There is a difference between pessimism and accepting reality. And, I'm willing to raise the stakes and throw in a turkey leg to (stir) the pot.

I don't understand why you are acting like a two year old. Or why you are starting problems on purpose. As I said if it bothers you this much don't come back to this thread. I don't know why it bothers you to the point where you insist on getting it closed down. I have no other choice but to ignore you and I hope others do to so the thread doesn't get closed down. From now on don't expect any more responses from me. I will just report what I am told from the phone calls and wait to see if Disney posts anything on their website saying yes or no to the parties.

I would think with the change in Park Times it looks like the they have been cancelled possibly in later spring.

But, I still have the turkey leg on the table that says the parties aren't happening, in addition to my two Mickeybars and a Dole Whip, if anyone wants to take me up on it.

I'm afraid I don't have much better news to report -- the last information my sources at Disney got was the parties were originally planned but in light of the economy they will not be happening January thru June 2009.

They did not rule out a brief return in August perhaps ... but I wouldn't hold your breath.

I have come to accept that there will be no P&P party for us (was looking forward to an April 1st one) and have gone on with my planning. Now I look forward to maybe a BB for fall and will try for MNSSHP!!!

I would be upset as well. I bought Pal Mickey (don't get me stared on his fate) a pirate costume from build a bear and was planning on altering it to fit by my April trip. It would be sad (and a waste of my 12 bucks!) if he never gets to wear it.

Im going to throw myself into the fire pit against all of you who know way more about this than myself. But I will tell you as I raise my right hand up and swear to tell the truth ... that I personally spoke to one of those Disney Reps on 407-w-disney and went through the prompts and such that got me to a live person... well, I spoke to a girl named California who was very pleasant and helpful... I told her I need to book a nurse to travel with us due to cancer and illness... I needed to know if there would be any in Jan so that I would know whether or not to go at this time and if there was then I needed as much advance notice to book the travel RN. She put me on hold and came back telling me none in Jan, that they do start in Feb ... honeslty, she read me dates but I blanked out after hearing none in Jan which was what i was ohh so hoping for! I do remember that there were a lot in May (if this helps anyone). I think I heard 2 dates in Feb more in March more in April and I remember thinking "damn that is a lot" for May. I've got no reason to lie, twist, shake up or shake down this group. This is honestly what I was told.

Well I am here watching in the background with fingers crossed, hoping the one on March 12th comes back (now they show an 8:00 closing time, and before it was 7:00). But as sure as they changed it to 8 they could change it back to 7 if they decide to have them.

I know it isn't looking good right now, but maybe with some faith, trust and pixie dust it will happen!

Stitchfans, I appreciate all you are doing. Thank you for all of your posts and your phone calls. And I agree with your post above. I already chose to use the feature.

I hope the mods understand that this is to be a positive thread where we can chat about it until we hear the definitive word from Disney and do not elect to shut it down due to some negativity from those who could care less.

There is a big possibility it will not happen, but until Disney says so, we can still pretend.

Has anyone posted that is doing the Princess Half Marathon in March? They advertising that if you do the Half Marathon you get a small discount and the after party (where they hand out the rewards and such) is at the Pirates and Princess Party that night...

I didn't read the whole thread, but thought I would mention it. We are doing the Half, but I'm not sure I get all the hype about the P&P party. Could someone tell me if it's worth it for two grown adults?

Yeah... I wouldn't think they would entice all these runners to come do the half Marathon with the hopes of attending the P&P party then to only cancel it. I guess only time will tell.

Now, I just need to decide if I should do the P&P as well...

Can anyone tell me what is special about it? I assume the rides and stuff are all open, what else cool happens? Thanks!

Don't know if this helps any or not, but I called to book a spur of the moment trip for March and the CM told me that there was a P&P party scheduled for when we would be there (we arrive March 11 and the party was supposed to be for March 12). She told me that the parties are supposed to begin on Feb 20? don't know how that compares to what others have read/heard as I have just today even started thinking we would go in March. I asked when the tickets would be on sale and she said she wasn't sure... they were supposed to be on sale last week but there was a problem so she didn't know. I guess that information doesn't really help much.. but she mentioned it to me... I did not ask about the party. So maybe there is still a small glimmer of hope for them. We would love to go to one... but I am not going to get my hopes up it either.

I have already purchased tickets for the P&PP the night of the half marathon. It was one of the registration options. This really sucks!!!
