has anyone paid for weekends using cash and points sun-thurs but at the same time being able to stay in the same accommodation. I have a solution to not having enough points but we can't move once we have checked in due to the amount of medical equipment

As long as the cash & points reservations are for the same room size/view/etc. you should be able to link them so you wouldn't have to move.

thanks Michael,

everything would stay the same just the method if that makes senses. do you think it would be a bit of a hassle though for member services as its a 22 night stay so cash would be for 3 weekends.

trying to get as much info before I phone them as paying for the cash/weekends would save alot of money as our points would go further

It may be a bit of a hassle, but I'm sure they've dealt with simular situations before. Just make sure that you let them know at the beginning of the call what you want to do.

Also, be sure the cash portion is booked through Member Services and that the reservatoins are linked, if you book through Disney Travel/CRO you may have to move.

There are some room categories that are not available for cash (unless they aren't reserved at the last minute on points) - BW view at the BWV, dedicated two bedroom at BCV with two queen beds in the second bedroom, standard view at BWV, HH category at OKW.

Thanks ;)

we are travelling over from Scotland in the UK and the journey is difficult because our son broke his neck in a sporting accident hence we save up our holidays to stay longer so once we are there we are there for a while rather than say short stays more often. it just takes so long to organise all the medical stuff hence me a bit paniced if we did the cash/points and they made us move with such a lot of medical equipment

We are doing this at HHI over spring break...well sorta... we aren't staying that long although I wish I could. We are staying on points for 4 nights and cash for 2. They linked the reservations so we won't have to move. I also recieved 2 confirmations in the mail - one for the points ressie and one for the cash so you will probably recieve 3 for each. With the medical reasons you gave, I am sure if you explained it, MS would do everything possible to make it work for you. I hope you have a wonderful stay!

Let MS know that when you are amking the ressie they will try and help as much as possible. Good luck and have a great trip!

When my mom was alive and I was short points, I used to pay cash for a weekend night at OKW in a 1 bedroom. One night was 48 points vs paying about $325 at the time (with discount). They were always linked, we never had to move or even do another check-in.

We have had several reservations with points and cash. They have never had a problem linking the reservations. Also, when you check in make sure the CM has them linked in the system. All you have to do is go down and get new keys or they will deliver them to your room. Have a great vacation!!
