Oxygen concentrator logistics

Hi - Thank you to everyone who is so active on this board, providing so much information
We are taking my mom to Disney World for her first ever visit (my DH and DS and I have been 3 times before, we finally convinced her to join us).

She has advanced COPD, so uses a wheelchair (but can transfer on foot to ride cars, etc.) and is on oxygen 24/7. She will be using a portable oxygen concentrator for our visit.

She LOVES rides with a drop, like Splash MOuntain. She's concerned though that for Splash Mountain, because of the drop and the water, that she won't be allowed to go on. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Also, I've read that we can leave a spare battery to be charged at the first aid stations, is that so?

We have to old PAssporter guide fo disabilities, but it's so outdated, and I don't know where else to find the information (we will request the guidebook at the parks when we get there)

I don't know any of the Splash Mountain ride answers, but I have a suggestion based on something that happened to a client we flew in for a meeting last year.

Her equipment stopped working on the flight. She landed late in the afternoon and was unable to contact her doctor or equipment supplier. Fortunately we found a medical supply that was still open and had one to rent. Ask your doctor or hotel for a referral to medical supply place in FL before you leave home. Have that info with you so if something goes wrong you can get a back up much more easily.

thanks We will likely be renting the concentrator from her supplier, and they have already located a FL contact in case we need emergency service.
We are driving down, we're taking her home concentrator, too, to keep in the cabin.

Have you thought about taking a small aluminum oxygen tank with you as a back-up? She could take it with her for the rides and would not have to worry about water or not enough space for the concentrator. We use both for my DD10 - Sequal concentrator at night and for travel, and aluminum tanks for the parks. We usually drive so taking oxygen tanks is not an issue; if you fly you would need to order them in Orlando.

We hadn't thought of taking tanks at all, I actually assumed that there would be more restrictions for taking metal tanks on rides than there would be for a small portable concentrator.
