Owner Lockers

I'd like to hear your experiences with the owner lockers. Dh and I were talking about possibily renting one next trip.

I have been very pleased with mine. It has always arrived before I have. I usually get a text while I am still at the airport saying it has been delivered. When I check out I leave it with luggage services, and usually when I check my email after I get home I have an email saying my locker is back in the ware house. Service is great.

Can't wait to see that sucker in 5 days!

Whenever I see "Owner's Locker" in a thread title, my instinct is to automatically respond with "Do it!" It was an awesome decision to sign up for the service and an even awesomer one to get a second locker. The service is IMPECCABLE and it's such a breeze for us now that so many of our necessities and "nice to have" items are already there and waiting for us.

It is an absolutely wonderful service. Not only is it a great idea but the owners really have 'customer service' as their goal.

For us, since we fly Southwest, we don't get charged the baggage fees (yet!) so it doesn't really save us money. However, the convenience factor is priceless. We pack so much lighter and can have so many items with us that makes DVC feel even more like home.

One more for Owner's Locker. It's so convenient to leave things down in Florida that we don't have to schlep through the airport (and that will be even more of a big deal once we have our baby with us since we'll be doing lots more schlepping with the baby gear

Besides, with baggage fees, I'd say that it makes even more sense to have the locker. JetBlue (our usual carrier) doesn't charge for the first bag, but they do charge for the second one, and it would be pricey round trip to pay that for each of us.

As a bonus, John and Brian are absolutely fantastic. Very flexible and very helpful. Always friendly and always on time.

So, I say go for it!

Once you get one... you wonder how you lived without it!

Seriously, the service is outstanding and the locker is great. And I have tested the service (wrong visit dates, wrong resort, you name it and John just keeps rescuing me from myself! Not on purpose, but there you go....)

(Of course on my last visit, my locker informed me it was at AKL while I was stuck in the dentist chair... BAD LOCKER LOL!)

You will be amazed at how much you can store in a locker.
DH and I love arriving at our 'home' and having our OL waiting for us. We have so many things in our OL that makes our stay more cozy.....like framed pics of our kids and grandkids, that we can place around our 'home'.
We also have flat screen monitors for our laptops because we have work that we must continue while at WDW. We work mornings (thanks to OL), the play from noon on.

I love my locker! And the service is truly excellent. I am someone who likes to be prepared for any exigency so it is hard for me to travel light. Now all my exigency items like aspirin, blister items, band aids, tweezers and cortizone cream, wine openers, wine glasses, a complete set of all toiletries, favorite brand of hair dryer, disney tees and t-shirts I don't wear at home, extra rainsuits, umbrellas, and ponchos, stain removers, beach towels, swimsuit, cover up, lanyards and pins, visors, extension cord, are all waiting for me when I arrive. Oh, bliss.

This is us - when a piece broke of of my son's new Star Wars toy purchased at DHS that day, instead of tears and "let's put it away until we can get home and try to fix it," I just got the Super Glue out of my Owner's Locker and fixed it right then and there.
