Over the river and through the FUN!

Beautiful pictures Jill! I am surprised there were no hidden Mickey's to be seen! Enjoy those candy bars!

Jill the baby is beautiful just like her sister. It's amazing how clear you can see her face. What does Brooklynn think about her?

My daughter Sam (in my Siggy) is due April 18th. We went last week for her 4D but baby Ty had his hands and one foot in front of his face the whole time. Also, he was measuring 2 weeks ahead so we may have a big baby. We go next week for another look I hope he is not so shy next time.

memom - have you heard about this? the disney dreams come true parade at MK ENDS after TOMORROW!!!!! apparently they're starting a new "celebrate" parade at MK on friday. here's the thread i saw with the info:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2066967

i know how much you love this parade so i thought i'd give you a head's up. i'm sure the new one will be great too! but it's kind of sad that it's gone forever.

what a wonderful update and pics.

it did not look too bad for Thanksgiving

Thanks.

You know how we try to avoid the big crowds. We try to work it out where we're in different areas than the normal flow of traffic. There were a few times when it got outrageously crowded, so we just headed somewhere else.

Jill and Memom,

I loved the pictures of the opening at Magic Kingdom. We got to see it for the first time in December. I think it was one of my favorite parts of the trip.

I hope Brooklynn continues to want to ride all the rides. My six year old son was much more scared to ride things this time than when he was two and four years old. He loved Fantasy Land but was pretty much scared of everything else. I hope he is brave the next time we go so that we can ride more things as a family.

Thanks for sharing your vacation.

I'm a little afraid that that will be what happens on our summer trip, since it's going to be a long span of time between Brooklynn's Thanksgiving trip and the summer trip. If she's scared, we'll just have to remind her that things are plastic and pretend, and walk her through it. That's what we do at the Rainforest hippo here in Nashville. She always wants to go see him, but then when we get there, she backs away. We just try to show her he's pretend, like a great big toy. I hope this summer won't be the trip when all of her fears come out, but we'll see.

Haha. My little guy is going through this stage where if you tell him no when he wants to do something he can't, he'll say 'yeah i do' really fast. :rotfl2: We don't know where he heard it. And then for awhile he was saying "yes sir". And now he'll say "dicilous" for ridiculous.

Little ones can make your day happy just in the simple things they do and say.

Will he be with you when you come through Nashville going to WDW, or is he staying home?

That reminds me of my brother! When I was about six and he was three, my parents took us up to New Hampshire for a few days, and visited a park called Storyland. On one of the days that we went, it was raining all day. The place was mostly empty, and we were able to ride the rides as much as we wanted, and not always get off when it ended. It was sunny and more crowded the next day, and Michael could not understand why we had to get off the rides, and THEN have to wait in a line.

MeMom, I love the early morning All-Star pictures, and the rope drop pictures. Aside from the morning EMH at MK on our first full day, I'm also going to ask about doing a rope drop at Epcot. We are doing a segway tour there, and might stick around after that, but that's Kailyn's birthday, so whatever we do will be up to her. I would love to get in Soarin' more than one time this trip, though.

It's all just a learning process. Sometimes you get to go again, and sometimes you don't. There are times you have to wait in long lines, and sometimes rides break down, or characters aren't all you want them to be. It would be nice if the lessons people learn when they're little would stick with them in adulthood. I've seen a few people sighing or heard them whining about little things or just getting outright aggravated, and I just thought they really needed to chill out, because it wasn't that big a deal. When adults are 'acting up' and they have their kids right there watching them be rude or hateful, I just wonder what the kids are going to end up like as they grow up.

I hope you can ride Soarin' more than once. Ride early and then grab a Fastpass for later. It's my favorite ride! I tried to have Jill on the phone with me to ride along when she couldn't go (home pregnant with Brooklynn), but I couldn't get service. I was disappointed, because I thought that would have been fun. Also, Erica and Dawn tried to call me and let me ride along with them when they went, but it didn't work for them either.

I'm glad your sister gets to spend her birthday in Disney World. That's a nice gift! It is really almost time for you to go!!! :cool1:

Love the "Cousin It" photo.

Thanks, man! :)

What's new in the declansdad household?

That was a very close and exciting race! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to see where you guys have your Thanksgiving Day dinner. :goodvibes

We had Thanksgiving dinner with the Chef himself! Can't wait to show you the fun, but you know I'm a slow TR writer.

Nice update & cute photos.

That is such a cute picture. I like the added touch of Brooklynn's blue hair bow and Ariel's blue flower.

She loves Ariel!

I didn't notice the bows until you pointed it out.

WooHOO!!! Im all caught up now. That was a marathon of a reading session!:rotfl: We are just about ready to book our August trip. I cant wait!! Ahhh, POP for 10 nights! I am really hoping that they do free dining agian this year. Usually its the last week of August through September. Thats why we picked Aug 24-Sept 3 for the trip. We have enough saved for the trip with the dining plan but if we get free dining, then that means we will have extra money!! Thats always a nice thing. Im deciding on whether or not I will do a TR. After reading yours, thats a lot to live up to! You do such an awesome job!!!:thumbsup2

I hope you will write a great trip report with lots of pictures! I'll be back in school and our long trip will be done, so I'll enjoy seeing your pictures. Free dining would be great. I've never been at a free dining time.

Thanks so much for the advice. We will do Dumbo 1st and 2nd then. Hopefully we can get to MGK during EMH.

It'll work for you, and you'll be glad you don't have to stand in long lines. I hope you make it to EMH, because that works even better!

WOW!!! That is the one character that I want Hollie to meet since she has pretty much met most of the ones she likes! Thanks for the heads up Jill!!! That will come in very handy for us in November!:thumbsup2

I'll look forward to seeing a picture of a smiling Hollie sitting up on that rock with Ariel!

Thanks for the help! I'm trying to plan out what we will ride, but I'm afraid Hannah might chicken out on a few things....or she my surprise me!

And on a side note...I finally figured out how to multi-quote...I'm so excited! :upsidedow

Hopefully, she won't chicken out!

Welcome to the world of multi-quoting. I didn't know how to do it for forever, either, and then one day I just finally asked Jill. It was so simple that I made fun of myself for not asking sooner.

We went and had our 4D ultrasound done today. Here are some pictures of the little one we will be greeting in 11 weeks.

Also on a very happy note she is actually measuring a few days smaller than where we are. So that was definitely happy news.:cheer2:

One important thing - could the doctor tell if she has the patience gene? :)

I can't wait to hold and kiss and love and spoil that little girl!!!

And yes, I have no doubt that she is doing Disney dreaming.

what incredible pictures of the baby!!:)

They are amazing, aren't they?

very cool pics, jill!!! those 4D ultrasounds are so cool. i hope i get to have one when i get pregnant. my brother and his girlfriend had one recently and he called me and was so excited because his baby's toe looked like his! :rotfl2:

I think it's neat that we have smiling pictures already. Maybe she'll be a very happy baby!

Beautiful pictures Jill! I am surprised there were no hidden Mickey's to be seen! Enjoy those candy bars!

I'm glad to hear she can have a little sweet stuff in her days. She's changed her eating habits, but everybody needs a little treat here and there.

Too bad you didn't get to see his face. Hopefully, next time he won't be playing hide-and-seek!

I did read about that. I love all the parades, of course. I read that this new one is another 'stopping' one, like Block Party Bash. I'm not crazy about that idea, but we'll just have to get there and see what it's like in reality.

I miss the Stars and Cars Motor Parade. That was a good one, but it's always good to see new things, too.

What a precious little baby girl!!! :goodvibes

Just like her mommy and sister before her!

Have a good day, everyone!
It's warming up here in middle Tennessee. Thirties and forties temperatures are feeling good right now. I'm ready for winter to be done and spring to come on! I guess Mr. Groundhog will decide that in a couple of weeks. As crazy as our weather has been, I'm predicting six more weeks of winter, but holding out hope for an early spring!

Thanks, man! :)

What's new in the declansdad household?

Not too much. Trying to get through the one day snow and 5 day deep freeze cycle. On a positive note, it looks as if we are on the verge of booking our August trip. The downside of that is the exchange rate has teken a beating the last few days.

Great Fantasyland updates! Looks like a lot of fun.
Jill-those 4D baby pictures are so cool. I wish those would have been around a few years ago, when I had my kids. Oh well!
Can't wait for more.

oh, i hope not! i like the block party but i think one of those types of parades is enough. when we saw it in december we got a seat right near the hat and we ended up watching the second time they stopped. by the time we were done watching that it was almost 3:40 and the parade started at 3:00! i wouldn't want to be at the very end for the 3rd showing because you wouldn't be done watching until 4:00. it just takes more time if you're not on the first stop and takes a huge chunk out of your day - more time than a parade should!

Congratulations to you both Jill and MeMom! :goodvibes You can tell that baby is gonna be just gorgeous! That technology is absolutely amazing! It must bring you such happiness to know that your little one is doing great and is right on schedule! Thanks for sharing it with us!

Will he be with you when you come through Nashville going to WDW, or is he staying home?

He's staying home...But next year (2010) we are planning a summer trip with the grandparents, my uncle, and the little guy so he'll be with then! :hyper:

The ultrasound pics are amazing. I'm so happy for both you MeMom AND Jill! :goodvibes

Great pictures! I'm sorry she didn't get to ride Cinderella's horse. Hopefully next time. :) MeMom, try to use the word grotto in conversation once today. Do it for me and then report back, ok?

I love the ultrasound pictures Jill. I'm sure she's going to be a beautiful babe!

how about MeMom could say somehting like, "Grotto go out and pick up some groceries for dinner"! :goodvibes

Also on a very happy note she is actually measuring a few days smaller than where we are. I had only gained 4 pounds since my last appointment 4 weeks ago and that included Christmas. After looking at my weight gain, the ultrasound, and other measurements my doctor feels very confident that we won't have a 10 pound baby in April. She said instead of a candy bar every day she recommends one every other day, but other than that I should be fine. So that was definitely happy news.:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Ooooh, how precious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the sweet babies smile!!!!!

Signing on! Just had to let you know that you have a beautiful family...I have enjoyed reading about your adventures. That 4D sonogram is amazing. I wish that had been available when I had my children. We had no ultasounds or anything so they were all a surprise. I so would have done the 4D thing!

Let us know when you book, so we can celebrate with you!
We can talk out loud about it this time, since Declan knows about it. :)

I don't see how you guys do it up there. We only had a week of bitter cold, and I am more than ready for spring. Last Friday, it was 1 degree. Today, it is supposed to be 61. It's going to go back to the 30-40 range tomorrow, which is more normal for us, but from 1 to 61 in one week's time just shows you how wacky our weather can be.

Great Fantasyland updates! Looks like a lot of fun.

Can't wait for more.

Back when I had kids, you didn't have an ultrasound unless there was a perceived problem. So, even though it would have been cool to have a picture like that, under the circumstances, I'm glad I didn't need one. I had healthy babies, except for jaundice with Trent, so I felt very, very blessed.

Are you going to put up pictures of your trip?

Yeah, I'm not too keen on the idea of another stopping parade either, but I guess we'll learn to adjust to what we get. We saw the Michael/Sulley part of BPB last time, so if Kay and I see it in March, I'll try to get at a Toy Story stop and get different pictures. Brooklynn would like seeing Buzz and Woody.

Congratulations to you both Jill and MeMom! :goodvibes You can tell that baby is gonna be just gorgeous! That technology is absolutely amazing! It must bring you such happiness to know that your little one is doing great and is right on schedule! Thanks for sharing it with us!

It is reassuring to see a healthy baby and to hear a good report from the doctor. I look forward to spoiling another little princess. Trent said he'll have to get prepared to toss two little girls up and down and 'round and 'round now. I can already picture them both giggling like crazy!

He's staying home...But next year (2010) we are planning a summer trip with the grandparents, my uncle, and the little guy so he'll be with then! :hyper:

The ultrasound pics are amazing. I'm so happy for both you MeMom AND Jill! :goodvibes

Well, then, maybe we'll meet at the hippo again in 2010! :)

She didn't care about the horse. That was more just for a picture than anything. Hopefully, she will ride that horse and lots of others many, many times in her Disney years ahead!

I thought about the grotto thing. Maybe I'll teach that word to my third graders. I love to introduce new words to them, and what would be better than introducing a Disney word?!?!? :thumbsup2

how about MeMom could say somehting like, "Grotto go out and pick up some groceries for dinner"! :goodvibes

See, if I had said that, my kids would roll their eyes, shake their heads, and think it was funny all at the same time! I so appreciate you doing that, so that they'll see I'm not alone in some of my um... unique thinking

Jill, your ultrasound pictures are beautiful! She looks like a sweet little girl! princess:

She does look like a sweetie, doesn't she? I think it's cute that she is 'smiling'.

Ooooh, how precious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the sweet babies smile!!!!!

Me, too. I hope it's indicative of what her personality will be.

Awwww look at your baby!

I do. I look at her several times a day now. :)

Signing on! Just had to let you know that you have a beautiful family...I have enjoyed reading about your adventures. That 4D sonogram is amazing. I wish that had been available when I had my children. We had no ultasounds or anything so they were all a surprise. I so would have done the 4D thing!

We're always happy to have new members of our crew! We hope you'll feel very at home and comfortable here.

I didn't know what my babies were, either. At first, they had said Jill was a boy all day while I was at the hospital. I guess they were so sure that they didn't bother to look.

They plopped her up and said, "There he is!"
It took a few seconds, and I so clearly remember the anesthesiologist (sp?) behind my left shoulder saying, "I think it's a girl, y'all."

Yeah, people around here say y'all.
Even highly paid anesthesiologists.

Sure enough, she was a girl.
In my opinion, she was the most loved little girl who had ever arrived on this planet!

For several days, I stood at the door of my house in the mornings holding her, watching cars going up and down the road going about their daily routines, and I was standing there thinking, "How can they not know that the entire universe has changed with this baby I am holding?"

I was overwhelmed with how much I loved that baby. I knew I would love 'it', before it was born, but when she got here, the love I felt for her just blew me away!

That's why I get so excited for people having their first baby, and I always hope they feel that same awesome, incredible, wonderful, fabulous, and everything else that means great, love that I did.

Grotto go to school!

But, hey, it is Friday.

Better yet, it is payday Friday.

Have a great day, all!

a good spot for that would be anywhere from where the time board is (you know that big board on the right as you are walking towards the hat that lists the waits for rides and show times) up to the hat. but be careful about getting close to the hat because once the parade starts, they kind of bring in the line a little bit and you could lose your spot if you have rude people around you that get in front of you. we almost sat there and i asked a CM about it because they way it was taped off was kind of odd. she said we could sit there but she wouldn't because when they bring the crowd in for the parade everyone gets all jumbled and you may lose your spot. i would stay towards the time board. i know toy story is the first one that comes through (which i'm sure you know too) and that's where the beginning of the parade stops the first time.

you know, i just went back and looked at mine and erica's pics from when we were there in september and we sat DIRECTLY ACROSS from the time board. we were at the very end of toy story/beginning of monsters, inc. so if i were you i'd walk past the time board about 20 yards and you should be good. :thumbsup2
