P.O.T.C. On Stranger Rides! The Missing Chapter,,Final Thoughts,, Preview Thoughts.

Good Chapter Nebo! I am going to go into withdrawal until you and Smidgy return from your late April-May trip. I know you may feel it won't be enough to write about, but trust me, it will be.

Well, we have lost the battle in getting my parents to come with us to Disney in August. I mean, throw the towel in, no way it's going to happen over. My sister just announced that she is pregnant with her 2nd child and she is due on August 7th. She lives about 2 hours away, and there is absolutely no way on God's green earth that my mom will be willing to extend that distance by another 7 hours or so. Game, set, match. I'm excited for my sister. There will be an eight year gap between her kiddos so it will be a huge event for her DS.

It will have to be some other trip. DS will be in the 2nd grade, so I'm not sure when the next trip might be, maybe we can get them then.

Now, I'm going to hop right over to the dining thread.

Last full day already- this trip report has flown by!:sad1: The last Disney day is always so bittersweet. It always seems as if all the happiness and excitement of the trip is somehow counteracted on the last day by the sadness and dread of going home. An equal but opposite force...

Yep, they don't call it Magical Depress for nothin'.

I've always thought the American Idol Experience would be a lot more fun if the prize were something that everyone could use, like a Disney gift card or something. Isn't it likely that people who aren't of American Idol age would enjoy participating and would be just as entertaining as AI-agers?

Hey, for the chance to win a gift card, I'll make a fool out of myself. We have seen people way out of the age bracket win during the day,,, but funny thing,,, come the playoff at night,,,,nope.

WOW. I'm further behind than I thought.

I knew you were MIA when I was taking shots at you and you weren't fighting back.

Ok,,,, got another really big shewww comming up I think in a little while so don't touch that dial!

Wait a minute,,, I haven't finished writing it yet, how do you know it's a good chapter? You're scaring me now!

Well, congrats on the upcoming family member, but I would tell your sister I hope she's satisfied for ruining your vacation now, you couldn't plan things a little better? They kknow what causes that you know,,,,,"

Tuesday morning we got to the Magic Kingdom in plenty of time for rope drop, which means we were able to catch the welcome show. If that doesn't put you in the mood then you don't belong here.

Before we walked out, we checked The Makin' up the Weather as we Go, channel,, and theh said it's going to be sunny, sunny, sunny,,, only a 10% chance of the usual afternoon Disney thunderstorms so Smidgy suggested maybe we should bring umbrellas, but I told her they will probably move in during afternoon swim time.
Yes, we have lots of faith now in The Weather Channel, we simply plan for the opposite of what they say.

But right now after I was personally told "Good morning" to,( I was the third one in the "And you, and you, and you and you" sequence).

But I guess a purist I am not, to make SURE I'm not getting hit with the last day DREADS,,,,,

just to make sure, once inside the gates I went straight to a drinking fountain to swallow my pills, the back and foot aren't bothering too much right now and we're going to keep them that way!

I'm pretty sure I'm almost rid of the "last day feeling" thing though, hey, there's always more trips, and I have a feeling next year we'll be able to maybe, maybe go with my one son and his wife and Jackson.

img016.jpg

We started with Buzz,,,, this time I insisted we switch sides, maybe it's cuz she's always on the left is the reason why she beats me,,,, un uh,,,,not this time,,,, I WANT the left!

And I got it!

She still whupped me.

I am going to guess,,, and I think this is pretty close:
we have probably now ridden this ride 25 times, and I
will estimate my record on this against Smidgy is 4 wins for me, 21 for the evil Smidgy.
But she has 3 times the payroll I have and can sign all the top free agents.

We headed on over towards Fantasyland to run the gauntlet of the 4 minute rides over there.

Our ride philosophy is very simple,,, the shorter the ride,, the shorter the wait time has to be.

Between 9 and 9:30, we can do 5 rides that later in the day would take you over two hours to do.

That is why Fantasyland is a must first thing in the morning,,,, you can knock off Snow White, Pooh,, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Tea cups,,, Small WOrld,,, Carousel,,,in the time it might take you to do Splash Mountain with little wait. You certainly don't invest the time to do Carousel of Progresso or Philharmagic when all these others you can almost walk on.

After Buzz, it was about ten minutes past rope drop and we were just leaving Tomorrowland heading into Fanatalyland when Smidgy saw a statue that seemed new with a sign haning on it, "Wet Paint".
It was of Stitch.

She went over and put her arm around the stutue,,,,

and found out it was a "squishy" statue.

It took a little bit before she could get him to move,,, but we pretty much left him alone as kids were coming, didnn't want to blow his cover.
I guess he was substituting for "Push" this morning.
Come to think of it, we haven't seen ol' Push in the last couple of trips.

For those that may not know what I'm talking about,
"Push", is a remote controlled toy operated by a nearby cast member that can also speak into a microphone to make it talk to guests,,,,, for us the fun part is finding who is the "hidden" cast member.

I did get a picture of Smidgy with the guy who's been waking us up the last two weeks.

img006.jpg

After doing all the shorter rides in Fantasyland, we headed over to Splash and Thunder and rode both of those again.

Tuesday is normally a real slow day at MK,,, but at 10:15 on a hot September morning, they were sending out boats on Splash Mountain with nobody in them.

img036.jpg

If you are into avoiding crowds, I HIGHLY recomment going to MK on Tuesdays.

It wasn't even 11 o'clock yet, but we headed for the exit,
but not before one more picture from our rocking chair site by Big Thunder,,,,so what if it's a smoking area,, we've outgrown that now but it's still OUR SPOT!

img033.jpg

We also grabbed a fastpass for Jungle Cruise, I know we aren't going to have much time left when we come back later, so we have Jungle Cruise and Space Mountain for our fastpasses, I forgot she ran and got us the Space Mountain passes right before we ran into Stitch, the squishy stature.

Problem is,,, this is a bad time to leave a park when you are going back to Animal Kingdom,,,, since by now they are not bringing the guests in droves like in the early morning,,,,,it's pretty much,,,,, "Hey, your on your own."

20 minutes went by I think until a bus pulled up.

Tuesday Afternoon,, "I'm just beginnning to see, now I'm on my way," sorry, that's hard to ignore,,,,

_____________________________________________

Tuesday afternoon and we are eating a make shift lunch while we are changing for the pool.

Yeppers,, a lunch for champions,,, champion whats? I have no idea.

Doritos,,(the Cheetohs were long gone), a hunk of Summer Sausage cut off the roll, Ritz crackers with Garlic and Herb, cheese spread, (and if you really want to make Smidgy go crazy, pronounce the H, in "Herb",) some potato chip crumbs, and the last of the potato salad that was not that good in the first place,,, but now, two weeks later is finally starting to get some flavor. :lmao:

We then head down to the pool,,,, picked up a Sentinel, and for the tenth time I'm bringing with that crappy book, "Come out Tonight" with me so I can ignore it one more time.

It is just after Noon,,, and I can not believe it, we got our table back once again with the lungers right in front of it.

This truly blows my mind,,,, I know it may be a bit higher in love bugs in this bushy area,,, but they are really everywhere, so I don't get it!

We talked for a while,,, she gave me the birthday quiz from the paper where it lists today's celebrity birthdays and I have to try and guess the ages, like we usually do.

Yes, yellow jacket came on duty and we did our best to tune her out, but the really strange, almost scary part of lying here by the pool was that it could very well, really, really really easily feel,,,,, like we were just checking in!:sad2:

Her keeping her cell phone where she can hear it when they call to tell us our room is ready,,,me,,, hoping the vikes will kick in BEFORE the call saying our room is ready.

I would glance at her out of the side of my eye and see her just kind of looking around, normally she would be 100 percent concentrated on the paper, but not now, she's looking around,,, and occasionaly looking at her watch.

Now, I hate it when I get sad at the end of a trip,,, but this is the first time I've seen her look this way, and it really bothered me to see her this way.
But to go and put my arms around her would only make it worse right now, so I tole her I needed the bathroom and I'll be back shortly..

(tole her? what, is this Branson?)

What I wasn't really realizing concerning her mood though,, was,,, well,,, for the first time, our worst fears came true on the way down this trip, and it was like a shattered innocense.

She has always worried about he weather, driving in it, and boy oh boy,,, did we catch it this time.
So now she knows her fears CAN be realized.

Whereas, I have always worried about car problems,,, and 14 previous trips down with no car trouble definately lured me into a false sense of security,,,, especially this trip,,, when I took more precautions than previous times.

So, it's not just last day itus for both of us,,, it's also an uncomfortable worrisome feeling awaiting us for our drive home,,,,, our plastic bubble of safety has been popped, if you will, and I don't think either of us like the new feeling.

I zipped up to the room and poured some of the Creamsicle type pre-made drink from a plastic bottle into a couple of plastic cups with ice,,,, No, I DON"T know what size plastic cups I used this time,,, and zipped right back down to the table and gave it to her.

She couldn't believe I did it that fast, but our room was really close.

We will return for more uplifting, cheery poolside banter in the next chapter,, but now,, a note from our sponsors...
______________________________________________-

Ok, are you ready?

No, I'm not talking to Smidgy, I'm talking to you now,
yes, everybody else thinks I'm talking to all of them, but you
know I'm just talking to YOU!

This is where we finally get to the title of this chapter,, all this other crap was just fluff, but enough of the fluff,,, hmm, enough, fluff,,,,nuff, fluff,,,,,,

anyway,,,, we will call this part Disney by the numbers,,,
mainly,,,,, OUR numbers,,, because I'm a LIST type maniac person.

So, be prepared to be bored to tears,
you will look forward to spending the evening with an AMWAY salesman,,,"Don't you wish you could do better than what you have now?",

a night with a life insurance agent will also seem fun compared to what your are about to read,,,,

shoot,,, you just may end up accepting collect calls from
Telemarketers, so,

YOU , have been warned.
Honestly though,,, after working on this and doing all the adding, I found some of it to be quite interesting. Of course though,,, it concerns us.

One more thing:
(please, don't take any of this as any attempt at bragging, you know I"m not that way, I'm just telling you what you already know, I'm just doing the math, I know there are people that this is NOTHING to them, I just like making lists.)

Gentlemen,, you may start your numbers!

This is our 19th trip to Disney

15th time we drove, 4 times we have flown down.
Twice, we walked.

Just kidding.

We have gone through the dreaded "check-in" process at Disney 38 times!

If we throw in Universal, that number rises to 43.

The total nights we have stayed on Disney property is 184. This floored me when I added it all up.
200 if we include Universal.

The leading resort in a runaway is Pop Century, totalling
41 nights spent there, runner up is Dixie Landings/Riverside with 25

The resort we have stayed at the least amount, but at least stayed there is Wilderness Lodge, coming in with a measly 4 nights.

Resorts we have still NOT stayed at:
The Poly
The Grand Floridian
Old Key West
Saratoga Springs
Swan
Fort Wilderness
Any of the Downtown Disney Hotels

I take liberties I guess with a couple of them,,,
like Beach Club Villas is, to me, part of Yacht Club,,
and same with Boardwalk Villas and Boardwalk, or
Bay Lake Towers and Contemporary

You can also throw in Shades of Green, I guess, never stayed there and probably never will.

But 41 nights at Pop blows my mind,,,that's six weeks,,, could you imagine if it was all in one trip,,,, a six week stay at Pop Century? How cool would that be,,,?

Or the 184 total nights on Disney Property,,,, that's almost exactly 6 months!

I wonder what that would be like,,, six months of being on site,,, going to parks,,, basically living there and eating there?

You know what?
I'd be willing to give it a try!
I bet I STILL won't have eaten at Akershus.

Now, let's throw something else at you.
Should you pay extra for a room view upgrade? Well,,,,

out of the last 14 times we have checked into a Disney resort,,, 11 of them have been water views.
One of the non water views was because we requested a "street" view at French Quarter, so that's realy only two times out of 14 we didn't look at water.

I have to admit,,, we had to choose Lake view at BLT because we didn't want to pay for Magic Kingdom view,,, and one of our water views was because we had to book a "water view room" at CBR cuz that's all they had left.

But all the other times we were either given a verbal upgrade at check in,,, or found out when we got to our room.

If you are wondering why or how I remember all this crap,, well, writing the trip reports has really helped in keeping the memories alive.

It also helps to be ADD,, OCD,,,TMI and BYOB.

Oh, couple last numbers for you:

This is the number of "different" table service meals we have eaten at, table service being described by if a waitperson comes and takes your order.

Our table service count is now up to 36 and 1/2.

Yes, I'm not allowed to count Alfredo's of Italy before it closed and changed names because I walked out in a hissy fit after I choked down some of the Tuscan Bean Soup and basically wasn't in the mood to eat yet.

And no,,, Teppanedo and Teppenyaki still count as just one.

But doesn't that number just seem ridiculous? 36?

There's still a lot of places whe havent eaten at still/yet.

That's what makes Disney so great!
After all these times going, we still have places like ;

Citricos
Holleywood and Vine
Brown Derby
Kouzinas
Flying Fish
Contemp Cafe
Captain't Grill
1900 Park Fair
Chef Mickey's

and on and on,,,, heck,,, we still have not eaten at a single "sit down" restaurant in Magic Kingdom.

Yeah, a long way to go till this list is checked off,,,, and that's the good thing,, always something to look forward to,,and you never know what each trip will bring.

I really want to see pics of you guys at Crystal Palace with Pooh. Maybe your August trip?

Oh my goodness, your Disney by the numbers post was crazy! But now, you're making me think about doing Disney by the numbers for myself, just so see how crazy it is. I was not bored by that. I was thoroughly entertained.

/
I don't think jackson is into winnie the pooh.. maybe chef mickey's.. OR I know he likes handy manny and agent oso (he and I love phineas and furb) and nebo has NO idea what I am talking about, so hollywood and vine might be in there... if there were only sponge bob stuff.. oops wrong park,,,, wrong resort...

i am just SOOOO PSYCHED!! about a week with JACKSON!!!
at my favorite place!!
unfortunately, we don't get to see him that often.. our son is divorced from his mom, and our son only gets to see him every other weekend,,,, and . I work weekends....... so this trip is really ALL ABOUT spending it TOTALLY with JACKSON!!! yay!!!!:yay:

we might even be able to have an evening with Jackoson to ourselves, if our son and his wife want a date night!:dance3:

I can not wait to have a whole week with our grandson!!!! at disney!!! ohy boy!!!:dance3:

wow! yeah! that totaly amazed me too!

the "check in process" is amazing.

I wonder how many people think about that.

we use to worry about that ,when there were smoking rooms. that was always a big worry... even though we requested a smoking room .. would we get it

and then.. would we get a room near a smoking area?

and then, we quit smoking.

sheesh. hate to leave ut an exciting variable in the room location..

I would have to say the check in process has always been somewhere between exciting and anxiety ridden for us.

but. always fun.. you never know what you're going to get!!! and it's always fun to try to get something better.

and, truth be told, we have been INCREDIBLY LUCKYY!!!!
I have mostly been so happy with our rooms. now, we have almost never taken the first room offered.....

and only a few times have we not been happy with the room location.
but.. you know what.. it was still fine!!! just not the best.

I read about bad housekeeping... never had a problem. mostly, I just want them to "leave me alone!" :lmao: a few maintainence issues.

but the check in process has become an exciting part of the trip ... hey.. we get out excitement whereever we can.. ;)

Confession time Nebo! I was referring to the previous "soap" chapter when I said I liked the chapter. The latest chapter was terrific. I like the number analysis. I like to chart information and be able to "see" what the results are. I would love six months at Disney. On our first trip with DS we ran into a couple from Germany with their young son. We actually watched the Country Bear Jamboree with them. They told us they vacation at Disney twice a year, for 21 days each trip. That sounded, and still sounds, like heaven to me! :cloud9:

Thanks for the family congrats. I'm personally rooting for a girl because poor DD is alone in a sea of boys when the extended family is considered. Yeah, I would think my sister and brother-in-law know what causes it, but hey, maybe they were rusty! There is going to be an eight year gap between the kiddos! ;)

As Aunt, I'm not going to cancel our Disney trip but I will bring back a cute Pooh onesie!

Smidgy, I am so excited for you and Nebo on your upcoming trip with Jackson! You guys are going to have a blast with him!!

I bet he will love the "Phineas and Ferb" meet in DHS. They basically run through a mock taping of a movie, but the kids get to meet them and take part. He would probably love it!

funy , when nebo and I had a DVC studio, we talked about, .. gee how long could we "live " here? and we decided (in spite of the close proximity) a pretty darned long time!!!

but now you have to remember the "vacation" variable.

at home if hubby passes within X proximity, and I had to work until 1 am, and he hasn't done a thing about the laundry.. well smidgy is. morose...:sad2:.

but, in WDW, the same scenarios ellicits a totally dif.response. i.e. ok, mix me up a cocktail, we'll go see whatever band is playing at epcot.... and.. after illuminatins. we'll talk..;)

Tuesday morning we got to the Magic Kingdom in plenty of time for rope drop, which means we were able to catch the welcome show. If that doesn't put you in the mood then you don't belong here.

Do you know that in the 23 times I have been to Disney, I have NEVER seen this?

Me too!

And I tried to put Akerhaus on our possible list and DS nixed it. Well, what he actually said is "You and dad can go, I'm not eating with no princesses":rotfl2:

I hope it's not over! You'll report about the drive home too, right??

Loved the "by the numbers" segment. It's really amazing how much time you've logged down there when you add it up.

My DH gives me the celebrity birthday quiz as well, I kick butt.

****

I've been reading your old TRs, and I'm up to Jingle Bells and Oil Wells. I followed the link on page 5 to RigLee's TR, and finished the whole thing in a night. It was a really great read, but the whole debate over it being fact or fiction was a real bummer. I'm wondering if anyone ever found out if it was true or not, and if anyone has heard from Lee again.

****
And another side note- DH and I are officially moving up your way this summer. He accepted a job in Darien (I think). We're meeting with our mortgage guy next week, so fingers crossed that we'll be able to buy something good. We're looking in the Bollingbrook area for now.

And Smidgy, any tips on steakhouses that I should think about applying at? I'm already gonna hit the big ones in Naperville - Mortons, Harry Caray's,

Looks like if our Disney trip this April works out, we'll miss you by smidge. We're leaving on the 29th. We do have ADRs for H&V breakfast, so I'll let you now how it is for your Jackson trip! :thumbsup2

Fantastic update!! I love your compilation of Disney By The Numbers, now you've got me thinking about my own numbers....and how I'd love to be up as high as your stats!! If we can swing a trip this summer it will be our 20th trip.

And Smidgy.... I love your excitement over a whole week with Jackson!! I can't wait for that trip report!!! Nebo, bring all the cameras and memory cards!!!

This made my heart smile, so few people "get it" that there is sooo much to do each time, so much to look forward to, while it's sad to leave there is always something new to try next time :thumbsup2

BTW - we still have half a day and a journey back coming to us right? :rolleyes1

I love your disney by the numbers! It's the perfect example of why so many of us return year after year!:goodvibes I don't think it's possible to ever "do" all of WDW.

Yay for a week with Jackson! You should just take him and leave his dad at home.:rolleyes1

D.Jay and I talk frequently about how fun it's going to be to take our grandkids to disney...and the fact that we could be grandparents within 10 years, scares the crap out of me.:scared1:

Great chapter Steve!

I feel your pain regarding the last full day blues. It happens to me every trip. My wife says she can see it building up about 2 days before we leave. She actually took a picture of me the morning of the day we were leaving. I was out on the balcony with my head in my hands, so depressed! I would post it here if I just knew how. I have it saved but on Snapfish.

I actually saw the Magic Kingdom rope drop for the first time on my December conference trip. It was really cool. As I said before I tried to do things that I have never done before (keep your minds out of the gutter now!!) during that solo trip down, and lord knows my family isn't the "get there for rope drop" type. I'm lucky my wife will leave the comforts of her Storm Along Bay lounge chair at all, let alone first thing in the am!

What a great picture that is of Smidgy and Stitch. One of those "pure joy" pics that you snap unexpectedly at WDW. The look on her face is priceless. My favorite pic on your TR by far!

Love how you added up all of your stays, check in's, sit down dining etc. I have always wanted to do that. It really is staggering when you think of it. And I have said the exact same thing you have about always having something new to see and try on our trips. I'm sure you all get the same annoying question I do all the time, "Disney World again? Why do you want to go back, you were just there?". Your comments are a perfect answer to that perfectly annoying question. Some of us get it and others never will. I'm so glad I'm on the "get it" side of the equation!

My top pick for where you should dine next is Citrico's. I was there twice for dinner on separate conferences and have never had a better meal in all of WDW! The food and atmosphere are phenomenal and I dare say it is worth 2 TS credits in my humble opinion!

Very much looking forward to another chapter and hoping you can stretch them out a bit because it's depressing enough having your favorite NFL team choke away a title but combining that with the end of a Nebo-Smidgy Trip Report would be excessive cruel and unusual punishment!!

Jay

I really want to see pics of you guys at Crystal Palace with Pooh. Maybe your August trip?

ahahahah, NO.

Oh my goodness, your Disney by the numbers post was crazy! But now, you're making me think about doing Disney by the numbers for myself, just so see how crazy it is. I was not bored by that. I was thoroughly entertained.

I was too, Danielle. I laid on the couch for an hour just staring at the celing, coundting and remembering,,

Confession time Nebo! I was referring to the previous "soap" chapter when I said I liked the chapter. The latest chapter was terrific. I like the number analysis. Totally agree, two 21 day trips works just great for me, too. But do I have to eat sauerkraut every night?

As Aunt, I'm not going to cancel our Disney trip but I will bring back a cute Pooh onesie!

This probably doesn'st reflect well on my manhood that I happen to still know what a "onesie" is.

I bet he will love the "Phineas and Ferb" meet in DHS. !

Are they related to, like, Peaches and Herb?

Do you know that in the 23 times I have been to Disney, I have NEVER seen this?

that's rigght, you always said you were one of those that walks in at 11 oclock,,,, well do yourself a favor and at least Utube it.

Really, it's not on the best parks list from touding plans for our trip:confused3

For one thing,,, I could blow Sehlinger's Touring plans away, with far less walking... but we are talking here apples and oranges,,,, I didn't say Tuesday was the Best Day,,,, only the least crowded day,,,, sometimes there's no parade on tuesdays,,,, no fireworks, maybe,,,, other factors they use in their determinations. And I can tell it's now a great day to be at Ak,,,, both monday and wednsday are now early entry days there.

And I tried to put Akerhaus on our possible list and DS nixed it. Well, what he actually said is "You and dad can go, I'm not eating with no princesses":rotfl2:

AND that goes for me too!

I hope it's not over! You'll report about the drive home too, right??

Right. I'bve beentalking the whole report on the lovely drive home,,,, but you know,,, i think I'll just leave that out now! "Screw the Beast!" boy, I can almost hear Gaston saying that now.

My DH gives me the celebrity birthday quiz as well, I kick butt.

I'm not bad either,, we'll have to have a showdown one of these days.

I've been reading your old TRs, and I'm up to Jingle Bells and Oil Wells. I followed the link on page 5 to RigLee's TR, and finished the whole thing in a night. It was a really great read, but the whole debate over it being fact or fiction was a real bummer. I'm wondering if anyone ever found out if it was true or not, and if anyone has heard from Lee again.

i don't think so,,,the report got strange when she went and pullled all her pictures out of it near the end. But she garnered 3 times the views that this pathetic report generates.

****
And another side note- DH and I are officially moving up your way this summer. He accepted a job in Darien (I think). We're meeting with our mortgage guy next week, so fingers crossed that we'll be able to buy something good. We're looking in the Bollingbrook area for now.

Bollingbrook nice, not cheap,, about 35, 40 miles south east of us.
Best of luck to you.

What are you talking about,,, those are our numbers!,,,,, let's see now,,,, we have gone 19 times,, have a trip planned int April,,,,you hope to go this summer,,, that will make 20,,,,ok,,,, this is a Kentucky thing, right?

And Smidgy.... I love your excitement over a whole week with Jackson!! I can't wait for that trip report!!! Nebo, bring all the cameras and memory cards!!!

Dawn

Dawn, remember when it used to be bring plenty of film?

This made my heart smile, so few people "get it" that there is sooo much to do each time, so much to look forward to, while it's sad to leave there is always something new to try next time :thumbsup2

BTW - we still have half a day and a journey back coming to us right? :rolleyes1

Yeah my "show me " friend,,,, probably 3 chapters left till it all goes black.

I love your disney by the numbers! It's the perfect example of why so many of us return year after year!:goodvibes I don't think it's possible to ever "do" all of WDW.

I totally agree,,but they are making it easier and easier to blow through Epcot cuz there's nothing to do there except shop.

D.Jay and I talk frequently about how fun it's going to be to take our grandkids to disney...and the fact that we could be grandparents within 10 years, scares the crap out of me.:scared1:

Oh brother,,,, she's worrying about ten years from now.

Jay, you sound just like me. And yes,,, you can feel it coming on.

I actually saw the Magic Kingdom rope drop for the first time on my December conference trip. It was really cool. As I said before I tried to do things that I have never done before (keep your minds out of the gutter now!!) during that solo trip down, and lord knows my family isn't the "get there for rope drop" type. I'm lucky my wife will leave the comforts of her Storm Along Bay lounge chair at all, let alone first thing in the am!

that reminds me,,, something fI want to talk about,, but gonna do it in the next chapter,,,,
all about the mindset.

What a great picture that is of Smidgy and Stitch. One of those "pure joy" pics that you snap unexpectedly at WDW. The look on her face is priceless. My favorite pic on your TR by far!

I am so glad to hear it's not the one of me holding the Uncle John's Bathroom reader to my naked chest.

Strange thing it is,,,, we still like Uni,,, ut don't ever ask me to stay at Uni right after a Disney stay,,, NO, Sorry,,you have it backwards.

You don't stay at the Animal Kingdome Lodge and then move over to All Stars,,,, even though we did one time,,, heh heh

My top pick for where you should dine next is Citrico's. I was there twice for dinner on separate conferences and have never had a better meal in all of WDW! The food and atmosphere are phenomenal and I dare say it is worth 2 TS credits in my humble opinion!

we will keep it in mind.

Very much looking forward to another chapter and hoping you can stretch them out a bit because it's depressing enough having your favorite NFL team choke away a title but combining that with the end of a Nebo-Smidgy Trip Report would be excessive cruel and unusual punishment!!

Jay

Sorry about that Jay,,, it was a strange game,,,, can you imagine being the guy that picked and bet on a Saftey being the first score of the game? ANd on ehe first play? Well, Tom will be back next year,,, if his teammates don't run him and Giselle out of town for her comments.,, which really got overblown.
