Ok, here is the deal, I am getting impatient about trying over and over again to get ressies for memorial day...

If I book for just the weekend, it is sold out, however, if I book for the week prior and include the weekend, it will let me have it. Anyone overbook and then change their ressies at a later date? I would love to stay the week, however, that is the week before school gets out and my principal would give me the boot if I tried some craziness like that. Just wondering...

I'm encountering the same thing for Halloween. It won't let me have just the w/e, but it will let me have 10/31-11/6.... I might just have to take Ben out of school for the next week & go!!:rotfl:

i should have done it when i saw it because now all i can get is a partial site, which won't work with a class a...i am so bummed, i will keep trying again and again though...

Hello, my name is Tony and I am an Overbooker. I only do it when I really need a site. I can stop at any time. :rolleyes1 Wow, I am feeling the urge to make a reservation right now...................gotta go.

I feel so guilty doing it, however, I have decided that there is no option BUT to go Memorial Day Weekend and by golly, I am going and totin' along the boys!

I didn't book the week prior to arrival but I did book extra days at the end of our trip in order to get a reservation. We left before the reservation said we were and Disney credited us back those days we paid for.

So did you leave the full reservation on the books, then just leave before the scheduled date? I would have thought there would be a penalty for that? I have always been careful to cancel any extra days a week before arrival to avoid the fee.

If you check out early on a room-only reservation, there is no penalty. Now if it's a package, that's a different story.

I've had to leave a day early on a couple of occasions, and there was never a problem with them crediting the last day back.

That is great that they'll let you leave early & credit you back the $$. :cool1: Most (ie--ALL) of the campgrounds that we have been too, if you had to leave early, forget it. They've got your money & that's it. Fortunately, we haven't had to leave early for any of our trips!

Sssshhhhh! Many times we have overbooked and then called back early the next morning to drop the extra days.

AuburnJen,

We've done this too so don't let it get to you. Now with the day-by-day pricing policy of the Fort for its sites, the daily rates you would pay won't change. We did it in the past to check on the last day of Value season (as an example) and let it extend into Peak times as well.

The system should be used to your advantage as long as you play "within the rules". If it's not immoral, illegal, or fattening, then it's probably okay! :yay:

I've done it a few times. It's a PITA because it's a game Disney plays. I got my Thanksgiving ressies this year by putting in like 2 weeks. I actually booked 08 TG weekend before our 07 TG Weekend trip. I can't understand why they make it so hard. It took me hours of putting in different scenarios. I cancelled the days I didn't want later.

I understand the PITA part. It has taken me a week of off and on with the website to get a full hook-up site for any amount of days. It just stinks because of all the hassle you end up going through just to get a weekend.
