Ok, if you are flying, then that's acceptable, but I'm not driving down for less than a 7 nighter. By the way, In My Humble Opinion, the best room to ask for at FQ is building 6, second floor and ask for facing the street. We have stayed there twice now, and actually ended up ONE stinkin room away from each other, with the best being the corner room. It is just far enough away from the food court and pool to make a nice little walk, it's a great view facing the inner street, but go around a corner and now you have a river view, and the hores and buggy route comes down the main river pathway and makes an inner turn at Building 6, so is will clop, clop, clop right below you on the street going by.

Last time we stayed there we were in building 5 facing the courtyard. It was really nice, you could see the river from there as well. It's a beautiful resort!

I have to admit that I snuck over the bridge and the fence to check it out early one morning. I am an early riser and was up and ready super early before my Cape May breakfast ADR so I walked over and finagled my way past the gate. I pretty much walked right up to the front area and peeked into whatever section was in front of me. At that point people started to work in my general area and I was asked, politely to leave, especially since I didn't have a hard hat on.

Have to admit that I was kind of embarrased but I played stupid (which I'm a master of!!) and slinked away.

It was totally worth it!

Just recently back from the "I spy Nebo's little eye, guy."
No new injections, no new bleeding or leaking in the retina, not much they can do now, come back in 3 months or unless something changes. but I'm still dialated to the max.
But man, these zinc and iron and magnesium or what ever metals eye pills are starting to get to me,,,, I can't even walk thru the kitchen without the fridge door swingin' open as I go by, then all the magnets come after me like the flying keys at the end of Sorceror's Stone.

For Starring Rolls...I'm pretty sure if you're on the dining plan you get to pick one of their fabulous cupcakes as a dessert. The CS meal is probably enough to share. It is on my list for our DHS day for lunch. Of course my DH wants sushi so I will be getting the ham sandwich all to myself!

I have a great visual of the *ahem* "nice lady" stepping right into the half eaten food on her dirty tray then falling flat on her face, all this while several families with small children are walking down the hall and before the parents can hush them the children all point and laugh. Works for me! I never said I was nice!

Barb, all those things jumping up and down remind me of love bugs landing on Smidgy's back.

Right, they are still opening up the areas at different times, the normal rooms in the Mermaid section they say won't be opened until the end of the yeaf.

2 and 5 are good too, I just don't like to be TOO close to everything which those buildings are, where you don't get to enjoy hardly any walking around the resort. In bldng 6 you can walk right down the cozy cobblestone street to the pool and food court and bus stops, or you can walk along the river to the pool and marina nad boat dock.

Did I just say "cozy" in referring to a streetmosphere? Great, what's next, TEE HEE?

i would have done the exact same thing, and been embarrased just like you,,,, kinda hard to
say that you accidentally climbed up this wall and fell over into this resort. Bioy, the pics I've seen seem funny looking without having exterior corridors. Except for Mermaid.

Back in December we booked a bounceback for August. We will be in the World beginning on August 4th as well. I know that will be precious family time for you guys, but it would be terrific if we could meet you guys. I believe DS and Jackson are the same age so that might be a neat meet up.

I was really hoping that your August dates might overlap with ours. I did check and hopefully the dreaded Brazilian tour groups will be gone by then. I think they leave by the end of July. I need to figure out a tentative plan for what park we will be in each day soon.

I completely agree that WL is a little noisy, but we always bring a small white noise machine for DD's, aww let's face it, all of our nap time. The noise machine has always worked like a charm.

I'm glad your eye appointment was not filled with shotsintheeye! The dilation always lingers with me for far longer than my eye doctor always says it will. I usually get a pounding headache after my eyes are dilated and I basically have to held down for the drops to get in my eyes. I defensively blink like crazy!

I am so excited that we might possibly get to meet you guys in person!

All 7 of our days will be at Pop, but it's too early to make a daily schedule,,,and for once i'm taking a back seat in the scheduling, only giving info as they want or need but it doesn't matter any more really to us,,,,, we've seen it all and just want to see our family members have fun.

Well, yeah, I've cried Wolf before, but it's a whole bunch easier if I get a little down time in between trips. Actually, what the problem is,,, is the August trip will run smack into a May trip report, adn the Auggie trip has the potential for more, "varied crap from all the other reports",,,, so maybe we can just touch on some highlights before the August report,,,and I forgot, will that put us in range of a Ponzi pre trip report?

Uh-oh, you used the word disgusting, and not just disgusting, but DISGUSTING! Lucky for me I was eating a Russell Stover's cashew cluster as I was reading the last few posts. Ha, who am I kidding? I ate three of them and they were yummy. I usually wait until the kiddos are out for the night to break out my stash of chocolate!

Our plan is to stay at the really noisy, just discussed WL. DS thinks of it as the lincoln log hotel. We will be there eight days. I'm debating a split stay so I can almost literally jump to Epcot from a room at the BC, but I am still undecided. I really like Epcot, Illuminations is probably my favorite fireworks event so there is a certain draw to being close for a few days.

I think it's great that you and Smidgy are just going to enjoy yourselves, let Jackson and his parents take the lead. Having seen and done everything, now you get to see it through Jackson's eyes, which will be unforgettable! I think you are absolutely on the money that the August TR will be terrific, if only because the Jackson perspective will be so entertaining.

I try to at least have a tentative idea of the park plan for the trip early on, especially in the summer heat, so I can take advantage of the evening hours in the parks. We experience humid, hot weather here, but World Showcase in the summer with all the concrete is just another level of hot.

I also promise that I will tell you my real name way in advance of any possible meet. I can imagine you yelling "Buzz" across a sea of people. And you would so do it, most definitely! Yeah, that could be inappropriate for so many reasons!!!

If any of you remember, way, way, way,,,, (inhale) way, way, way, back when this report was barely off the ground, and i may have mentioned it in the pre report part,,, I had a bad problem with a tooth of mine,,,, I wanted it pullled, but dentist couldn't and referreed me to an oral sturgeon.
It ws too close to the trip though, and I counted on vikes to get me through.....

In twenty minutes I FINALLLY go and see this guy for the fidrst time, hopefullly he will make it go away without having to knock me out since I'm on my own totday.

But all kiddint aside,,, there's a chance I may not survive this, it has me very concerned,,,,, so, if I don't,,,, please tell Smidgy that in my emails is an email titled 32323232,,,which is 90% of my next chapter,, 32, and I hate to have this die in my mailbox without getting posted.

So, if it all goes ok,, I will post that later on tonight,,, and epending how it goes,,,, there may be a "side" story coming up about how it went.
