Overdue and Overpacked: POR 9/23-10/1 THE EPILOGUE IS NOW UP ON PAGE 25

LaLa, I have to say, I was going to the library for a good book to read on vacation, but decided to print your trip report ..After starting it I realized it was much better than anything I may come across randomly at the library. Thanks to you for some fine poolside reading :rotfl2:

Gosh, I hope I wan't Permascowl! LOL That's not really my nature, so I don't think it was. I do remember it being a tad crazy when those Power Rangers showed up. I honestly expected my boys (7 and 6) to be a whole lot more excited than they actually were!! I guess they are "over" the Power Rangers now.

I just keep staring at that picture of the TOT.......I want to be able to zoom in so I can tell what is on the back of what I think is dh's t-shirt! LOL Not that it even matters......but still....it would be pretty cool!

Okay, I tried to resize it and if you have read the trip report, you already know that it would be much easier for me to try to translate ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics than resize a stinkin' photo.

But here it is.

atotshot.png

I cropped it to show just the guy in the light blue shirt. Hopefully that was who you were talking about? Now, all we need is someone who is highly intelligent and resizing savvy to come along and make it bigger for you.

Any takers?

Thanks so much for your sweet comments hucifer and Goofysince71. Glad I could make yall smile. Or laugh. Or maybe even a little of both.

Hucifer, considering the calibur of writers here on the Trip Reports Board, I will take that as the ultimate compliment. Thank you so much.

LaLa, What cd did you buy that has the music from Soarin'? :)

It was the Happiest Celebration on Earth CD. It's a 2 disc set and has not only Soarin but tons of other ride songs. Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, The Country Bear Jamboree, Figment, COP, Beauty and the Bees from Tough to be a Bug, and DS's new favorite, the theme from Test Track.

Yeah, we imagine we're riding Test Track on the way to work every morning. It's great.

LaLa,,,,,because I soooooo identify with you, your humor and outlooks........please,,,,,help me decide my ADR's for my trip in 107 days!!!!!

Okay, no Top 10 Lists here. I feel like there are so many places we haven't been yet that I can't do any kind of list like that. Check out allearsnet.com for a comprehensive list. They have tons of reviews, menus, pics, the whole nine yards.

But I can tell you that we will never go back to Disney without eating at BOMA at least once. It's awesome. We also make it a point to go to Biergarten each trip. We loved Kona Cafe and Le Cellier. Chef Mickey's is great with kids. And if you have a DD, you must take her to eat with Cinderella SOMEWHERE at least once.

Hopefully you're going during the Free Dining promotion. Because as good as those restaurants are, only one thing could make them any better. Laughing hysterically upon being handed the receipt. Don't you agree?

Have a great time and thanks for reading!

I've been a lurker here for a long time but just registered today and I feel like I'm going on a posting free for all!

I really, really liked your trip report! You are an excellent writer!! Your story was so compelling with the hurricane and all. Wow! I really appreciate the time you took to put all this down. How long did it take you?

Thank you again for your words. I'm looking forward to reading more when you come back from your next trip.

I do have a question though. Do you like LeCellier? There's a whole thread about how bad it is over on the restaurant board. I also read another trip report where the guy said it wasn't very good. Just curious for your real opinion.

Welcome JRS.

Thanks for posting and thanks for your kind words. You'll find there are some really great, talented writers here on the Trip Reports Board. Glad you found your way here.

There's no doubt writing a trip report can be very time consuming. But it's worth it when it's all said and done and you can sit back and relive your magical vacation with your family. And if you're lucky enough to have made some really good friends along the way like me, then that's just icing on the cake.

Now, about your question about LeCellier. We really liked it. The food was really good and we thought the atmosphere was great. DH had the ribeye, which he raved about. The kids loved the pretzel bread and we just found it to be all around enjoyable. I highly recommend it.

Thanks again for posting.

OH YEAH, WE ARE ON THE FREE DINING PLAN...CAN YOU IMAGINE,,FREE!!!

We were a little hesitant before our first trip to BOMA. But now it's our official Favorite Disney Restaurant. The zebra domes alone are worth the trip. When I planned our ADRs, DH let me have free reign. The only thing he wanted to know was if I had BOMA in there somewhere. So he's good.

Have a great time on your trip and thanks for the heads up. I'll have to stay away from Home Depot for a while.

Took me a long time to read your Trip Report-slow reader. Thanks for answering people's real questions.-I learn a lot with the questioning and answering sessions you seem to have gotten and thanks for directing other Trip reports on your thread for some of us to read. I surprised I missed some of the other great reports, my wife usually tells me which one to read and I have to listen to the wife right.

I Had To Call Them Just To Hear Their Voices.you Are Right, It Goes Fast...they Are Now 23 And 27!
I Hope For You All Good Things.......peace, Health And Happiness. Your Family Is Blessed And Lucky To Have You,and They Too Are A Blessing.i Pray That Your Neighborhood Be Safe And Sound And Very Very Yellow!! Thank You For The Awesome Insight Into "a Week In The Life Of Lala"

And La La, my friend...

It wasn't just the ceiling fan.

It WAS the wind in your hair.

It WAS magic.

Just as your trip report was.

Magical.

Thank you so much.

Thanks for the ride. A Fastpass at that!

Mel.

LALA what an amazing report. Thank you for sharing. After reading everything, I (like everyone else) feel like I know you. It's because you include so much of your perSUNality in your writing. You enjoy life and it comes through in your writing.
You also made me feel that I was there, and now I can't wait for my turn!
:sunny:

Wow - taking a photo of your ride photo... I never thought of that! Great idea too :)
I am also a laugh/screamer on the coasters - esp BTMR.
Gotta love those CM's too for sorting you out with a food mishap :)

Loving your trip report BTW

LaLa,

Finally finished your report last night. You are an extraordinary writer...engaging, witty, hilarious. I actually cried when you were describing your children's "Dole Whips." I cannot tell you how many times I laughed out loud during the rest of it!

Thank you for taking the time to post this report...believe me, I know what kind of effort it takes to remember everything that happened last September and October! All I have are some dusty notes and a sloppy memory.

I look forward to reading your next report. Thumbs up, girl! :thumbsup2

Wow! One amazing trip report, and the epilogue was just... I'm so sorry that you and your family were affected by Katrina, but so glad that you decided to take this trip to the Happiest Place on Earth - it sounded like it was just what the doctor ordered.

Can't wait to read your next report :)

LaLa,

It was a lucky day that I stumbled (found) your trip report during my DIS browsing.

It was my birthday and my wife had temporarily ungrounded me from the site, (yep, bit too much time on the boards) and thanks to your beautiful report I am likely to get grounded again.

We were at POFQ during the same week so your report brought back tons of terrific memories. Now I not only have the wonderful memories of our trip, but memories of yours as well.

Memories, the most irreplaceable and priceless off all disney souvenirs. Thank you for sharing.

Glad to hear you're going back, hopefully that means we'll get more of the same after your upcoming trip.

I can say all of this without being insanely jealous as we are going back as well. :Pinkbounc 9/23 - 10/1 @ POR!!!! :Pinkbounc
