Over the river and through the FUN!

Those ornaments would be awesome on a huge tree, but I have a baby tree, so I got some smaller things. However, in watching some HGTV shows over the break, I've seen ways I can use the big ornaments other than on a tree, which means next year.....
Right now, I can only think about saving, not spending.
Just keep saving.
Saving, saving!

I could see how ornaments that big might look funny on a smaller tree...but you can always count on HGTV to teach us how to spruce up our homes tastefully! Next year, next year...Saving is most definitely the big thing on my mind right now, hard as that may be. Good luck with it, you know it will be worth it in the end when you get to take yet ANOTHER trip to the World!

Those pictures from the morning on Main Street are wonderful! It looks so gorgeous and I can only hope I get so lucky as to be able to visit WDW during the holiday season. Like you said, saving, saving!

im anxious to see what you pictures you snapped that day at MK.

and to hear (read) if Jill got internet

No internet yet. She has told John she has to have it before she's at home on her maternity leave or she'll go crazy.

She's crazy enough without adding extra, so he probably should get it!

Just getting caught up and saw that you ARE going over spring break!! :woohoo: Loving the early morning pics!

I hope you enjoyed all of your family activities. I'd love to see a picture of the boys with all of their goodies!

Yes, it does look like we are going to go. My friend, Kay, seemed to be really ready to commit, so we went ahead and booked the flight. Right now, with all of the holiday stuff, it hasn't really sunk into my brain, but probably on the first day the kids come back to school, I'll be very happy that I have a Disney countdown going!

We went for my daughters birthday & Christmas in 2006 and my Christmas presents were ornaments for our little tree that we put up in our room. They were plenty for that tree but not enough for our big tree here at home. Hopefully over the next several years visits I will slowly be able to buy enough to fill our tree at home.

I can't wait for more of the morning walks.

That's the way to do it - just add one or two each year. By the time the kids are grown, you have a huge tree filled with cool ornaments. My little tree has such a variety. It has Disney, Sesame Street, Cabbage Patch Kids, booties I made for Jill on her first Christmas, a pickle from Germany in Epcot, Frosty the Snowman, Batman, Superman, Charlie Brown, balls of different kinds...just all kinds of stuff that reminds me of when the kids were growing up.

About the morning walks....don't forget your jacket. It was cold! :)

I'm getting SO excited! Now that the craziness of the holidays is over, I can really start getting ready. I'm tempted to start making my packing lists already. My mom also got the Unofficial Guide, so I need to borrow that. We have 45 days left, it's crazy.

My mom was doing that too! :rotfl: As soon as the camera panned down Main Street, she said, "MY CASTLE!"

Quick question: When you and Jill went to get tonga toast on one of your trips, I know you went to the Poly. Did you get it from the food court there? My mom is also dying to try it, and we want to go one morning for it, but get it from the food court, if possible. Thank you!

ETA: I always love the pics from your early morning walks. I need to take an early morning walk around Pop sometime--I swear I will do it sometime this trip!

45 days! Yay! Almost time for one of Dawn's 30 day countdown charts!

Yes, we got Tonga toast at Captain Cook's. You know how quickly things change down there, though. I can't guarantee that they still have it, but they did when we were there. Check over on allears - they list the menus of almost every food court and restaurant.

If you walk around Pop early, you'll see a lot of ducks and rabbits and turtles down by the lake. The rabbits are everywhere. They don't have much fear of having the run of the place! It's very peaceful just watching them go about their business.

What a wonderful early morning look at MK! I bet it was fun to just take pictures and wonder around a little bit.

I love an early morning walk in WDW - taking pictures, shopping, or whatever!

I went to get a few groceries, and I did pretty good. I got milk, eggs, and the few things I needed, and the only non-neccesary things I got were four sacks for 15 cents each to put gifts in for tomorrow's World Showcase meal, a $1.40 Mickey gift bag for next year, and a can of peanuts for half price. I love nuts, so I couldn't pass that deal up!

It looks so peaceful on your walks in the morning. The pics are so nice without all the people. Thanks for going to ASMovies and taking some pics there. I wish I could get up earlier than 7am so I could do the same. ;)

I enjoyed all the decorations in the shops, too bad I couldn't buy them all. The pic with the kid maniquins in pyjamas is cute. I really like the Cinderella's carriage globe. Very pretty. I would like all the xmas plushies.

It will be fun to have Jill here on the DIS regularily and she can update us too. She will never be bored as long as she can :surfweb:.

I think you've helped me to decide. You bring up a good point about the sprucing up of ASMusic. A nice fresh room is better. We were lucky last year to get a reno'd ASSports room. It was very clean and nice. I am also loving the idea of the curtain. ;) POP will be the next one for sure!

So I have the Where : ASMusic
When : August 23 to August 31 (8 nights)
Who : Me, DMom, DD and DS (has agreed to come :) )
What : 7 day tickets w/park hopper, w.p and more
How : driving to Auburn AL (aprox. 22hrs) and then to WDW

Now all I need is the $$$$! :wizard:

I'm off to work ...enjoy your evening & HGTV!

Good economical grocery run! I will say that I am being pretty good too...I just went on Victoria's Secret website and ordered 5 sweaters and a tote bag for only $110 (I think thats a lot of stuff for not a lot of money and I desperately needed them!) and that was money I had gotten for xmas...I also added $50 to my vacation fund and money to my savings. All in the name of Disney! Can't wait to hear about the World Showcase meal.

Did you watch the Disney Parade on Christmas Day....the shot you took from the train station reminded me of it....wow....Disney is absolutely devine at Christmas.....all the decorations are gorgeous. How much would it cost just to live in the Bay Lake Tower??? :rotfl: I was thinking it would be an excellent location to live...don't you think????

Wonderful pictures of Mainstreet and of the All Stars decorations! So, so pretty!

I'm looking forward to hearing about your World Showcase party too. You are so creative with your parties. :goodvibes

Thank you so much for that info and for double-checking allears! I let my mom know about it, and we're planning on doing MK on our first morning for EMH, so we're going to try and go to the Poly afterwards.

I can't wait to hear about your World Showcase party!

Do you think that little girl wanted to be at rope drop? :rotfl2:

Round two completed MeMom, but no trees cut down yet. We did have to take one Christmas tree down; too many needles falling off.

Wow! I have missed so much!! I'm glad to hear you guys had a nice Christmas!

And what wonderful updates to come home to! I love your leisurley morning around the hotel and MK! I love doing that! Whenever I tell people that I go there alone they say "Awww! Where was your friend? Why wouldn't she go with you?" and it's like, "Because I told her not to!" I think it is so refreshing to spend some time on your own. Just hanging out, shopping, people-watching, picture snapping...going at your own pace. :)

Memom and Jill, I spent my last day of vacation (having just gotten back from my parent's home in VA) lounging on the couch and reading your whole new TR! I am so glad I had the chance to catch up. As always Memom gets pictures of things I have never ever noticed in all my trips to WDW. I love the photos of Basin, that is my favorite store in DTD :lovestruc It looks like you all had a wonderful Christmas too. Your trees are gorgeous! I have a very rowdy, feisty kitten so no tree for me this year. :cat:
I'm glad I'm all caught up and looking forward to more. With a new little princess and a March trip scheduled, it looks like 2009 will be a great year for your family :teeth:

Thanks BrooklynnsMommy for sharing the pics of Xmas morning. She is so adorable with her little kitchen. It looks like she is calling MeMom on that phone. The little doll set is very cute and she can practice for when she is a big sister. Her pyjamas are sweet too.

My kids both had little kitchens and loved playing with them for hours, cooking up all kinds of plastic food, especially my DS.

OMgarsh....is that just the cutest or what!!!!!! :cutie: Hey Brooklynn....what are you going to make first in your kitchen? Can you make Dole whips yet??? And your dollies and furniture are the best...take good care of them! :thumbsup2
