Over the river and through the FUN!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY:love: . I am glad to hear you survived the school Valentine's party. It is one of the joys of teaching. The kids need a fun day, but how many times did you think about the testing in the spring and the instruction time you were missing out on.

I am still reading along and enjoy reading about the lastest Brooklynn adventures :surfweb: and looking at the Disney shopping pictures,popcorn:: even if I do not reply often.

Okay I was harsh... we had a lazy Valentine's Day here. We ate out last night, with kids. I just thought yesterday after the party for almost two hours I babysat... and there is too much I need to teach to do that!

MMMMMMM....those delightful breakfast treats look delish!    Here's Brooklyn during the sugar rush! hahahaha

Well, I started my trip report. I have the travel day up. You are mentioned in day 2. I will post it tomorrow. :goodvibes Happy belated Valentines day...my dh and dd10 are both sick but we did go out yesterday for dinner. So nice!

Four days for the teachers, too! I am super excited! Of course, when we return on Tuesday, it will be a jam-packed week.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Awesome for you!
Sometimes four day weeks seem like six day weeks!

I want you to know I thought of you the other night when I was working on our trip plans. The day we go to Animal Kingdom, we're either going to go over to AKL in the morning for breakfast or after the park closes at 7. I was trying to figure out which time would give me the most opportunity for good pictures for Charleston Princess. I think I'm going to try to talk my friend into getting over there right at 6:45-7:00. We'll have over an hour to roam around before we need to get on the bus to go over to AK for opening. That will also free up the evening to go to the Boardwalk, if we have any energy left. If we don't get over there in the morning, though, we will be going in the evening. Either way, we're going. I should still have a little daylight left if we go in the evening.

 Happy Valentines Day!

Thanks. It was okay for everyone except Jill. She caught some 'bug', I guess, from one of her little ones who was sick at school on Friday. She didn't feel well off and on yesterday, and then she got sick in the middle of the night. I will spare you any details, as grossness is not something I like to read about when I come to the Disboards, so I figure most other people don't either.

She did feel okay in the evening after a nap, and she and John went out to the mall for some free time and shopping. She got some good deals on matching bathing suits for the girls at Old Navy.

:lovestruc Happy Valentine's Day!:flower3:

We are having a quiet family day today. Enjoy your day!

We didn't do anything special either. I got heart-shaped donuts and chocolate covered strawberries at Kroger. That's about it.

We only partied for about 45 minutes, so I didn't think much of it. We usually go out on Friday afternoons for about twenty minutes anyway.

I'm glad you're still reading. It's hard to post on everything you read. I try to read along on and post every so often to let people know their work is appreciated and their pictures are enjoyed, but we all have time constraints, so I hope we are all understanding of each other.

I guess you guys are much more dedicated teachers than I am. We only had our goodies out and played for the last 45 minutes of school, and I didn't feel guilty about it. My little boy with issues is supposed to be being transferred to a behavior school soon, and I know that I'm going to be able to get in some quality teaching time after he is gone. It's not his fault, but he takes up a lot, lot, lot of my time, so this group is not as far along as some have been in the past. I'm finishing liquid measurement Monday and Tuesday in Math, and then it's on to Fractions. He should be gone by the time I'm ready for a good three weeks of reviewing everything, so hopefully between what I'm getting in now and what I review, the others will get enough to make it.

Yesterday, Brooklynn ate a piece of Snow White wrapped chocolate, some sprinkles off of a cookie, the icing off of a cupcake, and the edges of a heart donut. We watched the two videos she chose - the Disney Halloween Sing-Along video and I'll let you guess the other one.

It rhymes with Skittle Permaid.

Then we made a tent in the kitchen with two chairs and a blanket. She was hiding in it when Jill and John came in.
It could have been difficult to find her if she hadn't been giggling her head off and wiggling around. :rotfl:

I'll definitely be reading your report! I hope you are saying nice things about me on Day 2, but I'm not going to be surprised if you are making fun of me in some way!!! :) :upsidedow  :flower3:

*********************************

I hope everyone has a nice Sunday ahead. We've had lots of sunshine lately and warmer temperatures, so that has been very nice.

I've been thinking of Megablocks and her family, who are in Disney World this morning. How nice!

Ahhhh, that is so super sweet of you to be thinking of me while you plan your AKL jaunt! :goodvibes I can't wait to see any photos that you take. Plus, just to let you know -- my tax returns came in and were promptly sent to Disney -- there will be no switching now because I only owe a little bit more on the trip. Savannah view, here we come!!!

Morning, glad you got to see your loved ones yesterday. :lovestruc I wish we had heart donuts. I tried to make heart pancakes but it didn't quite work out.

Too bad Jill wasn't feeling well, I hope it passes quickly.

I went to the Disney Store yesterday too. They had buy one get one free on all plush. :woohoo: I was good and squashed the urge to buy everything. :rotfl: I had Donald & Daisy in my arms but traded for a cute little Mickey in a tux & Minnie in a fancy dress set. DMom thinks they are a wedding pair but Minnie isn't wearing a white dress/vail. I think they may be prom ??? They were cute, I'm going to put them in my 'new' car as good luck. Lexi got Oliver & Dodger. I picked up a few t-shirts too.

My DMom got me one of David E. Ross's prints. It has a sandcastle and a pail w/Mickey on it. I looked on the internet and its part of a set so maybe one day I'll add to it. I know you have some of his prints. He will be in WDW this spring, I wish I could meet him. Do you know if the Art of Disney always sells his work?

Have a great day!

I just finally got a chance to catch up and read your DHS morning update...

all I can say it WOW all that stuff looks soooo yummy! My stomach is grumbling just looking at it. I could really go for one of those chocolate filled croissants right about now...or anytime for that matter!

Hope you all had a wonderful valentine's day!! :lovestruc :goodvibes

My tax return will all go straight on my credit card to pay off the last trip! I'm doing after-school tutoring two days a week and summer school, and all of that will help get rid of that pesky little card, too! I'll be glad to see it at zero balance again as soon as possible. I'm glad your trip is almost paid for. That has to feel good!

When you were in the Disney Store, did you ever so quietly sing along to the overhead music? Jill and I do, and then we laugh at each other for being Disney dorks.

I love the David Doss prints! I love my sandpail pictures that I took of the one that still had the MGM picture! Since they wouldn't sell me the display prints they had, I just took pictures of the picture. They turned out fine. I'll put them on here sometime. I wonder if he'll be there during the few days we're there during Flower & Garden Festival?

As far as I know, they carry his stuff on a regular basis.

Meet us at the Main Street Bakery sometime, and we'll all have croissants together!

Have a GREAT day.

I'm headed out the door to an all day workshop. I'll be able to come back to the room and check in here at lunchtime.

I can't believe I mis-spelled his name....David E. Doss. ;)

He will be at Art of Disney from April 7 to May 31, 09. :goodvibes

I'm off today because it's "Family Day', a provincial holiday for us here. :yay:

We are going to go to the Wave pool at noon and come home later for Taco Night and board games. Probably...Disney Bingo, Disney Uno, Disney Monopoly and Jenga (had to throw something else in there non Disney :lmao: )

Happy Belated Valentines Day! Life has been getting in the way of my disboarding.... I am finally all caught up.
I hope you get Jill that Apple Turnover that she has been wanting for so long.
I have decided to book a short trip at the end of April. April 27th will be 4years that my Dad passed away so It will be nice to be at my favorite place.

I am sorry to hear that Jill got sick over the weekend. I am glad you got to play with Brooklynn though. Did you get any good pictures?

When do you plan to make your final decision about the March trip. I hope you go so you can tell us all about it. But, I do understand that you have to have money to go. If you didn't, I would be there every day.

Good job paying your card off. We don't have cards. Too dangerous. If I don't have it to spend, then I don't spend it! I hope Jill is feeling better and that no one else gets it.

I am feeling better. I took the day off because I just didn't know how I would feel today. I ate a bowl of cereal earlier and I'm just taking it easy, but I feel fine. Hopefully, Brooklynn and John will avoid it. I was very thankful to be at MeMom's when I got sick because I didn't feel bad just resting and sleeping. I knew she was watching Brooklynn and that she was making sure everyone had good food to eat not just junk.

I will miss seeing him, then. It would be neat to see him in person and maybe even seeing him work.

I'm glad you got to spend some family time together. Too bad we don't all have webcams so we could play board games with you guys! :)

I took a few pictures of my three kids, since they're not often under one roof. I took a picture of our sweet treats, too. I was going to take a picture of Brooklynn, but her hair was crazy at the time, so I never did. :upsidedow

I only have the one that I use, and until recently, I never carried a balance. For years I never carried a balance. But....I had to pay for a course for school, new tires for the car, Drew's school, a new water heater, and then I did put the Thanksgiving trip on there, so it definitely has a balance right now. I will work diligently to get it down, though, and it'll be at zero again eventually.

She also painted one coat on Isabelle's changing table, she told me.

I'm glad you're feeling better, baby doll!

Back to the trip.

We were in Hollywood Studios, remember, just having devoured a few pounds of sugar.

Hollywood was very pretty with its decorations.

We went back through the Toy Story area.

Jill almost bought this shirt.

And headed toward the back.

The Power Rangers were out greeting fans. I got a picture of their empty car.

IMG_0062.jpg

We were all going to see this.

IMG_0064.jpg

Three Hollywood Studios favorites can be seen from the top.

I tried to get a close-up of the set.

Osborne Lights from where we sat.

The show starts.

I had just seen this guy this morning - crashed through a building at All-Star Music!

My favorite picture from this group - catching the man falling in mid-air.

Jarvis really enjoyed the show. He was the only one who had not seen it, so it was fun seeing him enjoy it. Trent said Jarvis thinks he's a Disney World expert these days. He said they were talking to another guy who goes often with his family, and Jarvis was right in the midst of the conversation with the two 'veterans', interjecting his thoughts and talking excitedly about the rides and attractions as if he knew all about them. He's saying that if we are up for having him, he's more than ready to go again. He and Trent both claim they're going to have girls going with them this year, so we'll see. Trent is dating a couple of nice girls right now, and I'm not sure about Jarvis.

Girls or not, we're always up for more friends to come along. The more, the merrier. I am hoping that Drew will be able to come this summer, too, if his schedule allows it. He's not Disney nuts, but he will have fun if he brings a buddy, so we may have a pretty nice Grand Gathering. We'll see.

Oh, I can't wait to see all the Toy Story merchandise in person -- I often say, "Don't make me put on my angry eyes!" to my students. :rotfl:

That's precious about Jarvis being an expert!

Glad you are feeling a little bit better, Jill! :goodvibes
