We had a blast and wanna do another one right now!!! :-)

Oooh we saw that show. Which one was your daughter? A little girl sat right next to me was picked...wasn't you was it?

We left MK around 11:30pm I think...DD stayed awake the whole time but when we went to get photopass pics at the end she wouldn't get out of her stroller...said she wanted to go to sleep but she couldn't get herself comfortable in the stroller.

Yes, there were many small kids still there after we left...I just wasn't sure how crowded the "exit" would be so we left a bit early.

It's interesting to hear everyone's thoughts on the character meets...I'm still bummed we missed them all but still thought P&PP was great!
