Please remember that you are at Disney to relax and enjoy! :earsboy: We have gone so many times without any PS for dinners etc and still had a blast! I would hate to be tied down to schedules and worrying about getting from place to place the whole time I was there!

It all depends on when you go and what your travel party is like. We got in prime time July summer crowds with three small children. You can be we make a PS every day (can always cancel if we change our mind). THat way we know we won't be waiting in any long lines to eat and the kids get to eat where they like the most. To each his own but I wouldn't think of going in the summer with kids without SOME PSs.

I've also seen way too many disappointed families not getting to eat at the character meal they want- to not make the PS. I would much rather have a PS that we can cancel than have to eat another hotdog at a stand. PS has always worked well for us- family of 6 this time. IF we don't make reservations ahead we don't eat in a sit down restaurant. Good news is that this time we are staying someplace with room service!

I agree!! at least 1 ps per day, especially in summer and high peak times

BTW not only is the room service at GF great - Gasparillas has some really good fast food to go. They give you a lot too I usually split 2 kids meals between three kids and there is still some left over. And you can't beat them for their Mickey bars - my kids always liked to eat them while watching the fireworks. They have little tables set up outside of Gasparillas with a perfect view of the castle and the fireworks.

I recommend one PS a day in peak times, but if you don't get there in time,I wouldn't worry either. :earsboy: :earsboy:

I agree with this. We used to try to do things on the fly and would occasionally get stuck not being able to eat at the places we want. Now, we make an PS for dinner every night (and one or two breakfast PS too), but are flexible enough that if the day takes us in a different direction, we don't freak out about having to do exactly what our "schedule" says.

We have 1 ps each day and at off times 1:30, 3:00, for a group of 11. We are only planning our 1 meal a day together, and are going to the same park each day but splitting up due to height/scare factors

I always make PS. I would rather change my mind and cancel than want a nice meal or a particular rest. and be out of luck at the last minute. I rarely ever decide to cancel and I figure that if I do a non-planner will have an unexpected surprise when they get in. For our upcoming trip I have a PS for evey days breakfast, dinner every night, and two lunches.

Without ps we would not have been able to eat where we wanted to last June and counter service for DH doesn't cut it. Sci Fi took no walk ins two days when we were there and Prime Time had over an hour wait. Forget Boma without one too unless we want a long wait.

It's our first trip and we went with (almost one PS per day) We have a CB at Chef Mickeys, one for a dinner out (just us, yahoo), the Whoop De Doo Review and resies for the kids on the Pirate Cruise at at GF. I'm in my late 30's and I'm more exited than the kids. :cool1:
