Can you leave a rental car overnight in any place other than your hotel? A Park, another hotel, downtown disney etc?

I think I remember hearing that the TTC never really closes. But I'm going on nothing other than a vague memory.

I've seen cars parked in the lots for days. You should be fine at a park or DTD for a single evening. There are plenty of people who drink to much at Epcot and take a cab or friend ride home for example. You'll be fine.

How exactly does that work, when you are charged daily for parking at a park if you are not a resort guest? Parking at a resort is only allowed for guests of that resort with the exception of valet parking or for 3 hours for non resort guests who are there to dine or shop. I'm not sure what the current parking regulations are at DS.

Why would anyone want to leave a rental car anywhere overnight other than where they are staying? Obviously getting too drunk to drive would be one reason. But I can't think of another.

I was referring to the parks and DTD not the resorts. Resorts I know they do nightly and daily sweeps of the lots. And the to much to drink is then out common reason. There is also the folks who just catch a ride home with a friend and they'll get there car at the end of the next fun filled day.
