Overdue and Overpacked: POR 9/23-10/1 THE EPILOGUE IS NOW UP ON PAGE 25

Thanks for a great trip report and for the beautiful thoughts in your Epilogue, La La. My little ones got an extra hug today! Looking forward to your next trip report...complete with free dining!

Have a very Yellow day!

I'm subscribing to your trip report. I just started reading to today and I'm only on page 3, not day 3 mind you, page 3. I still have about 24 pages to go and I am looking forward to it. You are absolutely hilarious!!!! :rotfl2:

lalalalalalalalalalalaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I have been saving the epilogue of your trip for when I had time to read it carefully and not skim. SO glad I did.

The way you have brought it home -- the trip report, as well as the message that it all goes by in the blink of an eye, so don't take it for granted --- Well, it's fabulous.

Your daughter and mine are the same age -- and both wear their emotions in their crayons. I'd love for them to meet someday. Your son is an absolute sweetheart, and there is nothing better than watching kids grow and conquer their fears. Your entire family is fun, caring, and loving and that makes your TR a compelling read. Placed in the disparate environments of Disney vs. the storm zone, you all are a reminder of exactly what family means.

The best trip reports (IMHO) are the ones that make us (us readers, y'know?) care about your cast of characters and are so much more than a blow by blow of the rides you went on. You have done that. In a very, very big way.

been reading, with great pleasure, your TR. Since I'm the only DISnut I know personally, these boards are a great source of comfort to me. I AM NOT CRAZY!!! But the picture of the POR (ok, it'll always be DL to me) bus stop did me in. We don't go to WDW often. DH is not a fan and the kids (ok, young adults now) are no help. Last visit was 1999 at DL and THAT WAS OUR BUS STOP  !!! I can still close my eyes and picture the walk to it. Thank you soooo much for bringing that memory back.
wishing you and yours all the best always

You are a goddess. You are the queen of trip reports (Zzub is the king). :worship:

(Disclaimer: No offense intended to Delswife, Vettechick, Mel, horsey, kpk, Princess A or any of my other faves out there. LYMI  )

I, like so many others, feel that I have gotten to know you and your wonderful sense of humor and your beauty (both inside and out) and your love for your fabulous family over the past few months. I, too, hadn't caught on to the fact that you were in Katrina's path. The fact that in all your posts, here and "other" places, you don't make an issue of that unfortunate fact, shows us all what an unselfish, positive person you truly are. I am proud to "know" you. :goodvibes

Now, back to your TR goddessness.... princess: (ok, ok, it's a princess. beggars can't be choosers..) Other trip reports have entertained me, made me laugh, cry and even throw up a little in my mouth, but none has ever combined all those things with the TRUE feeling of being there with you that I got from reading your report (those videos were an amazing touch!!) You have such a talent for helping us all to be "in the moment". It was a wonderful ride. Thanks for sharing. See ya on the 'Strom :wave2:

I LOVED reading your trip report. You know how to use your words, girl! It was like I was there seeing and feeling everything with you and your family . . . truly awesome. I look SO SO SO forward to reading more in the future!

First of all, let me say that for once I am speechless.

Yall are the greatest. You really are.

I have sat here and read each one of your responses and cried and laughed as I read them. I feel like I know some of you personally, even though the only thing I have ever seen of you are the words that you type.

ZZUB, I don't know if you know this or not, but your trip report was the first one I remember ever reading. I printed it out at work and brought it home and DH and I sat around laughing our heads off. Who knew so many people had the exact same thoughts about the invisible strollers and the making with the camcorder and the camera during the character breakfasts. To have you give me not one but two farting decapitated heads on a moped and have you say my T/R was a fastpass, well, you made me completely yellow, my friend.

Horsey, I now understand the levity of the word "gem" to you. Thank you. You are such a sweetheart. I love ya Woman, even though I've never laid eyes on ya. Your children are so lucky to have wound up with a wonderful Mom like you.

Nicolemarie: Yep, we'd so totally hang out and talk about Disney and 88 versus 89. :teeth: I noticed some parallels in our trip reports and I think we'd make fast friends.

skent10: Thanks for the kind words. So sorry about your keyboard. Maybe ZZUB can hook you up with a new one. Apparently he's gone through quite a few as well since February.

Chappie, my late night buddy: I thought your other post had me speechless. You are awesome, Man. I can't tell you how many times I have watched Babe with the kids. That's my favorite line of the whole movie. Thanks. You rock. (((((((((slurp)))))))))))

Sheridac, PP, HaleyB, TinkinaDrink, AshClan, MOMOFMNM, MasterGracie, kpk89, Grammy, GeorgiaA: Yall know I love ya, ya crazy Maelstrom riding people. Thanks for your kind words.

TurnRTheMouse, DJR, fizz13, LogansDad, ead79, CreditMan, JennyMouse, Elle'sBelle, SoccerDogWithEars, ODG, disneykid4ever, pooch, and ALL you other peeps out there that posted. I wish I could send a message back to each one of you individually, but I just want to give yall a great big THANK YOU for reading and posting all the wonderful things that you have.

Yall all make me yellow.

Yep, that would be my honey tryin' to beat the crowds by moving us all out QUICKLY after Wishes. Show's over - nothin' left to see here, people. Let's head out!!

Funny that you noticed his voice - now I'm even MORE glad I didn't include the video clips with MY southern drawl narrating. Better him than me, I say!!

You are so sweet to respond to posts. Maybe I'll get over to my TR and do the same thing. Don't have as many as you, but all the same... :)

Happy Mother's Day!

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your TR!!! I have read the entire thing and laughed a lot. I hope things are getting back to normal for all of you over on the coast.

I know how hard it is to watch your kids "grow up" overnight. I'm so glad that the trip helped get your little ones minds off all the bad things and back where they should be (cotton candy and rainbows...you know ;) )

We leave in 2 weeks and 2 days and I have never anticipated a trip like this one!!! I'll be thinking of you all when we pass through on our way to the Mouse!!!!

LaLa,,Your beautiful epilogue is a story in itself! I love your family, your heart, and how you get Disney. YOU, my dear, are a FastPass!

Jam

Lala hun, wonderful trip report...you make me cry and laugh all at the same time. I'm so glad you are going back!!! I am determined to make my new family understand the importance of being a DISNEY family...my little TJ (soon2bstepson) has got a LaughScream that needs to be shared with the world...

When I am in Fantasyland on my honeymoon in August I WILL get me a Dolewhip, even we are stuffed from Free Dining and I will dedicate it to you!!! Dang that thing better be good from all the threads it owns on the food board...perhaps I'll add a little Parrot Bay from my hip flask...nothing goes better with pineapple than coconut...and alcohol... ;) :rotfl:

you are a gifted writer...thanks for the laughs...I'm sorry it's over! Can't wait for your next one!!!!

Well it took me two days to read the whole thing and I have to say it was worth the time.

I always think I'm going to come home and write a trip report, but never seem to get around to doing it.

Thanks for the laughs, cries and all the Disney fun! :rotfl: :guilty: :woohoo:

I feel lucky! Not only did I find your TR only 2 days ago, so I did not have to sit and wait... and wait... and wait in anticipation for 3 months as you typed your little heart out...leading me on...as I kept my eyes open waiting to discover what the numbers & hatch are for... :surfweb:

BUT seriuosly...You completely touched my heart! Although here I sit miles and miles away from WDW you pulled me down there and let me bring the magic back to my heart through your heartfelt words. Your experiences are so similar to mine, yet we do not know each other. It is just that, that made me realize just how our magical little place in the world can connect us all... How, when you break us all down, we are more alike than not. Just how, when you get the magic, your REALLY GET THE MAGIC! (not everyone is this lucky to truely get it!)

You have a true gift! And I thank you for sharing it with the rest of us DIS'rs. May everyone have that little special place of MAGIC to go to when life brings challenges... Best wishes for your many, many magical adventures in the future! :grouphug:

One word-unbelieveably wonderful. Ok, so that's two words. I stumbled onto your trip report today and read all 28 pages. Your writing style is brilliant. It sucks you in then you just have to find out what is going to happen next. From one southerner to another I can relate to you on so many levels. We also have supper instead of dinner and the hurricane, well that's a story for another day. Count your blessings and hug your kids because we both know how fast your world can turn upside down. Only two more weeks until hurricane season is upon us once again. I'm glad to hear you will be heading back this summer. I anxiously await your next trip report. Happy planning.

Lala, I absolutely LOVED reading your report, especially since we were there the same week you were too!! I am ready to start priming dh for our next trip there......and he agrees......it needs to be sooner than later! Too bad we already planned a vacation for this summer, so we aren't able to take advantage of the free dining again this year.

I honestly think that I see my dh and one of my boys in your picture of TOT at MGM! He is way in the distance in a light blue t-shirt, walking beside a little boy in a white t-shirt. I honestly think we were waiting on the same corner to meet the green ranger as well!

I hope you don't wait as long after your next trip to start the report......this one was just too much fun to read!

That is too cool. It's a small world after all, right?

And then at the Green Rangers corner too? That's pretty cool. Well, cool as long as you weren't PermaScowl. And I know you weren't. Cause you seem really sweet. PermaScowl, not so much.

Nicolemarie: That is funny too. Yep, DH always does the same thing too. As soon as the fireworks are over, he is headed for the exit like a shot.

Jamal: Thanks Woman. Love you too. (((((slap)))))

GrumpysWife, DixiePixie, Princessjv, Savs, and everybody else, THANK YALL SO MUCH for your SWEET comments. I've said it before and I'll say it again...yall's comments are what keeps us trip report writers going. And each of you have touched my heart with your heartfelt words.

YALL are a FASTPASS.

LaLa,

I haven't finished your report yet, but what I have read is wonderful. I find myself quoting you in my head at random times during the day...scary, I know. I can appreciate a funny trip report, and I think this was one of the funniest I've read.

There have been so many GREAT trip reports written lately, but yours is one of my favorites. You are hilarious, girl. :p

Gosh, I hope I wan't Permascowl! LOL That's not really my nature, so I don't think it was. I do remember it being a tad crazy when those Power Rangers showed up. I honestly expected my boys (7 and 6) to be a whole lot more excited than they actually were!! I guess they are "over" the Power Rangers now.

I just keep staring at that picture of the TOT.......I want to be able to zoom in so I can tell what is on the back of what I think is dh's t-shirt! LOL Not that it even matters......but still....it would be pretty cool!
