Over the River and Through the Woods to Mickey's House We Go! And Grandma is in Tow!

Hi! Lisa
great news all around
:yay: on the chest xray :yay:
 on the computer  on FB I had heard about virus's linked in PM's sent on behalf of your friends through videos...so, I rarely open any...in fact I had the other day about 15 PM's from one friend w/ a bunch of different you tube videos...I also stopped copying and pasting from friends. Someone said that sometimes that is linked with a virus (from the orginal poster)...so, I really just use FB the same as I do here to talk, share pictures, and thats about it. Hoping to stay safe that way!
:wave2:

:cheer2: for Lacey's health and the computer issues being fixed!!

My DH is an IT guy as a profession, and is therefore by default the IT guy for all of our family. He had his grandfather's computer here last fall to work on it. He had a hunch, opened it up, and....the amount of dust and CAT HAIR in it was absolutely disgusting! :crazy2: He actually took a picture of it, but I don't really think you'd want to see it. The computer ran a lot better after he cleaned it out. So I can see why yours is back up now. But seriously, who in the world would think about (or be able to) take a computer apart just to clean it???? :confused3 There are benefits to being married to an IT nerd!

So glad to hear about Lacey's test results :yay:. I've been "lurking" along quietly and just wanted to drop you a quick note.

YAY!! I'm so glad that Lacey's chest x-ray came out good!!!:thumbsup2

UGH! A virus!!:sad2: I'm glad everything was able to be restored...whew!!!:goodvibes

Glad you got your computer fixed Lisa. I'm so happy to hear that Lacey's x-ray looks good. We'll keep praying that the cardiologist visit goes well also!

Can't wait to see some more of those plans girl! popcorn::

I am as happy as a pig lying in the mud in the sunshine! I just love your sayings! Yay for Lacey and the computer!! That would have been a TON of work ! Now you can back to Dising!!

Glad Lacey's x-rays looked ok. Hope the visit with the cardiologist turns out well, too. :)

I would like to be like a "pig lying in the mud in the sunshine". I came home from sunny Florida to overcast, rainy skies, with some tornados last evening. YUCK!

Hi Lisa! I'm glad the computer issues are resolved. Sometimes technology is a big pain in the booty!

I'm so happy that Lacey's tests turned out so well! What a relief! :goodvibes

You have good news all the way around . I know you are happy about the computer being repaired. I can imagine how frustrating it would have been to try and put all that information on a new one. The best news though is that Lacey's chest x-ray was good :cool1::yay::woohoo:.

You might've gotten it from here? Did you hear how they have blocked some tickers now on Dis because the site they are from is full of virus and worms. I forget which one but there is a thread explaining why peoples tickers are no longer showing up from that site.
Glad to hear all is good with Lacy!

Good morning all,

I hope that everybody had a good weekend.

I'm gonna get an updated posted here in a little while. That's my main mission for today. Wait....I'm at work aren't I? So, I guess my main mission is to get these two deadlines off my desk and then write an update. You know, the boss does pay me to met deadlines and the Disboards don't. Anyway, I'll be back in a bit to tell you guys about my weekend and to post more Epcot plans.

See ya after while!

I wanted to update you guys on Lacey's medical situation. She went to the cardiologist this morning. He looked at the EKG and the chest x-ray and then did a thorough examination. He said that it wasn't unusual for young women her age to have arrythmia. He also said it didn't seem to be anything life threatening. And then......dun, dun, dun (that's doom and gloom music:lmao:), he told her he'd like to run at least three more tests just in case.

Well, just in case ain't happening. I don't want ya'll to think that I am a bad mother and that I don't care enough to get the testing done. It's just that we've already had a crapload of tests done and now two doctors tell us that it's nothing serious.

I think we are going to sit back a while and make sure that she continues to feel "normal". If she does experience anything like she did before, we schedule the tests.

I thank all of you for your prayers. I love that the Disboards have brought me such special friends.

Lisa, this is good news!!! :thumbsup2

And I don't blame you for not wanting to do the tests. I think these doctors just do this to make more darn money! Lacey and you know her best...just keep an eye on her for the next couple of weeks. Is she coming home for Easter?

Oh, and by the way, your "namesake" -- Martina -- she was FABULOUS last night. :)

Now that it's been officially decided that the MAYhem with the Mouse Dis Meet with take place at 2:30 p.m. in France, I am pretty sure that once we have eaten at Electric Umbrella, we'll start walking "around the world". I'm not sure if we'll go right towards Canada or left towards Mexico.

For the sake of this update, let's pretend that we go right towards Canada. First, we'll probably stop and take a picture of two like we did last trip:

If we have time, we'll probably duck into the store and see what kind of Canadian goodies we can find.

Then, we'll move on past the stinky fish and chips place in United Kingdom. Some of ya'll might like that smell but to us it just downright stinks!
Depending on what time it is, we may or may not stop and look around in the United Kingdom. Last time, the kids did the Kim Possible Mission while John and I sat on our booties outside the store at International Gateway and watched this little guy:

I can't tell you guys how excited I am about the Dis Meet. :woohoo: I've read and seen pictures of them but I haven't ever participated in one!

My mother doesn't really understand the Disboards too much. Actually, she doesn't even own a computer so she doesn't understand the internet too much either. So, I'm doing my best to make her "get it" that it's perfectly alright to talk with strangers on the internet, to post pictures of my family on the internet and to meet up with these "strangers" at Walt Disney World. When you type it out, it does sound a little odd but to me, it sounds "normal". Ummmm, maybe that's not the right way to put it 'cause I've never been accused of being "normal".:lmao:

I know this update is short but it's all I have time to post. I'm also afraid to make it too lengthy because every since my office computer got the virus, it shuts down by itself at least two or three times a day and I would hate for it to shut down in the middle of my update. Sounds like we are going to end up getting a brand new computer.:sad2:

Lisa, this is good news!!! :thumbsup2

And I don't blame you for not wanting to do the tests. I think these doctors just do this to make more darn money! Lacey and you know her best...just keep an eye on her for the next couple of weeks. Is she coming home for Easter?

Oh, and by the way, your "namesake" -- Martina -- she was FABULOUS last night. :)

I couldn't have been happier with the news! Lacey said the echocardiogram that he wanted to do was $700.00. He also wanted to do a stress test and another test that he had no idea of the cost.

I don't know how it is in Georgia but around here most of the doctors actually own part of the hospitals and clinics that run the tests. Meaning, they get a cut off each test. It's such a racket!

Lacey doesn't want to do the tests and she knows how she feels. She wants to just hold off and wait and see how she feels.

I bet Martina was fabulous. I can't imagine that she could have been any other way. I love her! Were you allowed to take pictures? If so, post 'em here for us to see.

I am so glad to hear that everything is good with Lacey :thumbsup2. I do not blame you for not having the extra tests done. I totally agree that if she has more symptoms then have the testing done. A few years back I was having chest pains and palpitations. They put me through all kinds of tests and lab work, an overnight stay in the hospital, wearing a monitor at home and all to tell me I drink too many diet Cokes. The bill came out to be thousands, and even though I have insurance, it still cost me hundreds.

Great update on your PTR too:thumbsup2. I am so excited that our trips are coming up so soon. I have 54 days left :yay::woohoo:.

Yay fpr a good visit with the cardiologist. I totally agree with you about the extra tests!
Yay for the Epcot day! Sounds like what we will be doing after I get Hubby a few :drinking1 to chill him out before the meet!
Hope your Mom thinks we are fun in real life and not crazy. Well, how about crazy fun??
