P.O.T.C. On Stranger Rides! The Missing Chapter,,Final Thoughts,, Preview Thoughts.

wouldn't that be funny if, years fromnow, you went to a retro car show, and they had a "nebo and smidgy" model santa fe?

ok, that's a stretch.. but they should at least have a nebo and smidgy sunny d!! :rotfl2:

What if they had a Santa Fe with a bunch of empty Sunny D's!

Almost got run off the road by a red Santa Fe today. Are you guys taking a surprise trip to Disneyland??

Disneyland? what state are you in again? I thought you were out east.

I found a completely unopened script of hyrocodone from 2010. Do you think they are still good?

1. ROAD TRIP!,,, 2. Yes,,,, 3. How could you?

On another note, Nebo, you have inspired me to write, and take drugs but let's talk about the writing. I won't publish it but I decided to write about the trip I took in Jan. Just kind of wondering if I can be funny. I'm having fun so that's cool. Thanks.

When you say Publish, do you mean here on the Dis? Go for it.

As I was reading about your bad back I wanted to tell you to get an I-pad but 1) they weren't out yet and B) the report is closed but a bad back will never put you out of Discommision again.

You have no idea what a "darling' that little Jimmy was, did he molest the poor teenage girl yet?

Do you guys here that? Yep, it's the Hallelujah Chorus! It RAINED here today!!! It didn't rain alot, but anything that helps with the amount of pollen we have is a blessing. We are supposed to get rain tomorrow night and Saturday, 60% chance each day. I mean really, I thought the kids and I might be able to build a pollenman and pollen angels yesterday afternoon! ;)

Okay, the pollenman/pollen angel is a slight exaggeration. No kidding, I was listening to the radio today on the way to work and the DJs were talking about the huge "pollen algae" that is slowly making its way north eastward. Watch out my friends, if you are part of the "east" you will be consumed! My eyes are almost as scary as Nebo's electric red eye after that shotintheeye. :sad2:

Good golly miss molly Nebo! I had to google the "Allium Gigantium". That is one huge flower/plant! Yes, I can certainly agree that those would catch some attention. I just might have to try them. The kids would love them!! Thanks for the idea.

You know, when you didn't post a few days back, I kid you not, I thought "Nebo must have had an eye appointment". Did it go okay?

Now, I'm going to continue to go back to singing "Pirates of the Caribbean". DD has a kazoo that she got as a gift a while back and she loves to blow that kazoo and make us guess the mystery Disney song. You want to know the sad part? I know them all, even though, well they sound like an almost four year old is humming/shouting them.

Later gators! ;)

Pollen angels,,,, very good, I like that, and I did make an emergency appointment,,, walked out of the house one morning and couldn't see crap,,(think Johnny 5 from Short Circuit, "See crap? Where see crap?"), but after tthy got me in they couldn't find any major changes to the retina, I felt stupid like the boy who cried wolf,,,,, but something is wrong,,, I didn't make it up just so I could go and sit in their lovely office some more.

The ALlium Gigantium aren't cheap though,,,and mine only lasted 2 years, but it may be because it get's pretty cold here compared to you, they may last longer by you.

I always think of Nebo and Smidgy when I see the old body style Santa Fe ---doesn't even have to be burgandy.

What will we do if they ever get a different car? :confused3 :scared1:

I don't think you have to worry about us getting a new car anytime soon.

wouldn't that be funny if, years fromnow, you went to a retro car show, and they had a "nebo and smidgy" model santa fe?

ok, that's a stretch.. but they should at least have a nebo and smidgy sunny d!! :rotfl2:

'79 Buick Estate Wagon, one trip in '92, Cruise control stopped working 60 miles into the trip,,, interior headliner then wouldn't stay up as the factory glue quit working and we tried to hold it up with thumbtacks.
one trip

'86 Dodge Caravan, one trip in '94, barely had enough power to reach the summit on many of the mountains in the Smokies,,,, had to go as fast as I could on the way down before we started to climb again,,, sometimes we were only going about 35 miles an hour by the time we crested at the top.
one trip

'00 Hyundai Tiburon, one trip down in '02, little tiny hatchback car somehow fit ALL of Smidgy's stuff for an entire WEEK on our first trip back alone. Yes, big cooler and all. Wow, drove all the way down for just 3 nights at AKL and 4 nights at Movies. Somebody put a dent in the back/side while parked at Movies.
one trip

'03 Hyundai Santa Fe, '03, '05, '06, '07, '07, '07, '08, '09, '09, '10, '10, '11,
and the Santa Fe is just warming up! Boy that '04 opening when we went to Niagara ruins it all.

Winkers, I have a confession: I have been lurking on your reports for years (blush). I may have posted once or twice, but certainly not much. Looking forward to your new report (yes, Im on the PTR)
I'm glad you're there...you should post! It's nice to know who my lurky loo's are.

Wait, are you still taking pictures of your MIL ?
And is she still living in your basement?
hmmm
yes...and yes....and we are both still alive.
If you ever want to take a trip to the north west let me know....we can stash you and smidgy down there too.
Heck...I might even let you stay upstairs on the boys bunk beds.

What if they had a Santa Fe with a bunch of empty Sunny D's!

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Nebo...I saw a commercial yesterday that made me think of you.
A mom tells her son to wipe his nose, so he grabs the shirt on the guy next to him and blows his nose. It reminded me of you and you're little booger guy.

I'm in Arizona, just a slight detour to Disneyland. I don't have a basement like Winkers but I'm sure we can find a corner somewhere for you and Smidgy .

How could I what, not open them or tell you about them??

Man, I'm a day late and four trip reports short!

Ok, ok I give, UNCLE!!! can someone please school me on how to post a photo from photobucket?? And if I dangled a participle, grammar be damned!

Hmmm, ok Copper,,, you got me,,, wakey wakey,,,,, thats a UtahMama tag line that I took for face value,,, is there more to it than just that?

Backstage Gal, after days of laziness, I finally looked it up. It's the Wolf and Grizzly Discovery Center.

Ah yes, the Wolf and the Grizzly, in the Discovery Center with the Candlabra,,,,,, Right? DID I WIN?

Thanks, Sandy Mouse. Hubby is off next week for his annual birthday week vacation. (65th :faint:, where did the years go?). But anyway, he will be doing a lot of planning next week, so this comes in handy.

Nebo, I'm glad you went in to get your eye checked. Stepping outside and seeing nothing is never a good thing. I know you will keep a "close eye" on it.

So we have had rain for the past two days! Hurray!! ;)

I am going to get some of the Allium Gigantium. You are right, they are not cheap, but boy for shock value they really deliver. The kids will love them! I will have to let you know in future TRs how they hold up.

DS's team won their soccer game again today. It was a close 2-1 and DS was goalie for a quarter. I always sweat when he's goalie but he had two really great saves. Woo-hoo!!! :thumbsup2

Have you and Smidgy ever been to a Star Wars Weekend?

Ah yes, the Wolf and the Grizzly, in the Discovery Center with the Candlabra,,,,,, Right? DID I WIN?

Oh, Nebo, Nebo, Nebo... the wolf and the grizzly don't need a candlabra to kill you and, in fact, would be embarrassed at the suggestion.

Inspiration! That's a great idea for a new Disney movie! A wolf and a grizzly, best buddies since cub-hood, need candlabras to kill for food, but they're really really embarrassed about it.
What, too bloody?

Oh, Nebo, Nebo, Nebo... the wolf and the grizzly don't need a candlabra to kill you and, in fact, would be embarrassed at the suggestion.

There are certain rules that must be followed.
Never step between a mother grizzly and her cub.
Never try to take food from a wolf.
Never mock a grizzly or a wolf and embarrass them.

All the above are life limiting choices.

True story, did anyone read about the guy who went to live with bears during the summer? He did live with them for a while, then he stopped. Living that is. Here's the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timothy_Treadwell

Re Utahmama's saying, I don't think she has a copywrite on it. I was just readin an old TR and I thought " hey, I have a dirty towel with that saying on it" so I quickly snapped a picture , and not so quickly posted it. Thought you might get a chuckle at the memory.

Pkondz!!! ;)

I'm so glad you checked in. I've missed your witticisms!

And yes, your commentary on bears is a very wise one. Mr. Treadwell did take his appreciation and love of bears a tad to the extreme.

I like bears in the context that I envision them roaming in their natural habitat, in a Discovery/Animal Planet film, or in a zoo. I happen to have a healthy respect for God's creations.

I'll tell you, we have a great zoo in Columbia, SC. The zoo has two grizzlies, Butch and Sundance. Real original names, right? We have a family zoo membership and during the spring and summer they have member's night out.

Two years ago, in one night out, they allowed people to tour the backstage holding area for the grizzlies(think really large pens). There were two well defined lines that we were told to remain behind and for really good reason. THE PAWS/CLAWS ON THE GRIZZLIES WERE UNREAL IN SIZE!!!! I was really scared that the kids were even remotely close to those razor sharp talons. The only thing I can think to compare them to is the toy Wolverine(X-Men) hand that was popular for boys a few years back. BUT THESE CLAWS WERE REAL!!!!:scared1:

Oh, I've been here all along. I'm a firm believer in the saying, "If you've got nothing good to say, don't say anything at all." So I apply a modified, "If you've got nothing to say... and it's not your TR..."

... so anyway, I've completely disregarded my own advice and here I am. :lmao:

We have a grizzly in our zoo too. (zoo too? woo hoo!) And I hear you about the claws!

Ever notice that every year, oh around December 25th or so, we tell our kids that in the middle of the night, a large male stranger wearing fur (did he get that himself? Hmmmm?), will somehow, even though all the doors and windows are locked, manage to get in the house when everyone is asleep. His name?

Mr. Claws!!!!!! :scared1:

Quick! Someone find the definition of tangent! As in going off on one...

OUCH!

"If someone goes off on a tangent, they change the subject completely in the middle of a conversation or talk."

Wish I could have found a funnier definition, but nope, so there you go.

Yeah, I completely get where you're coming from. DS asked me this past Christmas how exactly, yep he used the word exactly, Santa came into our house as we have no chimney and we have an alarm. Ahem, you can probably guess my answer right? It was the old standby that Santa is magic. Somehow I can rationalize Santa a little better than I can the Easter Bunny. I haven't come up with a good story for the Easter Bunny yet, so we glance over him/it. Is he a giant bunny? Is he a man dressed as a giant bunny? :confused3

Quick! Someone find the definition of tangent! As in going off on one...

Aw, this is a Nebo TR, as in I'm not sure there can be a tangent. It all seems relative in some strange way, you know? :rolleyes1

Speaking of tangents....or maybe just way off topic?

I got all of the ADR's I wanted - even Le Cellier for lunch! :cool1: Never been there.

Can't wait for Nebo's review of CSR when he gets back.
