P.O.T.C. On Stranger Rides! The Missing Chapter,,Final Thoughts,, Preview Thoughts.

Pkondz, you sir are quite talented!! :worship:
The most disturbing part of the picture for me is not Nebo's "shiny hiney", but it's the pose of his hand on his face. It's so coquettish, a word that I never thought I would use to describe Nebo! :lmao:

Oh and Nebo on "The Lord of the Flies" thing....the word feral made me think of feral pigs which wasn't too far from Piggy which made me think of Ralph, Jack and his murdering band and the pig head. I love to read and I read quite a bit, but that book is a thought provoking commentary on mankind. Deep stuff.

buzz, you @#%*! (tee hee) I got to that last post, and you said what I was going to say...:

the creepiest thing about that picture is the "fay" hand on the face!!!!!!

reminds me of something Steve's sister Lynn used to say "It gives me the Yuddies"

I was thinking the exact same thing about the hand, that was the creepy part.
By the way, I also found Lord of the Flies to be unsettling, it meade me wonder, really, how I would have acted there.

This thread gave me many laughs tonight, and I really needed them. Thanks for the humor, Yuddies or not.
Really praying I don't have a Nebo nightmare tonight.

Wanna know what could be a real nightmare?
I'm thinking of going as the little Coppertone Girl for Halloween!

I was at the library last night and I swore I saw a headline in USA Today. It was something like:

"1,000,000 GET SHOT FOR NEW MORTGAGE"

I'll keep my old mortgage, thanks.

When do we get a new chapter? I'm heading to POFQ next week so I need my fix.

that's good, and we may get a new chapter up later on tonight. If not, tomorrow for sure.

So thanks all for all the kind words. :goodvibes

Although I was a little surprised that nobody noticed the sea lion. :rolleyes1

I saw it but it was my duty to ignore it, just like I did the clouds.

So long, Caribbean Beach, we hardly knew ye.

Smidgy is right, that's the problem with short split stays, you end up suffering the
"death of departure" many times in one trip.
Ok, but is there a flip side?

Yes.

You get to experience the joy and excitement of checking in, also, more than just once, and yes, checking in is always exciting.

It's the unknown, the X- Factor, you never know what your are going to get!

But it doesn't mean I want to leave though!

By 8 that morning, we still hadn't gotten an eviction notice.

Smidgy called on it:

I listened to the conversation from my end:

"Hello, my husband is very upset and wan'ts to know why we haven't gotten an eviction notice, we check out today."

"Uh huh, Oh, I see, yes, ok, no, that makes sense, that's good news, I'll tell my hubby, thank you, good bye."

As that went on, it was sounding better and better;

By then I was jumping out of my shoes:
"What, are they comping us the room cuz the pool was closed that one morning? Or because the Yellow Shirt was so loud, or because....."

"Will you stop? "
I stopped.

"They didn't send us up a new bill because nothing has changed, we didn't charge anything on the room card."

"Oh."

The imagination giveth, Smidgy taketh away.

This time we didn't call for help with the buggage, we now had gravity on our side and I planned on using it so we did it ourselves.
Again though, man, feels like we just checked in. Didn't we just check in? Got a corner room, how can that be 3 days ago?

Friday, September 9th

As we pull away from our beloved CBR, now I'm getting a bit excited, we have never stayed on a Monorail Resort before, and when it comes to renting points, BLT is about the most expensive resort there is.
Ok, I can do this, I can act like a rich snob, really.

( Poor Slob, Rich Snob

Sounds like it should be a TV miniseries starring Richard Chamberlain.)

Right, hey moron, you're exhaust went out, rembember?
That'll make a great first impression, providing the guard house and bellhops and concierge are all big Nascar members.

Now, this drive is new for us.
We drive a lot more now on our own than we used to, but around the Magic Kingdom is not on our route list that we like to drive to. What's the point? You can't park at MK anyway so you still have to take another form of transportation so this route for us is kind of new.

Smidgy has it in her head that it is going to be virtually impossible to find the Contemporary on our own, and it looks like it.

She's got the Atlas opened on her lap, some local maps also open, the maps that came with our CBR welcome package are also open on her lap. The Farmer's Almanac, satellite photos of the area, topographical charts, geological surveys, written quotes and directions from Ponce De Leon himself,
"Go to the second light and make a left," and Balboa's phone number on speed dial.

They made us stop at the Magic Kingdom toll plaza anyway so I asked him, he told us to follow the green line.

Okay!
I pulled away, I looked, we both said at once, "What green line?"

There was a blue line, you think that's it? Maybe he's colorblind?

We went under the water bridge, I kept bearing to the right and we lucked into pulling up at the Contemporary gaurd house.
(every time you go to the Magic Kingdom you pass under a bridge that isn't railroad tracks or a road, but contains water instead. It's the causeway that connects 7 Seas lagoon with Bay Lake and many of the big ferry boats cross it.)

Pulling up to the guardhouse I coasted to save everyone's ears, I gave the guy my license again which again he checked on some ledger and we were moving agian.

They say more accidents are caused by people talking on cell phones, or reading texts, or writing texts, or fiddling with their I Pad, I Pod, or I Pud.
You'll never catch me doing anything stupid like that.

I groped around behind me and found the camera, I just had to take a picture from back here where we are now, I can't believe we are finally, after all these years of coming, going to stay at a Monorail Resort!

051.jpg

Once again I tried to coast to a stop in front but a guy in a uniform was on us in a second asking us our name, I just said Nebo,. He then told us to move the car back a bit and park over there, up against the wall. (all you guys out there, feel free to mentally add in what normally comes after "up against the wall."):lmao:

We hadn't even gotten the doors closed when a new guy comes up to us in a nice suit and tie;
"Steve and Diane?"
Wow, they are good!
"Yes," I said, "I'm Steve."
Diane groaned.

He then led us inside to another guy with a suit and tie standing behind a counter. There was not waiting in line, waiting for the next available teller, HE was waiting for us!

Well, at least so it appeared.

Suit number one left and now we are dealing with a very friendly check-er-in-er guy, but he was no Brian.

He told us our room is ready, fourth floor, center, facing the lake.

Sounds great, doesn't it?

We rejected it and asked him what else he had.

We had come over here and snuck in last December, so we had a pretty good idea of the layout.
BLT is a horseshoe shape, facing the lake.
So, the center is as far from the lake as you can get, plus the fourth floor in my mind wasn't going to be high enough to clear all the stuff in between the room and the lake.

He said he'll also have a room on the 15th floor out on the western wing but it's not ready yet.

At first Smidgy was skeptical of it, but I thought it would be just one of the best you could get, so I talked her into accepting it.

We were all checked in, everything went as smooth as can be, even our Keys to the World card says DVC Member on them, and Smidgy had to go and open a can of worms.

She asked the guy if the monorail is shutting down tonight and tomorrow at 8 since the Magic Kingdom closes both nights at 7 for Night of Joy.

This has been a much debated topic for the last few months here on the Dis ever since Disney said they are shutting down the monorails an hour after official closing.
( If Epcot closes at nine, and you stay till midnight for EMH you can take the monorail back to the TTC, but now you have to transfer to a resort bus, even if yiou are staying at the Polly or GF of CR.

But this guy didn't know, so he went and got a guy with an even
more expensive suit to come out and play.

He never even heard of it, either.
More people are called.
Soon, there's a bunch of them back there huddling and finally our original guy says, "Yes, the monorail is only going to run one hour past closing time at Mk tonight and tomorrow.

It always amazes us how little the cast members themselves seem to know about day to day operations.

And you know what?

I don't believe them! Not this time.
Not for a hard ticketed event, you can't just unplug a major transportation option on them without having a major RIOT!

We grab our stuff and turn away, "Remember, we'll call you when your room is ready."

We pulled up over at the Tower and started getting out, once again, all we need for the pool.

Then I stopped.
I just stood there.

"What are you doing, are you ok?"

"I'm fine", I told her, "There's no point in gathering all our nuts for the winter when that phone is going to ring any second to inform us our room is ready." And I looked at her purse.

Would you believe it, with me, and then her, staring at the purse that contains the cell phone,,,,,,,

nothing happened!

I set up the Cosmos for a chance to make a spectacularly grand entrance,,,,,, and it dropped the ball!

I grabbed a few things, what I really needed was already in my pocket and my suit is already on acting as underwear beneath my shorts so I didn't need much.
I grabbed Uncle John and told him we're going for a walk, he didn't mind.

To get into the main lobby at BLT, you HAVE to have a BLT key card, no other way works to get inside. This is a gated, sealed, violators will be violated, prosecutors will be shot, friendly, community.

Unless you do what we did last December and just follow somebody else inside when they open the doors.

I was all set to proudly use my new key card, but nope, no need, big group just going inside, now.

"You will have to use your key card to open the doors that lead out to the gorgeous Bay Lake Tower Pool."
That's what he told us.

I pushed the door open and we went back outside, just now we are on the inside of the horseshoe, the pool is directly ahead.

Just a little bit outside, I paused, and looked back up at the rooms above where we just came out from, specifically, the 4th floor rooms.

Yep, I had no doubt that we made the right decision, trees and stuff would definately block a long range view of anything.

At this moment in time, it's probably almost 11 o'clock now, and I could not believe how crowded the pool already is. Hmm, wonder if it's because the MK closes so early tonight that nobody really wan'ts to waste a day pass on it?

Made sense to me.

Ok, then why the heck aren't they all at Epcot? It's EMH there tonight?
Cuz they are waiting to go when it's EMH?

That's the thing with Disney, you can't help but try to figure everything out there, and when you feel like you are getting close, it just slips away again.

Smidgy brought our new mugs with and went to fill them up, I found some decent loungers WITH a table with umbrella aournd the back, near the slide.

Her sunburn is hurting her a bit so she should sit more at a table. When she came back with the mugs, she really wanted to stretch out in a lunger for awhile, and even got out the glop.

We seldom use glop, especially me, but it can come in handy now and then for us,,, like right now.

I'm not sure what she's got, SPF 30 I think, but I was glad to see she was putting some on herself.
I, to this day, have never understood people that will spread glop all over themselves and then go sit in the sun!
That's like putting on your winter coat to go sit in a sauna. But I was glad to see Smidgy doing it.

"Would you mind putting some on my back and shoulders?"

Who, me?

Great, now I have to get all slimy too, who invented this crap?

Funny how your views change when now it's your hand that has the slime on it.

Ok, need to slip in a couple pics here:

from the pool area;

052.jpg

Here we have the kiddy area shaped in a not so hidden Mickey.

053.jpg

img009.jpg

As we sat there talking, we both agreed on a couple of observations we both made separately.

First thing was, man, was it loud here!
It was totally an acoustic thing going on with the shape of the tower and where the pool was "funneled" into the end of the megaphone. If the Yellow Jackets come here too, we're doomed!

The second thing we noticed didn't apply to only here, it also included CBR, but we have never, ever, no nay never, no more..........sorry
we have never, ever, seen as many foreigners as we have this trip, and I am not talking tour groups.

This observation held true for the duration of the trip, also.
Today at BLT, there are many hispanic families around us, but over the trip, we ran into many Indian or Pakistani's, many English groups and a few Germans. (we always tried to keep them separated, as Mr. Faulty would wish.

OH MAN, I JUST HAD THAT LITTLE LIGHT BULB go off in my head. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it.

It really did seem strange, though, this is supposed to be one of the deadest times of the year, but maybe other countries have time off now.

I went over to find the fill a mug station, it's only open from 11 till 7, otherwise, you have to go over to the Contempo cafe at the Contemporary.

I got back to the tabel with my mug.
"So", she said, "You really think we made the right choice concernig the room?"

"I do." I replied.
"Wait, let me change that answer!" "The last time I said those words it got me in all kinds of trouble!"

"Yes, I think we did make the right choice."

She wasn't amused.

" Well, I'm about to find out because our room is now ready and I have to go SEE!"

I let her go, I was totally content to just sit there with Uncle John, for awhile.

I had about a half hour now by myself and I wanted to just relax and read but once again, I was too antsy, I had to get up and wander and just look around.

The beach area here was not inviting at all, it was very narrow with lots of weeds growing up through the sand all over, it looked more like a marsh, even though there were some chairs in a row set up.

Smidgy came back all excited, "You were right, our view is incredible!"

We are in room 8509, 15th floor, the Top of the World Lounge is on the 16th!

Then we figured it was time to try the slide, it's one of Diseny's larger ones.
She went first, I followed, and just like at Vero Beach, it was brutal.

Like Vero Beach, it too was spiral shaped, and just like that one, it seemed like it was put together in segments, with a rib/seam holding the segments together.
Every time you passed over them, it felt like it was going to cut into my shoulderblades and back.

I guess Diane let out a loud "OWWW", when she hit the water cuz the life guard came over and asked her is she was allright.

And that was the last time we went down that slide,
don't they bother anybody else?

Back at our spot I noticed again that the love bugs are out in full force for this trip, they seem to be most active May and September.
They don't bite, they don't sting, they don't carry malaria, all they want to do is land on you and make you crazy.

But who needs love bugs when you have.....
Yellow Jackets!

I thought it was loud down here before?
HA!

After about 15 minutes of her yelling Smidgy said she's gonna call bell services and meet somebody by the car and get our stuff brought up.

She left.

I looked around at this high rise, state of the art building with it's shiny chrome and aluminum trimwork everywhere, and wondered what was going on over at Old Port Royale tonight. :sad2:

Then I thought of my bathroom bag out in the car and thought maybe I should go and get that myself so I left too.

We all got to the Santa Fe about the same time, I grabbed my bag and that was it because I've still got all the pool stuff I'm carrying.

By the way, the noodles we bought on the July trip leaving Vero Beach that got me in trouble at Stormalong Bay last year?

Even though we brought them with, I think they made it down to a pool once this entire trip,,,, our very first day at the Martinique pool.
sorry, Dominique pool.

I got up before them, and we did have a great view.

Standing on the balcony, looking almost directly down:

img014.jpg

hmm,,, maybe chrome and aluminum and glass isn't all bad.

now, straight across from us:

img015.jpg

That little white ball off to the left is Spaceship Earth.

Actually, this one is probably more straight across from us.

077.jpg

We could see Spaceship Earth off in the distance, and went out on the balcony to watch Illuminations one night but it was so far away it seemed more like you were watching a bunch of fireflies tie one on.

night night

I agree wholeheartedly about the Yellow Jackets. And when we went in July, my niece and nephew were having none of that! They just wanted to play in the pool on their own. Whatever happened to entertaining yourself? Oh, right, we seem to think kids can't do that anymore.

I love BLT. That's where we stayed in July. I'm glad that you liked the view you ended up getting. We were pretty happy with ours.

Smidgy has it in her head that it is going to be virtually impossible to find the Contemporary on our own, and it looks like it.

LOL! This is so funny!:rotfl:

Will we get to see pictures of the room in the next installment? Can't wait!:goodvibes

above is the quote.

ok, you got this wrong.. sorry. but nebo thought I was nutz for obsessing about the monorail for the few months prior to the trip... ... but.. but.. there were SO many threads about it!!!! yikes!!! must panic NOW!!!! (kinda like all the threads that pop up about "CMS announce.. they will be enforcing fast pass times, no more "late" fast passes" this just in! new news .. thread is from 2009)

anyways. there IS a new policy with the monorails, but it will come INTO effect ON our trip.. we are the guinea pigs.
the monorail will ony run one hour past REGULAR park closing. not until end of EMH>. um what about hard tiket events? night of Joy? MNSSHP? etc.
does that mean the epcot-TTC line? the MK-TTC express line? the Resort line?
on the threads.. no one knew... no take that back EVERYONE knew! they just knew dif.l things, everyone disagreed, they argued , it led to class wars, etc etc

now, Nebo was of the opinion, that.... it was bunk.. they will run the resort monorails... now.. it's not just transportation at stake here , it's my reputation.. (at least my rep with nebo).. (which is all that matters.. who cares what anyone else thinks:confused3:love:)

he was right, they came up to our car, knowing our names, practically rolled out a red carpet (we have stayed DVC before, at BW and BC, and VB, and didn't get this) led us, practically by hand to a CM behind the counter.

this guy (who had a strange resemblence to Dudley Doright) had NO idea what I was talking about in terms on the monorail closing early. really .. NO idea!!! nebo looked at me with that annoying SMIRK!!!!!

then he spoke with the CM next to him, who not only knew what I was talking about, but assured me the monorails would be open.........(he was wrong)..........
I don't want to ruin the suspense .. but no one knew.. ever..... I don't think the monorails operators knew..
spiffy, just spiffy. we are FINALLY staying at a monorail resort, and they are shutting down the monorails.. sometimes, maybe, who knows? no one knows......
you just better hope you aren't uber planners:scared1: (uh oh)

We are in room 8509, 15th floor, the Top of the World Lounge is on the 16th!

this will come into play... I did my research...)

sorry, all you CR or BLT lovers, but I wouldn't want to stay there for the duration. but for a couple nights, it would have been great. I DID feel "rich" staying there. but , as nebo, I DO prefer a more spread out, "resort" type place , as opposed to a "hotel" atmosphere.
the BLT "exclusive " pool was small.
being as it was later (although not THAT much later) most of the tables were taken and we lucked out with one with loungers not far away. again, we never used to care about a table at all, just 2 loungers in the sun...
funny, how things change.. it started with a rainy trip, where we found that it was good to have a table with an umbrella, ....
then, that july trip, where even nebo and I needed to get out of the sun now and then

ever since, we like a table and loungers. (and, yes,we will share our table)

anyhoo, we didn't really know the "lay of the land". our table was right between the drop off, reload for the main slide, . and the baby slide, and right next to the kiddie water play area. and everyone running from the slide to re-enter the stairs, was yelling, screaming, and it all echoed nicely in the slide stairwell.. oh, yeah, and they were all speaking, yeling, actually, in a foreign language.
(sorry to sound "ethno-centric" but yelling sounds much louder when it is gibberish:rotfl:. I know, I listen to the cook's music in the kitchen at the restaurant every weekend)
but there is still something I like about floating on my back in the middle of a pool in florida, and looking up at my surroundings, and saying to myslef .. "wow! look at where I am! I am SO LUCKY!!!!"
and this resort didn't disappoint in that manner.

no nay never, no more

honey, you should have put: no, nay never (bump bump bump bump) no nay never no more.....will I play... the **** *****, no never, no more.

(I didnt want to ruin it.)

oh yeah, I took that picture. and a few more, of the infamous sky writer. guess he is kinda controversial on the dis, but I love him.

he writes things like Jesus saves... God loves you. harmless little things like that. with his own money. not in disney air space . and people get all in arms about it.

I love him

buzz, you @#%*! (tee hee) I got to that last post, and you said what I was going to say...:

the creepiest thing about that picture is the "fay" hand on the face!!!!!!

reminds me of something Steve's sister Lynn used to say "It gives me the Yuddies"

Tee and Hee! That hand thing was so skeevy! I could barely see the rest of the picture because the hand placement was so disconcerting to me. Yuddies! I love this word and I used it today in a conversation at work. I hope you don't mind Smidgy, it's a good one! :thumbsup2

Don't you and Nebo want to take a quick trip to the World in January? DH and I would love to meet you guys. We could treat you to some exoskeletons or fried eel.

I was thinking the exact same thing about the hand, that was the creepy part.
By the way, I also found Lord of the Flies to be unsettling, it meade me wonder, really, how I would have acted there.

Me too Nebo! LOTF is so good because it makes you think about human nature. I read the book way back in British Lit in high school, but that book has stayed with me. The good ones always do. I'm a sucker for trying to figure out/understand what makes people tick.

Wanna know what could be a real nightmare?
I'm thinking of going as the little Coppertone Girl for Halloween!

Oh my word! And now I am glad there are many, many miles between us for Halloween. Yep, I'm not sure what my reaction would be if I was anticipating a cute, innocent trick or treater and Coppertone Nebo showed up. Now I have to agree with Dweatl and say I hope I don't have a Nebo nightmare tonight. Thanks for that! :sad2:

So Nebo I have to tell you that DH and I went for our annual eye checkups today. DH got his eyes dilated, I escaped that, but I did have the fun experience of having him flip my eye lids. I know it's nothing compared to what you have experienced but OMG it was a very unpleasant experience. My eyes have been blood shot this afternoon. I was thisclose to using my cat eye powers on the doctor. He got lucky!! ;)

Now I am off to read the latest chapter installment.

Buzz, you must not have seen the cow costumes Just saying....

Oh Marita! I forgot!! My poor blood shot eyes, they are trying so hard not to conjure it!! Not meant to include Smidgy! ;)

And lovely you looked indeed! ;)

And Nebo was, umm, ahh, hmmm, a cow? Wouldnt that make him female?

Inquiring minds want to know...

Please pardon any ignorance of farm animals, please and thank you!

However, I do have a tip to add for any Neboites with 3 kids (do you have any? I dont think so.... hmmm,) Grandparents, there we go!
The new Alligator Bayou rooms at Port Orleans Riverside start up in November from refubishment with Murphy style beds instead of the awful trundles on the floor, and queen beds. I went to an open house for the staff today, and the reaction from the housekeepers was amazing, they hooted and hollered at then improvements, it was so fun, i stayed for 30 minutes just to watch. Little things even, like tub surrounds instead of tile (no more mildew to clean, woohoo!!!!). Bed boxes under the beds, nothing to get lost under the beds or vacuum, YAY!!). It was a lot of fun to watch. Plus new Keurigs, and a few other new things to be announced.
Dont tell anyone I said this....

ETA: AB rooms sleep 5, French Quarter no longer does due to Queen beds

Cool info! :thumbsup2 Thank you for sharing. :goodvibes

And Nebo, I feel your pain over the high price of a good burger. I had the best burger I've ever eaten in the Houston airport - an airport, of all places! - on the way home from Las Vegas last weekend. Best of all, it was $10. Thick and juicy and the service was fast. I only had an hour and 10 minutes between flights, and there was plenty of time to eat and get to the gate.
Great, Now I'm craving a hamburger.

What's the name of the place in the Houston Airport? :)

oh yeah, I took that picture. and a few more, of the infamous sky writer. guess he is kinda controversial on the dis, but I love him.

he writes things like Jesus saves... God loves you. harmless little things like that. with his own money. not in disney air space . and people get all in arms about it.

I love him

:goodvibes Me too! :lovestruc

Sorry you had to leave your beautiful CBR, but I'm happy your liking your new digs. Not knocking your new home for the next few days, but it's never appealed to me. I'm more of a CSR, POR, AKL or CBR girl. Although I've only ever stayed at CSR and POP.

Another great chapter although now I'm getting nervous about:

a) We're hopping all over the place this trip and people have said we're crazy and now I'm worried that we really are. I hate the dreaded eviction notice and now we're getting three! At least after two of them we get to check in somewhere and get the folder. Don't you hate seeing people walking around the resort with their folders on your LAST day?

b) We're staying at BLT first three nights and now it doesn't sound as awesome as I thought it would be. This is also our first time staying where the other half does and I was hoping to enjoy breathing the rarified air. We're then hopping over to BWV for two nights and AKV for three nights. I figured even with all that checking in we would have less bus travel time.

Are you able to check into all the resorts during your stay using online check-in before you leave?

Another great chapter!

Count me in as someone who isn't a BLT fan. There is something generic and boring about not only BLT but the Contemporary as well. Just never found the love there and doesn't do a thing for me.

Am I the only one totally shocked at how accident proof this vacation has been so far for our dynamic duo? I keep expecting a tumble over a curb, a stray double stroller taking off some shin skin, maybe a fuzzy cup falling off of the 15th floor balcony on to some unsuspecting Disney Exec below?

That being said I have a strong feeling that something whacky is coming up soon! The calm before the storm!!

Jay

Ok...I think I am finally caught up. My Father-in-law passed away last week, and I haven't been online much. I enjoyed the pick-me up and a few giggles thanks to Nebo and Smidgy! Can't wait to read more.

I have a feeling we'll be stuck with the yellow jackets for some time now, or until they need to cutback again.

Smidgy has it in her head that it is going to be virtually impossible to find the Contemporary on our own, and it looks like it.

LOL! This is so funny!:rotfl:

Will we get to see pictures of the room in the next installment? Can't wait!:goodvibes

i iproably wouldn't get too excited, maybe 3 pictures of the innards.

no nay never, no more

honey, you should have put: no, nay never (bump bump bump bump) no nay never no more.....will I play... the **** *****, no never, no more.

hey, are those your asterisks? Why would Wild Rover be bleeped out?

Tee and Hee! That hand thing was so skeevy! I could barely see the rest of the picture because the hand placement was so disconcerting to me. Yuddies! I love this word and I used it today in a conversation at work. I hope you don't mind Smidgy, it's a good one! :thumbsup2

Don't you and Nebo want to take a quick trip to the World in January? DH and I would love to meet you guys. We could treat you to some exoskeletons or fried eel.

We would love to meet you, but the only way I'm going to Disney in January is if we live down there, no way I'm leaving Chicago to go and freeze down in Florida like we did last December.

Ok, I've heard of flip this house but never flip the eyelid.
Do you mean turn it inside out? Why would they do that?

Buzz, you must not have seen the cow costumes Just saying....

Don't you make me, don't you make me....
ah, see what you made me do?

Cool info! :thumbsup2 Thank you for sharing. :goodvibes

Sorry you had to leave your beautiful CBR, but I'm happy your liking your new digs. Not knocking your new home for the next few days, but it's never appealed to me. I'm more of a CSR, POR, AKL or CBR girl. Although I've only ever stayed at CSR and POP.[/COLOR]

What you just said pretty much describes me, I just love all the moderates,,,,, with French Quarter one I'm still not sure about

My favorite thing to do is to go over to the line waiting for Magical Depress on our arrival day and walk up and down the line pretending to give them last rites.

b) We're staying at BLT first three nights and now it doesn't sound as awesome as I thought it would be. This is also our first time staying where the other half does and I was hoping to enjoy breathing the rarified air. We're then hopping over to BWV for two nights and AKV for three nights. I figured even with all that checking in we would have less bus travel time.

Laura, be very excited about stahyin at Bay Lake, it's still the hardest resort to book for a reason, I'm just different in preferring moderates, and my eyes might have something to do with it too, long dark hallways with lots of maid carts are major obstacles for me

Are you able to check into all the resorts during your stay using online check-in before you leave?

We have never used online early check in, never saw an advantage to it plus we want the option to change our room if we don't like where it's at so I can't help you there.

Another great chapter!

Jay

I think I have just been jinxed retroactively.

Ok...I think I am finally caught up. My Father-in-law passed away last week, and I haven't been online much. I enjoyed the pick-me up and a few giggles thanks to Nebo and Smidgy! Can't wait to read more.

I'm very sorry to hear that, our thoughts go out to you and your family. Glad the giggles helped some.
