We've done plenty of split stays and plenty of non-split stays. Split stays are fun, but the trip does feel different.
The first and most important piece of advice I give any peers contemplating their first trip is this: you'll never do it all. If you try/expect to, you'll be disappointed. If, however, you focus on a few things to do, you'll have a delightful trip and enjoy many bonus experiences along the way.
How does that apply here? It sure feels like you're biting off a lot to me. You could pull it off and love it...or you could find yourself feeling completely wiped out by the end of your trip. I'm partial to having time for relaxation.
