Over the river and through the FUN!

Back to the madhouse for me tomorrow, also. I keep hoping that the snow we had this evening returns, but I think it is gone for good.

Lovely nighttime pics of Magic Kingdom -- oh how I wish I was there this evening. Sigh.

Glad BrooklynsMommy is here now to clarify the details. ;)

I'm not surprized you stayed to take pics. I'm so glad you did. I could sit back and look at your shopping pics all night. :thumbsup2

Do you ever get crazy looks from people or CM's when you take pics of merchandise in stores?

I really liked the glass castle statue. Did it change colors?

Hope you enjoyed your day off, I am a tad bit jealous because it wasn't a holiday for us and I had to work.

Oh, you're giving me so many ideas of things to check out, like the Small World figurines. I love the hippo. I also spied some pins! :)

Great update MeMom:thumbsup2 Are you guys getting any snow tonight? I live in Florence sc and they are calling for some here tonight and tomorrow. My little guy is so excited! I hope we get a little bit:)

We got a dusting of snow this morning. It was pretty on the ground and trees.

Oh I love the pictures from Main Street! :cloud9: Some nights we'll just go sit down somewhere along there and people watch and take in the lights, the music, and the whole atomosphere of being at WDW. *sigh*

I know. Just the atmosphere is cool. When I look at the pictures, even though it might have been crowded and all, I just think of how happy the feeling is when I am there.

Great update MeMom! I like the little statue that is Mickey and Minnie getting married...Patrick's cousin is getting married in June and we will be flying out to SD for the wedding...We are thinking of getting them something cute and Disney as a present since they are one of those couples that has just about everything!

That would be a great gift!

Great update! I love shopping with you! Brr....I don't think I would want to go swimming if the lifeguard was wearing a jacket!

It was very cold several of those nights, and it was the first time I'd ever seen the lifeguards so bundled up. I've seen them with jackets, but not with just tons of stuff on.

I know someone who has a whole set of these and I think they are so neat! :)

I love all of your pictures of merchandise. I'm always amazed when I look at other people's photos and see so many things that I have never noticed. This trip is going to be more relaxed so I can enjoy all of this little details. :thumbsup2

I like to look back on all the goodies I wanted to buy but couldn't afford to. I still get some pleasure in being able to see them, at least. I had really planned to buy the big Eeyore one with the Christmas decorations hanging on him, but I just didn't want to spend the money when the time came.

I loveee all the shopping pictures! How cute are those precious moments with Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty's castles?! I want those, they're adorable. :flower3:

I was surprised when Jill got me the Cinderella one for Christmas. I love it!

just caught up--- loved, loved, loved the sequence of the castle being lighted!!:cool1: Thanks for sharing for I have never been to the world during the holidays!

You need to go! It's a whole new experience.

Took a break from DIS. Back now and took a few days to get caught up. I wish we would have seen you at MK on the Wednesday, but my DH's cousins (10, 16, and 17) met up with us for the day. We spent the day trying to get as many rides in as possible with them. They live less than an hour away from the World-Lucky them! It looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving trip. Your pictures are great, as always. Can't wait to read more.

I'm glad you got to see your family. It would be nice to live close. I use to live in St. Pete many years ago, but that was when there was only a Magic Kingdom. If I lived there now, I think I would drive over sometimes just to walk around World Showcase, see fireworks, or go to DTD.

MeMom you are the best for virtual shopping! I never noticed the little green alien plushies! Oh I want one!!! Just what every grown woman needs! :upsidedow And you're right about it being chilly! I never knew central FL got as chilly as it did! There was one night I actually wore the gloves I brought down (not thinking it would really be cold from a Canadian's point of view!)!

The alien guys are pretty cute, aren't they?

I didn't have gloves, but the lifeguards had about everything but their faces covered up!

What good looking pirates!!!

I have to agree!! It is a beautiful site to see it in person!! I get teary eyed every single time!!!!!!

They were at least better looking than most of the pirates inside the ride, in my opinion. :)

Yeah, our morning dusting of snow was not enough for any dangerous roads, so we'll be back bright and early tomorrow.

Some lucky people were down there tonight enjoying Main Street, but this night it's just not our turn.

Hope you enjoyed your day off, I am a tad bit jealous because it wasn't a holiday for us and I had to work.

I haven't noticed anyone ever giving me strange looks. Usually they are very friendly. I have even had them move to the side so they wouldn't have their arm in the way of the shelf I'm photographing or whatever.

They might give me strange looks, though, and I'm just too busy to notice. I see other people taking shop pictures sometimes, too. Not often, but sometimes.

I didn't stand there long enough to know if they changed colors. I just snapped and moved on.

Sorry you had to work. We got lucky and got a four day weekend with the cold day on Friday and MLK today.

I like four day weekends! :) :) :) :)

Oh, you're giving me so many ideas of things to check out, like the Small World figurines. I love the hippo. I also spied some pins! :)

I love that hippo, too!

I think those figurines were pretty pricey, though, so pictures will have to suffice for me for now. I'll have to do better at getting price tag pictures from now on so people can know how many Disney dollars they're going to need to take with them!!!

great update and pics.

I love the Jim Shore ornaments. They sell them here in WOD and I have 2. I also bought them for 2 people I think on the exchange thread on Enchanted. Makes an easy exchange. :thumbsup2

Great pictures.

And the little aliens talk and dance! We will have to go visit them on our next trip.

Im back!! I have missed reading about your adventures! My hubby is home from Iraq and is safe and happy to be back. I lost my internet right before Thanksgiving and the cable company had no idea what ws wrong with it!!:confused3 My wonderful, smart husband computer tech was home for about an hour and a half and had it up and running. Now I have him back, my internet back and I am ready to read all about your Thanksgiving trip!:wave2:

Me, too. I really want that Eeyore one one day. That will probably be the first one of those I get, when I can get one.

Love the shopping pictures. I especially love the Mike Wazowski tshirt, super cute. :thumbsup2

I like shopping for everyone, too, so it all works out. I like seeing other people's shopping pictures, too, so you guys keep that in mind when you go!

Great pictures.

It was very tempting to buy one of those.
For Brooklynn, of course. Not for myself. :rolleyes1

I'm glad he's back and I'm glad you're back! Yay for everybody!

You have a lot to catch up on!

********************************

The next morning, it was cold.

And it was Thanksgiving.

I couldn't think of a better place to be that morning.
If Drew had been there, it would have been completely perfect, but work was work at that time of the year.

At the All Stars, I have three resorts to walk around in the mornings, so that makes me pretty happy! This day, I must have been in a sporting mood.

Not quite open yet.

The Sports arcade.

IMG_0067.jpg

Back to the room to meet Cousin It.

IMG_0069.jpg

On the way to the bus stop, Brooklynn stopped to check out twirly things.

IMG_0070.jpg

And girly things.

IMG_0071.jpg

Then on to the Magic Kingdom!

IMG_0072.jpg

Some hula hooping before opening.

IMG_0077.jpg

Next up, an official welcome.

IMG_0078.jpg

Great Update :thumbsup2
The only rope drop we have ever made it to is AK, and that was on our last trip and completely by accident! That was before the DIS and I even knew that they existed....I have already warned Patrick that we are at least doing the MK this trip because I have heard that they do a "Singin' in the Rain" version, and that is one of my favorite movies!

What a great update! I always love seeing Rope Drop photos because I don't often make it! :rotfl: I didn't catch one on the trip in December and I got one the trip before that! Well...we would have had one on the december trip but it happened to fall on the day of the filming for the Christmas parade...Brooklyn looks very cute as Cousin It! And very cute hula-hooping! I love that she's so into shopping already! She's gonna be like her MeMom!:goodvibes

When we used to stay at the GF, we'd get up early and walk by the pool and I always thought it was cool when there were ducks swimming in it!

I just still can't get over how big Brookie's getting. :goodvibes

I love sports - I really need to check out some of those resorts! Every trip I plan to do a resorts tour, but it never happens. At least on this trip we'll get to see POR since we'll be staying there! :thumbsup2 And I have seen the Poly and quite a bit of Animal Kingdom Lodge (one of our favorite places to hang out).

Yay for rope drop! We've only ever seen the opening show at MK once. I hope we get to see it on this trip too. :goodvibes

I've never been to a park without having been at the rope drop. I think I've been brainwashed.....:rotfl2: Goodness, what would happen if I arrived at noon????

Brooklynn's hairbow is so adorable! I love how Jill does her hair on the bus! It looks like the beginnings of a wonderful MK day! :thumbsup2

Love all the pictures from the All Stars! I know Movies and Music are close so I hope to get over to Music on our trip. And I like that picture of Brooklynn being Cousin It :lmao: Shes just so adorable and its so cute to see how much shes grown since your first TR!

Many Disney friends greeted the Thanksgiving Day crowd.

IMG_0079.jpg

We made our way to Fantasyland.
I took pictures of things in the castle as I walked through.

IMG_0080.jpg

IMG_0081.jpg

IMG_0083.jpg

Dumbo is always the first ride when we're there at rope drop.

IMG_0084.jpg

When we're not there early, we normally don't stand in line for it.

Can you tell Brooklynn is waving in this one?

IMG_0085.jpg

Ride over.
Someone else's turn.

IMG_0095.jpg

You know the drill, if you've followed us enough.
Next up, Peter Pan.

IMG_0097.jpg

IMG_0098.jpg

I think I took zero pictures in there this time, but just sat back and enjoyed the ride.

To the Carrousel.

IMG_0099.jpg

From the line.

IMG_0101.jpg

Brooklynn is learning from others, I guess her school friends, how to be scared. She's never been afraid of anything at Disney World, but at this age, she showed signs of a little reluctance here and there. Just a little, but you could tell a difference in the unwavering 'I'm game for anything' attitude of her younger days.

I think this was the day that she decided we wouldn't go on Snow White because she was probably sleeping.

One of the horses.

IMG_0102.jpg

Brooklynn chose this one.

IMG_0103.jpg

I'm not sure if this was the time Jill was headed toward the Cinderella horse but another little girl got on it before her. That might have been this summer. I can't remember. That's fine, though. Brooklynn has ridden it a couple of times before, so it's great for someone else to have that special ride. Brooklynn doesn't care one way or the other.

I decided Brooklynn should race this lady.

IMG_0104.jpg

It was neck in neck the whole way,

IMG_0106.jpg

but I think the lady beat Brooklynn by a nose.

The lady never knew they were racing, by the way.
She was waving to her family the whole time.
It was kind of cute.

Ariel's Grotto.

IMG_0111.jpg

I can't think of many other times in life I say the word grotto unless I'm here.

It wasn't open quite yet, so I went to take another picture while the others waited in line.

I chose to take a picture of cute little Pinocchio and his haus.

IMG_0112.jpg

It was time to get in line for Ariel.

IMG_0113.jpg

Brooklynn can just about recite the entire script of The Little Mermaid.

IMG_0115.jpg

The two of them discussed things.

IMG_0116.jpg

IMG_0118.jpg

Sliding down off the rock.

IMG_0119.jpg

That's it for tonight.
I hope you enjoyed our short jaunt through Fantasyland.

Back to the room to meet Cousin It.

IMG_0069.jpg

:rotfl:

Ride over.
Someone else's turn.

IMG_0095.jpg

did you see the episode of jon and kate plus 8 where one of the little boys couldn't understand that after the ride was over it was someone else's turn? he was so pitiful!

I decided Brooklynn should race this lady.

IMG_0104.jpg

apparently this lady knows how to do THE WAVE, as well. :lmao:

Brooklynn can just about recite the entire script of The Little Mermaid.

she and i should get together and do our renditions of the little mermaid and beauty and the beast. when i was a teenager i would babysit my brother and sister during the summer and they wanted to watch B&tB EVERY MORNING so i still know every word to this day. and they watched the little mermaid so much that the tape broke. :rotfl:

I loved the jaunt through Fantasyland. It made my evening.
I've always wanted to go meet Ariel but for some reason, I am very hesitant. I think I have loved Ariel for so long that I am little intimidated. Which is just sad sounding. :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I enjoyed the ride on Dumbo this evening...it's my favorite ride! As I plan our trip, I wonder about certain rides, like Snow White, does Brooklynn think it is scary? Hannah liked the movie, but I wonder when she sees the witch "for real" if it will scare her.
