Outside Vendors

How do the logistics work when you use an outside vendor. How do the EMs handle it or are you on your own?
For example, the WDW florist is very expensive, if we went to an outside vendor how would we get the flowers, who would do the set uo for the ceremony and the reception?
Also, if used a different vendor for ceremony chairs, will WDW let the vendor set up and take down the chairs. Will the EM be involved?

I used outside vendors for my Feb 19th wedding. I used Disney floral for the guys / moms floral, but had my bouquets done elsewhere. Disney told me as long as they didn't have to set anything up there would be no charge for bringing outside floral. I was not charged for bringing my altar arrangement from outside. I don't know if it was an oversite on their part, but I gave it to my planner the night before and they had everything set up for me. They also moved all floral to the reception site. Using outside bands / DJ is can cost about $750 extra...however even w/ that charge you can get the same bands they hire for cheaper yourself. (we used mark zauss and the z street band---disney books them for like 2x what we got them for on our own). I don't know about the chairs. Thanks for your insight. I am sure that many custom brides on this board would benefit from your advice. Who did you use for floral? I am considering an outside florist for our intimate.
 

For flower petals for fg are the prices outrageous? I thought about having her sprinkle "pixie dust" confetti but will they charge a clean up fee?
 
I brought my own petals to toss after the ceremony. There was no clean up fee. I had disney decorate the inside with petals they cahrged $40. I had Expressions of Santa Rosa do my floral. They are up here in Pensacola area. They were fantastic! The bouquets were silk...but nobody even knew. If i could figure out how to post pics in here I would show you a pic. :sad2:
Pixie dust would be really cool...never thought of that
 
Pixie Dust does sond really nice! If it is at an outside location though Disney told me it must be natural or bio degradeable.
 
i had silk petals so that they wouldnt stain my dress. they had no problem with that. they told me bring whatever you want.
