Over the River and Through the Woods to Mickey's House We Go! And Grandma is in Tow!

I'm so glad Lacey got good news during her doctor's visit. :):):)

Maybe your mama won't think we're too crazy..........:rolleyes1 I'm with Mary, maybe she'll just thing we crazy fun! :thumbsup2

That is great news about Lacey!!! Glad all of the prayers are working!

I too don't care for the smell of the Fish n Chips! However, it could just be me because I hate any kind of seafood! Would love to go to a Dismeet one day, they do sound like a lot of fun! Well, can't wait to read more!! :surfweb:

I completely understand about the tests Lisa. I think with everyone watching her, she'll be fine.

I know what you mean about the DIS Meets. Some people look at me like it's the strangest thing to meet people who you've never actually met. I just tell them that's the point! So you can meet the people you've been chatting with.

Mmmm. Fish and chips! I'm one of those people that enjoy the smell. Yummy!

I am so glad to hear that everything is good with Lacey :thumbsup2. I do not blame you for not having the extra tests done. I totally agree that if she has more symptoms then have the testing done. A few years back I was having chest pains and palpitations. They put me through all kinds of tests and lab work, an overnight stay in the hospital, wearing a monitor at home and all to tell me I drink too many diet Cokes. The bill came out to be thousands, and even though I have insurance, it still cost me hundreds.

Great update on your PTR too:thumbsup2. I am so excited that our trips are coming up so soon. I have 54 days left :yay::woohoo:.

Too many Diet Cokes? How weird is that? To think that you had to spend so much money to find out it was something so simple. Lacey had pressure build up behind her eyes one time (we didn't know it, they just found it during a routine eye exam to renew her contact prescription). They told her to cut back on carbonated drinks.

I am about to bust to get to Disney! The last week or so has been the pits!

Yay fpr a good visit with the cardiologist. I totally agree with you about the extra tests!
Yay for the Epcot day! Sounds like what we will be doing after I get Hubby a few :drinking1 to chill him out before the meet!
Hope your Mom thinks we are fun in real life and not crazy. Well, how about crazy fun??

I couldn't have been happier about the earlier test results. We are just going to hold off on the "just in case" tests for now.

John totally gets the Dis Meet 'cause I talk about ya'll all the time. Mama just thinks it's strange but she's coming around.

Me too!

Mama is finally coming to understand about the Disboards and all of us chatting. I think it's mostly because she's not on the computer and doesn't really "get" how our chats work.

I am so very thankful for all the prayers!

The fish and chips just smell funky to me. I hate even walking by there. I don't mind the smell of fish cooking around here but the ones they cook at Epcot smell so bad.

I'm looking forward to the Dis Meet! I've never participated in one.

I think Lacey will be okay. If we hadn't had two doctors tell her that everything was normal, then I'd want more tests. Oh, she definitely has lots of people watching her. She has all of her fellow Mission students as well as two sets of Mission parents watching over her.

I told my boss about the Dis Meet and he just looked at me with the weirdest expression. He thinks it's just plain ole crazy. I think it's just plain ole cool!

You can have all of the fish and chips smell that I don't sniff.:thumbsup2

Good morning everybody! One deadline down....one to go. We got an extension on one of them so I had an extra day to do it.

I do want to tell ya'll about our lazy weekend but will have to do it a little later. Right now, I'm going to try and catch up on my Dis subscriptions before the boss gets here. Shhhhhhhh!;)

I bet Martina was fabulous. I can't imagine that she could have been any other way. I love her! Were you allowed to take pictures? If so, post 'em here for us to see.

The only pic I was able to get (and it is not very clear):

:goodvibes I'm so glad to hear about your good Lacey news!

I can't wait for the DisMeet either! The kids are a little wary of it, but at least they know about the DIS. They probably just don't want it taking up too much of theirDisney time!

That's such great news about Lacey!!!:thumbsup2 Definitely agree about the extra tests!!

Oohh...your Epcot plans sound good so far!!:goodvibes

Yay for Lacey being okay! :cool1: So glad to hear it doesn't appear to be anything unusual. I wouldn't do the other tests without additional issues either. With two docs saying all looks good, I'd go with it.

Great update too! I'm excited for our DIS meet. My kids love meeting the kids of other DISers. They are expecting it this year! :goodvibes

We were very very happy with the latest doctor's news!

Hunter doesn't meet a stranger so he's good with the meet but he doesn't want it to take too much of his Disney time either.

We will just hold off and see if she has any other symptoms. If not, the tests won't be happening any time soon.

I love Epcot! And, I am super excited about the Dis Meet!

It's really weird because my niece (who is like a sister to Lacey since they are just a few months apart in age) was diagnosed with sinus arrythmia a couple of months ago. They put her through the same battery of tests and then were told that it's just something she'll live with. So, we aren't going to do anything else unless she starts feeling ill again.

Hunter is excited about meeting everybody so long as it doesn't take him away from Disney too terribly long. I can't say that I blame him on that one.

So I still have that one deadline looming over my head. I hate it when bosses put things off 'til the last minute. It's been sitting on his desk since early this morning. I highlighted the few questions that I had so he wouldn't even have to go through the whole thing. I just had to remind him that the deadline to submit the paperwork is today and that he needed to call the client. Bosses! Wait, make that Men Bosses!:lmao:

Yep too many diet Cokes :rolleyes1. Now to be fair to the doctor, I do drink about 6 or 7 a day:eek:. All the caffeine causing my heart to race.

I know what you mean about getting to Disney, it can't get here soon enough.

Good Lord have mercy! 6 to 7 Diet Cokes a day. No wonder you're always on the lookout for a potty!:rotfl: You know I'm just kidding ya!

:cheer2: YEA! Lacey !!! funny you don't want the test and I wanted them to do the echo cardigram on Dayne and the doc did not see a reason for it...but, I don't blame you one bit for putting it on the back burner; hopefully she was just over tired and under fed and won't have another time to find out! :thumbsup2

:mickeyjum for the dis meet :mickeyjum I can't wait to see the pictures! I'm so jealous...maybe I'll win the lottery and can magically appear :rotfl: (gotta play first:confused3 )

Have a great day! happy to hear you had a small reprieve on one of your deadlines

:wave2:

Can't wait to hear about the Dis Meet!

I just got tickets to Disney Live! Rockin Road Show today. I'm so excited its my little disney fix. We go Sunday after Easter:goodvibes

I don't blame you for not getting more tests done- sometimes I think doctors aren't happy until they pinch every last penny out of you! :rotfl:
Oh- and I DEFINITELY agree on the stinky fish & chips.
When is the Dis meet??? I might try to book something short & last-minute if I can make it work.

From what the cardiologist told Lacey, the tests were "just in case" so I didn't see any real need for them. He also said that she, obviously, had some other illness at the time she passed out because her throught was extremely sore and her head hurt real bad.

I always tell John we need to buy a lottery ticket and we never do. I guess I need to quit saying "when I win the lottery". Doesn't make too much sense when I never even buy a ticket.

I wish there would be some Disney something going on around here. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live on Stage did come about 2 months ago but there was no talking Hunter into going. I mean...he is a pre-teen after all.;)

It wouldn't surprise me at all if the doctor had an ownership interest in the facility in which the tests were to be run. A lot of our local doctors go in together to open clinics and testing facilities.

I hate that Rose & Crown stinky fish smell. Makes me want to hold my breath as I walk past it.

Are you kidding me? I would absolutely love it if you could make a last minute trip to WDW! We are meeting in France at Epcot on May 28, 2010 at 2:30 p.m.

My office computer is still giving me fits. Now, it shuts down multiple times a day all by itself. I could handle that if it would backup whatever it was that I was working on. However, it's not doing backups. Meaning, I have to type a little, save it, type a little more, save it. I've only typed three or four things today. Right now, I have my office laptop out. I haven't used it in at least a year. And, guess what? It won't let me save anything.

The computer guy was supposed to come by today. I didn't figure he would but a girl can wish can't she?

I think I'll blame all my troubles on the ghosts that inhabit this office we are in. For those of you who didn't read my Stop Making Me Laugh trip report, our law office is located in part of the downstars of what used to be an old hotel. All of the upstairs is vacant but is home to what I believe are ghosts.

There's always something missing or something put somewhere that I know good and well it wasn't before. I often smell cigarette smoke and there's nobody here but my boss and I. Neither one of us smoke.

We have doors that open and close or lock and unlock by themselves. We have a door that separates our office from a semi-empty suite next door. My boss' parents two cats have free reign over that suite and sometimes, even when the connecting door is locked, we find that the cats have made their way over to our office through an open door that was previously closed and locked.

Just the other day, I actually heard somebody mumble over my shoulder "hey you". I thought maybe somebody had come in the front door and I hadn't heard them. But, there was nobody here but me. The boss wasn't even here.

I haven't gotten scared too badly yet since the ghost(s) haven't done anything to me personally. I think the only time I really got spooked was when my boss' chair started turning all by itself. Nobody in his office but me and I was standing at the fax machine. That kinda took my breath away.

Anyway, I didn't mean to go off on a ghost tale.

Let's see, I don't remember if I told ya'll about the two Vera Bradley hipsters I bought a couple of weeks ago. I might have but I might not have. Either way, with as many Vera Bradley addicts that I have on my report, I know ya'll won't mind if I say it again. I bought a cupcake pink hipster for just $19 and a puccini hipster for just $19. Oh, and I bought a cupcake pink zippered ID holder for, I think, $5 or maybe $6. I'm keeping the two cupcake pink items and Lacey's getting the puccini for her birthday. You would know that right after I bought them, somebody posted on the Disboards that you could get an additional 20% off. Just my luck!

This past weekend, we didn't do too terribly much. I went on the hunt for the ever illusive tan shirt to go with a pair of shorts I already have. Did I find the shirt? No! But, I did find a really cute ULM Warhawks shirt (our local university) and an LSU shirt for Hunter. I bought one more thing but I can't remember what it was. Wait...I remember, it was a pair of gray shorts. All three items were just $16.00. Love love love clearance racks!

Mama and I also went to Wal-Mart so she could pick up a couple of things. Ya'll know you can't go to Wal-Mart and just get a couple of things. We bought all sorts of stuff. Including a cute little hipstery looking bag for Mama. She didn't tell me she was looking for another purse to carry. If she had, I would have ordered her a Vera Bradley. The one that she got at Wal-Mart is really cute and about the same size as a hipster. Probably a little smaller but the design is similar. The best part was it cost just $14.00.

Mama has been joking to her sister that by the time she gets everything bought to go on the trip, she won't have any money to actually spend in Disney.

While Mama and I were in town, John and Hunter worked in the yard. Spring has sprung big time at our house! Everything is green or maybe I should say green and yellow. Pollen yellow! When I say everything is yellow I mean everything.....the bbq grill, our porch swing, our bench, the cars, just everything. All of us have been sniffing and snotting for about a week now.

John and I wanted to go out and eat. Hunter wanted to stay with his Mamaw so he wouldn't miss the Kids' Choice Awards. Priorities you know. John and I went to Applebee's. We hadn't been there is over a year. We ordered their new appetizer trio plate and it was soooo good. The wonton tacos are to die for. After we ate, we did what other kidless parents do......we went to Sam's Club, the Dollar Tree and Wal-Mart. Are we partiers or what?

We are thinking about heading to Canton, Texas this Friday. They have a hummmmmmmmongous flea market there. You could easily spend at least three days there and not see it all. I've got Spring Fever really bad and feel the need to go somewhere. Since I can't go to Disney, I guess Canton is the next best thing. It's a long drive from here....several hours but I need to get out of the house. Housework can wait!

We actually thought about making the 9 hour drive to see Lacey over the three day weekend. But, she is in Tennessee until sometime Friday. They have practice on Saturday for a drama they are doing Easter Sunday at church. Meaning, we would only have a few hours to see her before we would have to head home Sunday after church. Guess I'll have to wait until she comes home in May to see my baby.

Did I tell ya'll that her Mission students and the people at church have given her the nickname "Flutter" to go along with her fluttering heart?

I almost forgot to mention that the homemade laundry detergent is working really well. Even though our water still stinks (literally, we have the worst darn water around here), our clothes don't. I even tried using it in our dishwasher and my dishes came out really clean. It's definitely a multi purpose detergent for sure.

Goshlee, I can tell I haven't really had time to just sit down and type out much lately 'cause I just went on and one didn't I. I'll sign off for now since I need to clean off my desk and start shutting things down around here. Hope everybody has a good night. I'll be flipping channels tonight between American Idol and America's Next Top Model. AND printing out labels for my ebay packages.
