Owning DVC is still better than eating broccoli

A bit off topic, so I could get in trouble, but….

When I lived in CT there was a restaurant that served shrimp stuffed with mozzarella, then wrapped in bacon. It was called “poppy john shrimp”.
It was orgasmic.
No Brussel sprouts or broccoli involved.

Sorry for the drift, but it just reminded me and had to share.
Chowder Pot still serves it and it is amazing.

As for what I like about DVC, I like that it makes our Disney trips more enjoyable due to space and still budget friendly. I would refuse to pay cash rates for 1 and 2 bedroom villas. I love that my kids find Disney magical after so many trips. I like maximizing our APs in a 12 month period.

I don’t like that my husband is (not surprisingly) tired of WDW already. We were supposed to renew APs next month to cover a few days of our November trip and a trip next summer. Instead, we are not going to renew and are instead going to branch out to Aulani, to DisneyLand, to HHI (VB is on the schedule for a few days at the end of our November trip).

It is pretty clear that 4 long trips to WDW in 24 months is too much for my husband (the kids and I don’t mind at all). I’m not sure how many more times I can hear him suggest places other than WDW for our 2023 vacations.

We purchased with the intent of going once a calendar year. 2020 changed that for us and we went more than we anticipated. But I think we are ready to go back to our original plans of WDW once a year as a bonus in between other vacations.

DVC still works for us because it makes our WDW trips affordable for us.
