I was just guessing that, say, a current OKW owner that just bought BLT or Kidani may be more likely to borrow from their 2009 or 2010 OKW points because they know they will be able to use their new Kidani points after May or new BLT points after Sept..

Yes, the minimum buy-in did drop from 230 to 210, I didn't realize it was as early as 1994, but I do remember it dropping to 210.

It was 230, then 210, then 190, then 150. I'm thinking it was down to 190 by the second half of 2004 when we toured. I suspect someone has the timeline down to let us know.

I'm thinking it was a short period of time in there, somewhere, where there was a 170 or 175 minimum buy-in as well.

Maybe I am just lucky, but for the last 11 years I have never had any real problem getting reservations through DVC. I even got a 1-bedroom at SSR this past April only 3 weeks out. I sure didn't expect for there to be anything available, but after 2 calls I had a reservation. I normally reserve 11 months out. But sometimes I change my mind and move the reservation at 6 or 7 months, usually with no problems. I even got a 1-bedroom at BWV only two months out for the first week of December a couple years ago. But I did have to take my chances and take the days they had open and called back numerous times to piece a whole reservation together for the week. I think that part of the problem with members is that they do not realize that availabilty changes from minute to minute. If a resort is booked, get on the waitlist and call back off and on. You'd be surprised what can happen.
