Over the River and Through the Woods to Mickey's House We Go! And Grandma is in Tow!

Great shopping finds! I think I need to go shopping with you...I never find deals like that!

Sorry about the migraine. I don't get them, but several of my family members do and they're certainly no fun. I'm glad you're feeling better! :goodvibes

I'm sure you are worried sick about Lacey. It's about 10:22 so I'm going to say a little prayer right now that her doctor's appointment goes well and that it's nothing serious or scary. Keep us posted.

I just sent a prayer up for Lacey!I pray it was just the eating and sleep that got the best of her! Please keep us updated!!!

I would have never thought to superglue a tooth!! and I am so surprised that it stayed in the whole time! Did you have to add more glue through the week??

Oh how scary about Lacey! I sure hope she's feeling better today and that what ever it was, was related to the lack of food & sleep. Poor thing. Sounds like Jesse was pretty scared too.

I hope your headache is better too, as a Migraine/severe allergy sufferer I can relate... :headache:

Big gentle hugs to all of you.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers. I am a firm believer that they work.

I spoke with Lacey last night. She said she was feeling better but still really tired. It sounds like she fainted when she got up to answer the door when Jesse came to check on her. Scares me to death to know that happened to her.

I just got a call from Jesse who is at the doctor's office with Lacey. They are filling out paperwork and waiting to see the doctor.

We lost our insurance when I changed jobs and I can't find anybody who will cover John since he has epilepsy. They won't even write a policy and put a rider on his epilepsy. It's sad that I've been trying for almost two years now to get insurance and it hasn't happened yet.

My stomach is in knots wondering what's wrong with my baby. It's not like I can just hop in the car and go there to comfort her. That's one of the things I hate about her living so far away.

The migraine was getting better until I got the call from Lacey. Now, it's back full force and will probably stick around until I now for sure what's wrong with Lacey.

Again, I thank all my Dis friends for their prayers.:grouphug:

Prayers are continuing. I am so sorry about the insurance situation...that is very sad and so wrong in so many ways.

I hope your migraine gets better and Lacey gets good news this morning.

We've applied with at least four different insurance companies and all have turned us down. What makes it so frustrating is the fact that John's epilepsy is covered under a worker's compensation policy and has been since 1995. The compensation policy pays for his epilepsy treatment 100% so there's no reason whatsoever that the new policy would have to pay for anything epilepsy related.

The last insurance agent I spoke with (who I trust because he's a family friend) said to wait a year and reapply. Our year is supposed to be up in about 3 months. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we can get coverage. At this point, I would take any coverage. I don't care if it's super crappy coverage. I just want something that would keep us from getting turned away from the hospital in case of emergency.

Lisa, they CANNOT turn you away at the hospital in case of an emergency. And if they did you could have a huge case for a lawsuit. My brother was worried about this as well because he has no job and no insurance as you know. They cannot turn anyone away.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

I almost forgot to wish everybody Happy St. Patrick's Day. I hope you've all got green on or else I'll give you a through the screen pinch. :rotfl: Remember back in school when you would get pinched if you forgot to wear green? Ouch!

Last night, I was checking out the items I was watching on ebay. I was watching a couple of Vera Bradley hipsters. Just before placing a bid, I decided to check out the Vera Bradley site and see what they had on sale. Earlier this week, they had some of the colors on sale. Several were just $33.00 (normally $56.00). Imagine my surprise when I saw that a lot of the hipster colors were now $19.00! Forget about ebay, I ordered directly through Vera Bradley.

I bought Lacey a puccini (spelling?) hipster, a cupcake pink hipster and a cupcake pink clip zip id holder for myself. I started to order something else so I could get my total up to $75.00 in order to get free shipping but I restrained myself and didn't. My total for the three items with shipping and tax was less than what one hipster would have cost had it not been on sale.

I know they can't turn us away but they can just fix the emergency and send us on to a charity hospital. I don't want that either.

Hi Lisa! I said a prayer a moment ago for Lacey and the rest of you. I hope this is just exhaustion catching up with her. I will continue to pray for her until we hear back.

Congrats on the VB purchases! I still haven't broke down and ordered my backpack yet....I feel it acomin' though. :goodvibes

Thanks for the prayer!

I couldn't believe the price on the hipster. The last time I looked on their site, the sale price was $33.00.

Gosh, Lisa, you've been through the ringer the past few days, huh?

I'm so sorry to hear about Lacey's health issues. You and she are all in my prayers. It's so scary when our babies are sick & we can't help them, I know. Her being so far away must make it so much worse. Here's another . I hope they find that she was nothing more than just overtired and underfed.

Migraines are a b***h! I haven't gotten a full blown migraine in awhile, but I used to get them so bad that any movement would cause me to throw up & I also couldn't see. I'm hoping yours gets under control quickly. Have you tried accupressure yet? I know some people think that stuff is just woo-woo, but I use a ton of alternative therapies to get through cancer pain, etc., and I can attest that accupressure does work. If you want to know the steps for migraine relief, just let me know.

BTW, how's the eye? Still looking like a heavy weight contender?

It sounds like you scored with the Vera Bradley bags! :thumbsup2

Keep us updated on Lacey & in the meantime, just remember to take nice deep breaths & think magical Disney thoughts.

Slainte! Happy St. Patrick's Day to you, too. ::yes:: I've got the green on - like any good Irish girl would on this great day. :shamrock:

I hope the news in good for your daughter,

what do you take for your migrains?
DH gets them and they would last for days he was taking migranol it was great no after effects, he hates feeling groggy so he wouldn't take any other meds, and migranol works with in 15-30 minutes
but a Dr told him to try taking 2 reg strength liquid advil and biting them (they taste gross) but that works way better for him he also told him to down a big gatorade with them

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

Uhhhh, yeah.....I teach school, so I still get pinched, or at least they try!

:thumbsup2 We have hipsters in both those patterns!

Lisa, I'm praying everything is ok with Lacey. I hope you hear some good news from her doctor's visit soon.

Happy St Patty's Day to you and to everyone else here!!

Sorry bout Lacey, keeping her in my prayers that everything is alright and im pretty sure she`ll be fine, always think positive:)

Again, thanks so very much for the prayers for Lacey.

Jesse called around 12:15 and said they had finally finished up at the doctor's office. They were standing in line to pay and they needed my Mastercard number. He gave me a short rundown of what the doctor thought was wrong with her.

Lacey called back once they left the doctor's office and gave me the total. $894.60! Holy snikes! That was the price after the 30% cash discount.

Lacey has been diagnosed with sinus arrythmia which the doctor said was pretty normal in women her age. The doctor did an EKG there in the office. Arrythmia runs in our family. My dad had an irregular heartbeat as do I. A couple people on John's side of the family have it as well.

He did a lot of blood work and said he wouldn't be surprised if her blood work came back saying she was anemic. She has all of the symptoms. He tested her for mono and also said she sounded like she had the flu.

All of the test results are supposed to be in by Friday but I'm not betting on it. I've come to realize that waiting on test results is like waiting on a legal paperwork to come back from the Judge's office.

So, I guess I am a little relieved but won't be completely relieved until the tests results are back good.

I'm glad you at least got some answers. I'll keep Lacey in my prayers.

That's a WHOPPING doctor bill! :scared1:

I'm relieved but won't be fully relieved until we get the results. The doctor bill made my headache even worse!

By the way, if you go to the Vera Bradley site, I heard that you can use one of two coupons....save20sale or mcsave17. I didn't read about the coupons until I had already ordered. Wouldn't you know it!

Wow Lisa! I just got caught up and I'm going right now to say a prayer for Lacey! I hope they are able to determine what caused her to faint and that she feels better soon!
