I've read here about bad restaurant experiences, so in honor of the holiday season, I though I'd post a good experience.:)

My husband and I took DD19 and her boyfriend out to dinner at P.F. Chang's last night. The food and our waiter were both excellent!:thumbsup2

After taking our orders, the waiter came back to inform us that the white rice some of us had ordered wasn't available. So, instead he gave us double portions of brown rice and didn't charge for it. Half-way through our meal, the kitchen cooked up more white rice (not sure what happened the first time around) and our waiter brought us a large bowl of it, again no charge.:)

Then, for dessert we all ordered the mini-desserts (and if you've been to P.F. Chang's, you know how small they really are-tiny portions!) When our desserts arrived, my daughter and her boyfriend got the mini-desserts, but the waiter brings out a HUGE slab of chocolate cake with raspberry sauce for my husband and me. We had ordered the chocolate cake minis, but he informed us that they were out of the mini-chocolate cake desserts, so he substituted the large slice of cake. And, again, no charge! The cake was free! The waiter just smiled and wished us all "Merry Christmas!" And yes, in this PC world, he actually said "Merry Christmas!":)

Great food and great service!:thumbsup2

Wow!
That's great service! We just got a new one near us, and DS 10 wanted to go for his B-day dinner on Sat, but we got snowed in instead. We hope to get there soon. I  their lettuce wraps!

I went there on Saturday with my boyfriend for the first time. I had a vegetarian lettuce wrap (didn't care for the tofu, had never had it before but this would have been great with real meat) and the spring rolls. He had egg drop soup, I tried a sip of the broth (I am a bad vegetarian) and it was AMAZING. He also got some orange chicken (can't think of the name of it) with brown rice and vegetables. Had some of the rice and veggies and they were delicious. Would love to go back and try some more vegetarian dishes. Didn't get a dessert but on the way out saw a tray with them and :love::love:

I love PF Changs. Their food and service have always been great anytime we were there!

I love PF Changs, also their "cousin" Pei Wei (same ownership very similar food-the "counter service" alternative LOL). Have a hard time finding "regular" chinese restaurants that will cut it for me anymore.

I got the "Great Wall of Chocolate" Cake before, OMG I think one piece has like 1800 calories or something crazy like that. Sooo good though. They used to have (still do maybe?) a flourless chocolate dome that is also FANTASTIC (though pricey).

Love the fried green beans too, the ones at Fridays just don't measure up!

Their Nutty Uncle Changs Favorite Drink is to die for. It is legendary now in our family. I found a recipe in one of those copycat books and we make it at every holiday, get together and tailgating event..:thumbsup2

I agree, love it there.

Our PF Chang's will make their General Tso's mild especially for the kids, who at 11 and 6 each scarf down an adult meal of their own.

They will also make up a special version of General Tso shrimp for me. Yummy! Unfortunately we don't go often enough because it is pricey and its not one of DH's favorites. :sad2:

MMMM love PJ Chang's!! The lettuce wraps are heavenly. BFF had the flourless chocolate cake for her bday (she has Celiac's so no flour) and it was sooooooooo good.....

Nice to hear some good comments about restaurant food/service, even moreso that it's a chain. :)

My daughter got the crispy orange chicken (maybe that's what your boyfriend had) and it was delicious. Their BBQ ribs are about the best I've had anywhere!

It's funny, because my husband has eaten at many P.F. Chang's while on business trips, but I've never really had any desire to go to any. He's always after me to try the place, so last night I caved and we went. I'll definitely be going back!

P.F. Changs is one of our favorite restaurants. We have never had a bad meal or service:goodvibes

I'm guessing you're talking about the new one at Settler's Ridge. We went there a couple of weeks ago. It was a really long wait (about 90 minutes), but the food was great - especially the egg drop soup.

Another big Changs fan here! Love the lettuce wraps, dynamite shrimp, orange peel shrimp, mongolian beef....I could go on and on!!!!!!!:yay:

We also live near the Settler's Ridge location. We might go to the movies & P.F. Chang's for New Year's Eve:woohoo:

Yup - we like it too. My favorite dish there is the eggplant & ground chicken. We tried many times to duplicate that one at home!
'Course, their shrimp & melon is very good too.....

Actually, we are on the other side of the state....and that's one more plus to PF Chang's...they take reservations, which not a lot of places around here do!
