I guess I'm the "odd" one in the family...I cannot eat raw oysters!

I am curious about the baked ones...what are they like? I have to draw the line with mussels for some reason, but I love all other types of seafood...

A restaurant near where we vacation in Florida has 12 different varieties of baked oysters...from Butter & Parmesan topped to Crab, Sherry & Monterey Jack topped.

My parents are raw oyster fanatics and would never eat them baked...

Raw...with a little lemon, horshradish and a dash of tobasco... :woohoo:

Roasted over a firepit until the pop open... a little butter and don't forget the beer!

I love horseradish & tobasco...maybe I could put that one a baked oyster instead of trying to choke down a raw one again, I'd do just fine...

Like'm best raw. Like'm also in a po'boy. That's the only way I can have fried of any kind seafood.

I agree that they are definitely better with a nice ice cold beer. :thumbsup2

Fried, so I know they died. I don't like eating or chancing eating a living object. And they do make a nice po'boy.

We like them dipped in egg, rolled in cracker crumbs, and then fried.

Deep fried with lots of tartar sauce. :goodvibes Pretty sure I could eat 6 dozen!

Definitely not raw. I've never eaten a raw oyster but my law firm represented a family where the father died from eating them. :scared:

Yes raw.
Yes baked - especially freshly-caught, right there in the sand. Ono!

Yummy!! Raw and fried you cant beat a good ersta! Love um all ways. Theres a restaurant here that makes the best darn grilled oysters, Dragos. Good god talk about delish. :woohoo: :woohoo:

raw just sounds so gross to me- and I eat raw fish all the time in Sashimi and sushi!

What's a po' boy?
