We are looking into booking an outside videographer, Does anyone have any suggestions on who to contact? Also, I would love to book a videographer that has some cool "Disney Intro" to the video as well :-)

YES.

I just booked today You and I Pictures (youandipictures.com). They are a bit on the pricey end, but I personally don't think they're too bad. I think they're BEAUTIFUL.

The other videographer that impressed me (my second choice) was Beyond Videography (beyondvideography.com). Their price is GREAT, and they look awesome too. The reason I ultimately didn't go with them was because I just liked You and I Pictures' style a bit more. It reflected more of the "feel" I want for my wedding video. As far as the guy who owns it (Tyler), he is SUPER nice and easy to get along with.

Other guy I liked (but he was a bit pricey for what he wanted) was Lasting Blueprint Productions (www.lastingblueprint.com/). He'll make a wedding poster (like a movie poster!) for you! (For a price!)

I don't know how much research you've done yourself...but research is important. Look at everyone you can. Prices depend on videographer, and each of their "packages" seem different. The hours of coverage you require will play a big part. For me--I need at least 10 (we're doing a Wishes ceremony in the morning, reception until 2 PM, and then dessert party in the evening). If you need 8-10 hours of coverage, I would say that you'll spend no less than $1,800 for a good videographer. If you need more--I'd say you'll spend no less than $2,000.

Our guy is a bit pricier--and he's coming from New Symrna (sp?). Because of our timeline, he didn't want to drive home that evening. Not to mention, our event isn't 'consecutive,' so splitting the hours is kind of a pain in the butt. For the quality of the guy...I honestly feel extremely lucky. I think his work is GORGEOUS. Some videographers (*ahem* Disney) charge like $5K.

If you look at You and I Pictures--make sure you check out the sailboat wedding. Holy crap.

I don't think I've ever been so moved watching someone else's wedding--and I don't even know the people.

In addition to the sailboat...watch a couple of the others. They do this funky, awesome thing with the couple's rings where they roll them around a bit. Love it.

We didn't book videography, but a couple of the weddings that 829 Films shot blew me away. If I had prioritized video, I definitely would have hired them.

Hey Melissa! I noticed in your signature line that you're staying at the Boardwalk Villas in October of this year! Are you a DVC member at that resort? My fiance and I bought into Saratoga Springs last year. We really want to stay at Boardwalk...but they always seem to be sold out (since it's not our home resort). I wonder if they just lied to us in the sales meeting about how "easy" it is to get into resorts other than your home one... :/

No, we don't own there, and it's not easy to get in there during Food & Wine if you don't. We actually just booked a room in the Villas side directly through Disney, and are waiting for the AP discounts to come out before we decide whether we keep it. If the fall AP discounts don't apply to the Boardwalk, we'll probably switch to Old Key West or one of the moderates.

Sorry--dumb me. I am not familiar with the acronym "AP." :/

Have you seen any Disney weddings done by you and I? I scoured their site but couldn't find any. Thanks;) their work is beautiful!
