Over the river and through the FUN!

MeMom:
I changed my ticker. We're going in 2010 now. Not sure what dates yet but definitely probably late Jan to early Feb (as long as we are still in the value season) Either way, its still under a year away!:cool1:  :woohoo:

Edited to add: How old was brooklyn her first time on Goofys Barnstormer?? Was it just this past summer...maybe 2?? Caleb will be 16 mos and I don't know if that will be too young or not?? Before my trip I'll have to go back and read your prior trip reports since Brooklyn was probably at least 16 mos during one of those trips.

all caught up.

sounds like you had a great time.

Love the pics.

I don't run either for a ride, but I do walk faster. :lmao:

Thanks for the compliment on the new picture MeMom. We're working on growing into a family of six. Slowly but surely. ;)

I love the new photos! We're staying at Music in November so I especially loved seeing those. I agree, I will never run to a ride. Like you said, a brisk walk? Yes. Running like a fool and possibly running over small children? Um, no thank you.

I love that you wake up early and get us all such great shots of your resorts. It's nice seeing them not filled to the brim with people.

I've been known to run for a bus  or a boat :upsidedow or a bathroom ;) but rarely a ride!

Nice updates MeMom....I like the pics of ASMo food court, the camera's were my favorite part!

Love all the ASMo pictures, MeMom! Even though the All-Stars are "value" resorts I think they're still perfect. Yes, I would like to stay at a moderate or deluxe but right now, values are still fine for me. Can't wait to hear about your day at DHS! :goodvibes

Brooklynn's first time on Barnstormer was July 4th of last year so she was 23 months. The only reason she got to ride that young was because her hairbows skimmed the bottom of the height requirement. She was not tempted to ride it again during our summer trip and entertained the thought only briefly in October. However, she did ask to ride it in November (we didn't because the line was too long.) I plan on letting her try again this summer and seeing how she does. I'll let Memom sit in front of us again so we can see her true expression.

Chef Mickey's looks yummy. I have wanted to eat there but haven't done it yet.

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

The diva pic is really cute too!

Hey tomorrow is my birthday!!
No wait....this is February

Hi! I am back!
Did you get those zebra domes I emailed ya?????:rotfl2: We had a great weekend and the weather was bright and warm and beautiful. The other dissers were delightful. I will tell ya all about it in my quick trip report.

So, what fun you all had at Chef Mickeys! The characters must really love how lovable and unafraid Brooklyn is with them. I am sure they get all kinds of reactions from kids. Love all of the shopping pics of course. I didn't take any myself but I soaked it all in visually.

Well, I think I saw a pic of the baby via ultrasound....how cool is that!!! Glad to see everyone is doing fine!

OK, I am off to try to catch up on things! Bye for now! :wizard:

I think a bunch of postal workers must have figured out what they were and got to them before I did. I can't say that I blame them. They are good enough that they are worth committing a 'tampering with the mail' federal offense over, I guess. :)

I'm so glad you got to go and have a good time with friends. I am still hoping my friend trip pans out for March. We're both teetering on not going, but we both want to and need to. Let us know when you start your report so that we don't miss it.

All Star Movies food court looks really cool! And I agree with you - I never run for an attraction. ;)

That food court does look cool with all the theater lights and other movie themed stuff. It looks good in pictures, which is nice for those who are thinking of staying there.

I admit to doing the Soarin' trot as well as my lame leg will let me sometimes, but it's well within the walking category, I can assure you.

We had a blast on the dad/daughter trip! Im planning a pre-trip report probably after AP rates are announced (hopefully next week) so we know what resort we are staying at! Made our ADRs already (most of them) so things are looking good! We leave May 9th, I can't wait!

I'm glad you had a great trip. I'm sure your dad very much enjoyed spending time with you doing fun things. I wish we were only a few hours away. I'd be happy to go more often without so many travel expenses.

I'm all caught up. I always love your early morning stroll pictures. The ASMo stroll brought back many great memories; that was our very first trip.

Hey check out my new signature!

I well remember your Movies pictures. That's when I first 'met' your cute little Declan through all of your great pictures.

I love your new countdown! :cool1:

"That Darn Cat" was one of my favorites when I was growing up. They showed it on tv one day and we recorded. My brother and I use to be able to recite the movie.

That Darn Cat - that was back in my day!

My kids are movie reciters, as well. Brooklynn can already give you a run for your money on several of them, too. Disney movies are addictive!

All Star Movies looks like a lot of fun. I think that will be the next All Stars I stay at after my stay at All Star Music.

Love your Brown Derby shots, they look so peaceful but then you see the madness of the dash to TSM. :rotfl:

The rooms are in need of fresh paint and bedding, but I guess they'll be next. The outdoor icons are true Disney through and through, though. You'll like them. When you're at Music, just walk across the parking lot and take a peek.

Less than a year is good.

Brooklynn's ride on the Barnstormer traumatized me.
Did you see her face in those pictures? :scared1:
I will never forget that face!

all caught up.

Love the pics.

I don't run either for a ride, but I do walk faster. :lmao:

Are you busy packing and moving right now?

Glad you are enjoying the pictures. You do reports so much faster than we do. You need to get on back down there in June so we can get lots more good pictures out of you! I hope the Bay Lake Towers eventually works out for you, too!

I love that you wake up early and get us all such great shots of your resorts. It's nice seeing them not filled to the brim with people.

I've had a houseful of kids many, many times with weekend foster kids ('Special Friends' through church), babysitting (one of my former part-time jobs), and just having friends' and family's kids and the kids' friends and ball teams over here. There is/was always chaos - loudness and spills and an occasional broken something, but it is/was fun chaos! I wanted to have five or more kids, but it just didn't work out that way. Financially, I don't know how I ever could have managed, but I know we would have muddled through somehow.

I guess you are staying in a suite at Music, right? I'll look forward to hearing all about your big trip!

The resorts are very peaceful in the mornings. I enjoy watching them come slowly to life for another fun-filled day at Disney for so many people. I think it is so sweet to see an older couple holding hands walking to the bus stop, or a dad and young son carrying mugs down to the food court as they talk about what they're going to do that day, or a young couple pushing a stroller with a little one in it pointing to the pool or an early morning duck or bunny friend. Those little moments in time are so sweet to me. I love seeing families and friends being away from the stresses of their everyday lives and being able to enjoy some relaxation and fun.

I've been known to run for a bus  or a boat :upsidedow or a bathroom ;) but rarely a ride!

Yes, we've run (I hobbled) for a bus a time or two!

Nice updates MeMom....I like the pics of ASMo food court, the camera's were my favorite part!

Disney does a great job with details. Maybe Disney could hire me to help design the unfinished part of Pop Century. I would love that! :)

Values are fine for us, too. Eventually, we want to stay in all of them for at least a night or two, just to say we have experienced them all, but on the whole, with my budget at least, values suit our needs just fine.

I'll let Memom sit in front of us again so we can see her true expression.

Oh boy.
I will look forward to that.
Not!
Again with the :scared1: !!!

I guess whenever Brooklynn is brave enough to go again, I'll have to be brave enough to take her pictures again.

Chef Mickey's looks yummy. I have wanted to eat there but haven't done it yet.

Hey tomorrow is my birthday!!
No wait....this is February

You've gotta do Chef Mickey's.
It's high on the list of official Diser must-do's.

Birthday?
Then you need a cake. :cake:
I hope it's still good from all those months ago!
See what fun you could have at at Music if you had been down there for your birthday? It's a hoppin' place!

*****************************

The south seems to be thawing out some, so I hope the north follows suit.
It's very windy here this morning. The roof is rattling a bit.

Is this seriously only Wednesday? It feels like it should be at least Thursday afternoon!!! :)

Have a good day, everyone!

For those of you who sent the Valentine smiley, for some reason, I couldn't get it to show up. I retired my snowball guy, though, because I am ready for spring.

Jill, take note of my new signature information. I have a few fall break days in October. What do you think about Wednesday (21st) to Saturday (24th) for a quickie Halloween trip?

Before you say no, go over and look at Kathleen's My Son Loves Halloween trip report. Jacob has just put up some new pictures that might sway your answer.

Memom,

I enjoyed your early morning walk. I actually got up earlier this year because of your morning pictures. One morning my daughter and I were out before the sun. I didn't do as much walking around as you do because it was cold to me in the mornings. It is very quiet at that time and I really enjoyed it. Thanks for inspiration.

we're getting your winds now! it's crazy windy here and there are storms headed this way. i just went outside and took my glass tinker bell bird bath down. it's really scary outside right now!

Did you guys fare okay, Dawn? When it came through our county it wasn't near as bad as I had feared -- lots of wind and rain, but not much else! Hope the same was true for you!

yeah, it was just scary-looking clouds that were FLYING over the house and really strong wind. but i think it's over for the most part now. the bad stuff went just north of us.

Morning MeMom! Am I up before you today? Where should we walk to? ;)

Great ASMovie pics, we really enjoyed that resort. :thumbsup2

I'm hoping the car situation will get worked out today....:headache: I can pick up the cheque from the insurance so it should get things moving.

not yet. This apt is sold. He passed the board and we believe he got the mortgage. We are waiting for interview in the new place and they don't meet till the end of the month. I hate the waiting.

Well I have no life so I just post away. :rotfl2:

I am actually looking at October now. In a few weeks I will start tempting Biff with Food and Wine festival.

I keep hinting I turn 40 next month and a DVC would be the best gift. ;)

Great trip

Thanks. Glad to have you along. Feel free to join in and make yourself at home.

Aw, that's okay. I just wanted to make sure you got it!

I did. I got several from my Dis pals - I took a minute to try to put one on and it didn't work, and I haven't taken the time to try again.

It's very nice to have the resort pretty much to yourself in the morning. I enjoy watching the animals and watching the CM's doing their jobs as they get things ready for the day. I'm glad you had the chance to do that.

We got winds of 47-49 last night. Objects were flying around the yard. The sky was pretty black.

I'm glad you protected your little Tink!

I hope everyone was safe, along with all the 'stuff' in the yards, cars, etc.

Us, too! It was like The Wizard of Oz! :)

I've just been very busy. I've checked in briefly, but haven't had time to hang around.

A check from the insurance company is a good thing!

I tried to talk Jill into October, but she's saying not until next year. I was thinking we'd take two shorter trips in October and December, but I guess we'll just go for a little longer December trip instead.

We got to Toy Story Midway Mania.

Cowboy Crunchies.
Double dipped chocolate sugar crunchies.
Probably what some of my students start my day with, judging by the way they bounce down the hallway!

IMG_0045.jpg

As we walked around, High School Musical was performing.

Trent and Jarvis were coming our way, so we decided to meet at Starring Rolls Bakery.

Here are some of the stars of that day.

We got a whole bunch of stuff.

Are you ready to see it?

Watch your sugar level here.

Brooklynn was given a free Mickey cookie.

IMG_0052.jpg

I guess the CM didn't think we had enough sugar to make us all comatose already!

Jill was a bit traumatized because they ran out of something she wanted. I think maybe it was apple turnovers.

We just sat down and had a picnic. :)

IMG_0053.jpg

I have proof that Trent and Jarvis were there.
That's Jarvis's shoe in the left corner and Trent's banana in the right corner. :rotfl:

It was a pretty spot.

IMG_0055.jpg

I don't know why I didn't get more pictures here.

I remember Jarvis having so much food he couldn't keep up with it all. He dropped his OJ, and it rolled under the bench. When he reached under to pick up the OJ, he knocked one of his goodies off the bench. I don't have more pictures, but I do remember that we sat there in that quiet, cool place and ate and laughed at Jarvis.

Looking at all your pictures I have decided two things -- one, I would really like a life-size game of Candyland to play in the living room and I would really, really, really like one of those chocolate croissants!

Poor Jarvis (but I would have been giggling, too). :lmao:
