I love the GF gift shop. I always go stand in the windows and look out for the longest time. I think I used to do it when I was little and we stayed there because it always brings back memories and I get that feeling again.
Looking out the GF windows, you see nothing but pure beauty.
I am glad you have so many good memories of growing up with Disney trips. I hope Brooklynn and all of the other grandkids to come will have the same.
nice pictures as always. is that barn are MK? I have never seen them, and didnt know you could go in them. might have to check that out, my granddaughter loves horses.
It's officially called the Car Barn, and I can see vehicles behind the doors. I don't know if the horse equipment is something they really use or if it's just for decoration. If I see anyone over there next time I go, I will ask questions.
If you want to see and ride horses, make your way over to Fort Wilderness. Have you been there? They have pony rides and ponies just to look at, and they have an immaculate horse barn with HUGE horses. Both times we've been, we've seen them grooming horses, and last time we got to see one being shoed. Did you see those pictures on the summer report?
I have never been to the GF. It's on my "next time" list.

Beautiful pictures!
I hope you get to.
I live with two young men. My house doesn't have fancy delicate Victorian-type things, so I always like walking around in the prettiness and daintiness of the Grand Floridian. There are no gym shorts, sweat pants, tools, video games, car parts, etc. in sight, and I get to enjoy a more girly surrounding for a few minutes.
Beautiful utltrasound pictures.
The quality of ultrasounds now is just amazing!
Mine were grainy little photos!
Everything in the bakery always looks amazing!
I am glad I saw those pictures After I had dessert tonight.
I've never noticed the barn, hopefully I will remember to peek in next time!
That's exactly how I feel!
I have all these great memories of visiting places and going to shows when I was a kid! That's why I'm always willing to take my kids places like Disney and the ice shows and similar stuff. I want them to look back and have those same good memories.
It is nice to see her little face. I will kiss those cheeks many times in years to come. When I talk to Brooklynn on the phone, I sometimes tell her I'm going to jump through the phone and kiss her little cheeks, and she thinks that's a pretty funny idea!
The bakery's only drawbacks to me are too many delicious choices and too little seating.
The barn is right by the barbershop. I'll try to find out more details next time around.
Not to be morbid, but since I did have my cancer stuff, I've just taken on a new appreciation for going ahead and doing things instead of having things. If I die today, nobody will sit around and talk about my pretty new carpet, but I think they will many times talk about our Disney trips.
Not near as bad, but there are always people that don't stop to pay. Our school policy has always been that we don't chase people down. My favorite story of the day was the woman who complained that we didn't have a senior citizen discount (adult price is four dollars). I found it ironic because she had a diamond on her hand that was so big I probably could have paid my house mortgage off with it.
I would love for you to think I am being sweet by helping out, but we all get assigned gate duty at some point in the year. Today was my day.
It was fun to catch up with some of the parents I know, and several of the high school basketball players came to watch today after their game. Since I taught so many of them it was really neat to see them and talk with them for a little bit.
I will have to go check that out -- what key words did you type in?
We were the same way - didn't chase them down either, but it was annoying. I just go so tired of seeing groups of boys come through with all of their swaying and loud and vulgar language. Like you said, too, some of the parents who would 'sneak' by would have their cell phones and fancy nails and hairstyles and $500 worth of clothes, but they would skip out on a $4-5 fee, and they would gripe about the concession stand prices.
For the parade, I saw a link on another thread. If you haven't already, I guess just Disney's New Celebrate Parade? Most of the people on the other thread are saying the same thing as I thought - too many dancers, too few characters, not really impressed. So, after everyone sees it once, I guess during future parade times we can just go do rides and shows. It's not anything I'd have to watch in person very often. I'm interested to hear what you and others think after you see it. (The one I saw was a two-parter, by the way.)
You are welcome. We are glad to have new readers, and we hope you'll enjoy yourself and stick around for a while.
Hi,
MeMom! I have been so busy this past week, no time to DIS.
I tried to stay up last night but I actually fell asleep, with the laptop still on.
I got up early today and I'm all caught up. What great pics. (Especially the shopping ones...ofcourse

)
BrooklynnsMommy the sweet 'Bellarie' pics are so amazing and detailed. You are so lucky to have such a clear image your special bundle. She is so happy that she is even smiling at you.

You must feel so proud
MeMom.
I got some Disney magic this week, recieved my Passporter's guide and 2009 WDW planning video.
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
I would be happy with either the apple or the cherry turnover!!!
I fell asleep yesterday with the laptop in my lap, too. I've been running a fever all weekend, so I've pretty much stayed under three blankets. I go from freezing to hot. Hopefully, it will have run its course by in the morning.
I am proud of the good mommy Jill is and will be!
I got the 2009 DVD, too. I watched it Friday night.
I like the apple one better, but I ate some of the cherry. I should have been more outspoken and just told them I said apple, but I'm a weenie when I'm talking to people. I'm not nearly as chatty as I am on these boards.
On the Fourth of July, we were at the Poly beach watching fireworks, and another Diser who was up in the concierge lounge took a picture of us from afar and put it on the last report. It was strange to see ourselves from someone else's camera, but it was cool that they saw us and recognized us!
That was me

I just found this report. Yea!!
When are you guys going in March? We are too
I'm so glad you came back and told me this again. I couldn't remember who it was.
If my friend and I actually do get there, and that is still very iffy, we will be there from March 18th to March 22nd.
I'm still putting myself through torment on this one.
-I want to go, because I know I am SO going to need something fun to look forward to.
-I want to go, because I rarely ever get to see my friend, since our schedules are so different.
-I want to go because she has always had a lot of stresses at home, and I like to see her getting away from those. She relaxes and laughs when she's down there. She's been three times with us, and she has thoroughly enjoyed herself every time. We went once when her kids and mine were much younger, and we only went to Magic Kingdom. She still laughs at things she remembers from that day.
BUT
-I don't want to go, because I really can't afford to.
-I don't want to go, because I won't have my two favorite travel buddies with me.
We'll see what really happens. The room is booked, but I can always have that transferred over to our summer trip or put it on our Christmas girls' trip. The flight is booked, but I could also transfer that over to the summer, too, as we will probably fly then. At times, I wish Kay would call and just say she can't go, so that it would be a lightning bolt from heaven of what I should do. Then other times, usually when I am leaving school in the afternoon, I just want to go to the airport instead of the house and go now! I could do something different, but it would cost money, too. If I'm going to spend any money, I feel better spending it at Disney, since I know it's a clean, safe, family-friendly place.
Okay, all that is just to show you what I live with every day. I am the world's worst decision maker!
