Hello! My mother and grandmother (she's 98!) are coming to Disney for my wedding this Saturday. I've rented an ECV for my mom (it's an oversize one because of her weight) and a standard wheelchair for my grandmother. They are staying at All Star Music and will use the bus system for most transportation, but the day of the wedding, they need to be at the Swan by 10:15 - while transferring is possible, I think it would be simpler to get an accesible taxi. I remember back in 2007 there was a very nice taxi driver with a minivan that my mom could drive her ecv into. The guy was on the disboards and a huge tinkerbell fan. Does anyone have his contact info? Can most accesible vans carry an oversized ecv, a standard wheelchair and three adults?

We're also planning on going to Chip and Dale's campfire sing a long at ft wilderness one night - I'm planning on us taking the launch from MK to the campground - I'm assuming the launches are accessible, but are they easy to navigate?
Also, once we get to ft wilderness, does it make sense to bus to the campfire or to push my grandmother?

Thanks in advance for the help!

When you say it is oversized, I assume you mean a larger ECV with a higher capacity, but still a standard brand name ECV (except not the "Dream" scooters, they are larger than normal). The heavy duty ECVs are reinforced and thus heavier, and they can't be easily disassembled to fit in a trunk, as some can, but they have the same footprint, which is the determining factor. As an example, at most bus stops at WDW, there is a white box painted on the ground. As long as it fits inside that box, it is within the ADA limits and by law, any venue claiming to be "accessible" must be able to handle it.

The larger size wheelchairs are wider, but typically the user transfers to a usual seat and the wheelchair is folded up. Even if it doesn't fold for some reason, it is unlikely so wide it would have an unaccepatble footprint.

Mears has some accessible vans and taxis. Call them and tell they what you need to transport, and they should be able to provide what you need.
