There are a couple of anecdotes from my recent trip that I need to tell. One of them was a conversation I overheard while travelling from MGM to Epcot. A woman and a man talking as we went by the BWVs - the backside with the quiet and main pools and all of the villas (no part of the Inn visible).

He asked: What are those?
She said: That's the BoardWalk Inn, but I think some of them may be the DVC units.
He asked: What are those?
She said: That's the Disney timeshare. They just kind of stick them where ever they have room, like the ones at the Beach Club.
He asked: What are they like?
She said: Well I'm not sure, but I don't think they're very good.

That was it. I was tempted to interject but refrained!

Another one was a conversation between the WWTBAM Host and a lady in Hot Seat. It's the old classic, but since it was a conversation with a CM in front of 600 people, it made it funnier:

Host: So is this your first trip to MGM?
Lady: Yes, it's the first time we've been here.
Host: What other parks have you visited?
Lady: Well, we've been to Disney World many times.
Host: And have you visited other parks this trip?
Lady: Yes, we've been to Disney World.

And I believe he clarified, but it was funny................

Don't you just want to know where they were staying? Before we bought, I'd stayed on site a number of times, but the first time I walked into the BWV, I was flabbergasted. I wouldn't let the family unpack. I thought there was some mistake. Not very nice, stuck wherever there is room. You demonstrated a great deal more restraint than I could have. Heck, I'd have invited them up for coffee...... :rotfl:

All I can say it GOOD!!! Less people competing for prime time reservations in the DVC program!!!! :teeth: No really, I would have found it hard to keep quiet too!

Well, in regards to VWL and BCV I'd probably agree with them. They were add-ons to existing resorts and not exactly "prime" spots when thinking in terms of closeness to resort ammenities.

They are dead wrong when it comes to BWV though. Those mile long hallways were designed from the ground up to be DVC hallways.

kathleena, all I can say is you have more self control than I.
I probably couldn't have kept my yap shut. :teeth:

Thanx for passing along the amusing stories!... :drinking:
