Anyone use Ower Lockers? Can you help outline how this works and the benefits you may find from it. Thanks.

God's gift to DVC members. You get, for a very reasonable annual storage fee, a large, well-designed, purple plastic container for storing things you would like to leave at WDW rather than hauling them down every time you go. It will also store golf clubs. Things we keep in the box include shampoo, conditioner, and other bathroom items, hair curler set, bows, umbrellas, ponchos, sandles, coffee and filters, bandaids, extra iPhone charger and lightning cable, advil, napkins, kleenex, some clothes, and a lot of etc.

You have an online account through which you provide OL when you will be at WDW and which resort, and your box is delivered to luggage services in the morning of your arrival and picked-up in the afternoon of your departure. When you arrive you just to have luggage services bring it up, and have it picked up by them when you leave. You can keep track of what is in your box via an easy to use online form in youir account for listng what is in it.

Unlike far too many fly by night storage companies, what you also get is first rate service, no errors to speak of, and a mangement team always trying to please.

The annual fee is currently $99 a year and for that you get one delivery and pick-up for the year, and then pay a fee for extra trips. You can, of course, get more than one box but each is a $99 annual fee.

Note that we have also, for grandchildren, rented a two seater stroller through its Magic Strollers operation and that is also an excellent service.

Don't DVC members get a discount from OL (either on the initial membership fee and/or annual fee)?

There was a discount off of the initial membership fee, and I am somewhat out on a limb on this one because I only glanced at the announcement that appeared not too long ago, but I believe there is no longer a discount off the initial membership fee because there is no longer an initial membership fee for DVC members. You just pay the $99 annual fee.

From the Member Benefits & More section of the Member Website:
As a Disney Vacation Club Member, you can save 20% on membership to Owner's Locker. With this personal storage service, you can stow some of your favorite vacation items in Orlando—and they'll be ready for you during your next Orlando vacation.

You must use the special link on the member website to take advantage of this special offer.

^That 20% discount is one off the initial membersahip fee. As I mentioned there was a recent announcement that you can join for no membership fee. Go here for Onwers Locker's latest promotion https://www.ownerslocker.com/order/ It may just be a short-time promotion but right now you can get in with no membership fee and thus no need for the discount.

There are a number of benefits to having an OL. For instance, for short stays DW and I fly with carry-on bags only. No baggage fees, and no schlepping a bunch of stuff back & forth every trip. The only reasons I can think not to have an OL is if you drive, or if you don't visit often. The customer service is outstanding.

Thanks, this just pushed me over the ledge and I joined.

I plan on keeping an air mattress in it. That way my girls don't have to share a bed. That is well worth it.

I just signed up the other night. No set-up fee but I didn't see anywhere to enter a promo code. (coupon in the book.) I FB messaged them but never heard back.

I signed up with the $79 plan without the one free delivery. I figure some years we may use it three times and other years not at all.

I am going to disagree. I have one, but I have not used it as much as I thought I would. I will probably take the stuff home this year. I like the idea of alternating between WDW and DL better than going to WDW every year.

We have two and love them. You receive a text message on your smart phone when they have been delivered and picked up.

Nothing but good things to say about the company and its service.

Do you think it would be worth it for a family that goes down once a year?

We have had an OL for many years, but now that we aren't going to WDW for probably another 2 years, I am wishing we had brought it home the last time we were there a year ago. It is a great service, but now I am stuck paying the yearly fee when I could really use the stuff in the box on other vacations we are going on, like Hawaii and DL. So, the next time we make it to Florida, we will be picking it up to take home.

We generally only go once a year and have had our locker since '09 I think. It's a luxury convenience. Yes I could haul most of that stuff with me every trip because we fly Southwest but I don't want to. The cost is less than the cost of one disney sit down dinner for the four of us so really it's not expensive.
