I've read here about bad restaurant experiences, so in honor of the holiday season, I though I'd post a good experience.
My husband and I took DD19 and her boyfriend out to dinner at P.F. Chang's last night. The food and our waiter were both excellent!
After taking our orders, the waiter came back to inform us that the white rice some of us had ordered wasn't available. So, instead he gave us double portions of brown rice and didn't charge for it. Half-way through our meal, the kitchen cooked up more white rice (not sure what happened the first time around) and our waiter brought us a large bowl of it, again no charge.
Then, for dessert we all ordered the mini-desserts (and if you've been to P.F. Chang's, you know how small they really are-tiny portions!) When our desserts arrived, my daughter and her boyfriend got the mini-desserts, but the waiter brings out a HUGE slab of chocolate cake with raspberry sauce for my husband and me. We had ordered the chocolate cake minis, but he informed us that they were out of the mini-chocolate cake desserts, so he substituted the large slice of cake. And, again, no charge! The cake was free! The waiter just smiled and wished us all "Merry Christmas!" And yes, in this PC world, he actually said "Merry Christmas!"
Great food and great service!
