OWWW! Shots

I can't stand other people doing stuff to my eye. Like when the eye doctor puts drops in or puts the contact in for you. I can touch my eye though. I have to every day. I can't live without my contacts, i can't stand glasses.

About the shots, if you're a girl just wait until you get the HPV vaccine. It hurts so much. When I get shots they use this thing, it's a circular disk that has little spikes on one side. and you put that side against the skin and you put pressure against it and then they give you the shot through the little hole. You can't really feel the prick of the shot because there are 50 other things pricking you.

O.O
Ah well.
I was told I had to get that one....but then my mom told me today I didn't.
I don't know when I'll have to.

I have no idea if I'm getting an HPV shot.
My mother doesn't really mention stuff like that.

My mom is debating whether or not I should get it.
She wants to find out about all the side effects before I get it.

Same here, it's actually one of my top fears.
Last year, my doctor thought I scratched my retina and had to put this strip into my eye so that if there was a scratch it would show up under the blacklight.
I seriously almost ran out of the office. My mom was forced to hold me down. I got in trouble for that one.
Yeah. When the eye doctor first told me I should wear contacts, I flipped. The nurse had to strap me down in a chair, and use this little thing to keep my eyes open to put the first contact in.

Also, I have this freckle thing in my eye, and they doctor wanted to put this suction thing on it to exam it, but I would let him.

I seriously have OCD.

Kayla, I know what you're talking about. I gasped when it happened.

Hmm.
I'll probably won't get it unless they ever make it mandatory that you get it.

The flu shot, I make myself get every year. I know I have the choice to avoid it, but I have never had the flu. And honestly if I got a version where all I did was vomit, it would scar me for life.

I had the flu, it sucks but it's not like life-changing.
I get the FluMist though, they just spray some stuff up your nose.
It takes like two seconds and doesn't hurt at all.

I'm emetophobic. Sometimes my fear of vomitting can control situations. It's awful. A stomach ache can ruin my day because of that fear.

I hadn't really watched that CSI at the time I saw it. I was on youtube looking at Las Vegas CSI and I clicked on this video. I thought I was going to pass out in my chair when I first saw it. I had to close my eyes. xD But that's the only time I've ever felt that way. Then I went back and watched the episode later...still freaky but it wasn't as bad.

I don't think I could wear contacts. I have no problem with putting things in my eye, but I don't thing I could get the contact in without my eyes watering.

I haven't had a flu shot in like 3 years or so.
I don't get one every year. And out of thos I've only had the flu badly like once a year. And I'm better within a day or two. -knock on wood-
I rarely get stay in bed sick.

Oh, I'm sorry.
Yeah, than the flu would definetly NOT be something you would want.
Outta curiousity, what do you do when you get a stomach virus?

I don't.
Get them that is.
I have no been sick since I was about.. 6 or 7. I didn't eat anything for breakfast and got car sick. I was wearing an ugly red dress that day that I hated. AFter that I refused to wear it.

I can touch my eye, but I don't think I'd be able to wear contacts. I'd freak out if it went in backwards or got stuck in the corner of my eye.
My friend really hates taking them out or putting them in, so she demands that everyone leave her alone when she's doing it.

you all probably think i'm weird but i like watching the needle go into my skin i think it looks cool

I don't like getting shots. I always listen to my iPod just before and while the nurse does it, because it relaxes me. I had to get my tetanus shot just over a year ago, and it really didn't hurt that bad. Just don't tense up. Oh, and the tetanus shot, as well as several others, make it so that you can't raise your arm on its own for about a day.

I have to get my HPV/cervical cancer 1st shot at my check-up next week. My mom insists on it, since she wants to reduce the risk of my going through what she's gone through as much as possible. I understand her logic, but it's a shot!

I'm sick quite often so I have to get my blood taken.

I don't mind it as long as I don't have to look at the needle. *Shudder*
