Can someone explain the owners lockers. I keep reading about keeping stuff in their lockers and I am haven't found anything on what they are and were they are. Thanks

I might just add that I was a little skeptical about whether the cost for this service would be worthwhile. After using Owner's Locker for a year I can say that I will never be without it. Not only is the convenience a blessing for a relaxing vacation, but Brian and John provide the most professional service I have received from any company, ever. Period. DVC costs more than value resorts but offers a whole different approach to vacationing. Owners Locker makes schlepping stuff back and forth seem like a return to the old way of vacationing.

How often do you replenish your stuff in your locker? How often do you visit WDW? I'm just trying to figure out if something like this is worth it for our family.

We visit several times a year, but as health issues keep interfering, I can foresee that we might need to cut back for a while. Still, I want my locker in Orlando. We bought large sizes of toiletries, so have not replenished yet (and it surely is nice not to have to deal with liquids at security in the airports). We also love having some stuff there that we would not want to tote back and forth but enjoy having--like folding stools for parades. Then there are the backpacks, night-lights, pails and buckets, etc. that we don't now need to replace, haul with us or do without.

I couldn't agree more! :thumbsup2

Exactly!!

We seem to be making one week long trip and one long weekend trip per year, and now that I've had OL for a year, we aren't giving it up!

Keep pondering them for our Vero Beach visits. I think they will meet us at MCO to pick up and drop off. Would anyone know? I should probably give them a call. :goodvibes

Yes they will. They met us at the airport for our trip last July, and will be meeting us at the base of the escalator by baggage claim for our trip coming up. Great service. Brian is the best! :thumbsup2

us to but now we have it cant see us going back to the old way and we have cut down on our suitcases by one large one with the stuff we have left well worth the cost

It will be worth even more to have OL if all the airlines decide to start charging for more than one suitcase! We just traveled with one suitcase for both the DH and me. I loved it.

I also can not agree more. The convenience, service, and ease of OL are wonderful. :lovestruc :lovestruc

We got a Owners Locker in Jan. We stocked it up full. DW will be using it first in Jun. Then we will be using it in Nov. We figure it will take a trip or 2 to get it down right. We bought full size shampoo and conditioner, a large box of laundry soap. Razor and such for me. A fitted sheet, a sharp knife for when we are in a studio. Even before we heard about the extra charge for a second check bag we figured the less hassle on the shampoo conditioner, Germ X and such was worth it to us.

Can anyone explain OL? Are the lockers different sizes, and can anyone disclose the prices? Also, is the price charged over a 12 mos. period?

First here is their website: Owner's Locker

The lockers are all the same size. They are large purple plastic boxes. From their website, the cost is $99/year. The cost includes 1 delivery/pick-up. Additional delivery/pick ups are $25 each. There is also an unlimited plan that is $179/year. I believe that there is also a one time membership fee. I have used mine once so far and will be using it 3 times this year. I am really going to love not needing to pack shampoo, etc.

That actually sounds pretty reasonable if the lockers are a good size. I would be considering one for my Vero Beach trips. Could I possibly put in a small elctric pan, crock pot? Maybe a couple dishes?

I would think that would fit. Here is the website page with the dimensions. Locker dimensions

I haven't tried anything like that, but hopefully someone will read this who has.

During the cup and mug issue, I finally signed up for Owner's Locker. DH had been very resistant, and I did it without him knowing:guilty: But after I told him he started talking about the socks and package of underwear he could leave there, and I think it'll be ok. He's kind of looking forward to stocking up the bin in July. I have already bought a closeout set of Pfaltzgraff melamine (remember the mugs and cups?) and have been watching ebay auctions for a George Foreman grill. I'm also thinking about a small cutting board, and a sharp knife for cheese. Then there are the OTC supplies and toiletries, ponchos, Pal Mickey will get a home there and so on...

Does Bell Services transport the OL to your room and back or do you have to do it? It looks like it would be so heavy! I can't imagine trying to move it from location to location.

Good question. That could be an issue if I put some of the kitchen items I wanted in it. Hope someone responds.
